Ayu's never moving around that much, only in the beginning and the end, so I think she's just a robot, like the one she uncovers at the end. Another reason why my thoughts are drifting in that direction: the 'underground, sparkling' Ayu, seems to controll her.
The old man seems to be a god or something (the way he's dressed, the beard, he gives a god-like impression).
The scarecrow, scarecrows are designed like humans, but they don't live.
And at least the robot guy, the way he moves he's either not very good at dancing or a robot xD Well, it's ovious he's a robot.

So I think, to make the little boy more outstanding, he actually says something (and to empathize his human-ness, he's saying it in a totally different language, so you really have no other choice but to notice him). The fact that he tries to give a scarecrow candy, is another thing, that makes him totally human, since that is a thing only a child would do, maybe he's trying to make friends with the scarecrow.

Sorry for my bad explanation, but my english isn't very well today and it's late >___<
*off to bed* =__=

that's a nice interpretation you have there :yes
but i don't think that Ayu's a robot there... why?
if you look at it a bit more you'll notice that the Ayu in the pink dress is more of a bystander, or a storyteller, don't you think??
but if we look at the other characters that are in the PV we could make a diferent story.

first we have the human kid that's eager for some company or friend, then we have the robot guy that's just doing stuff... probablly lost because there's no human around to tell him what to do so he has no purpose, nothing to do.

and then we have tho old guy, The God in this story, he looks tired don't you agree? it's like he's given up on his creatures, us humans so he's sad...

i'm not sure how to interprete the shiny Ayu...
we can see that she's actually in a safe place that's underground right? the camera zoomed in from the little anthole and got to her.

and the most interesting part is the end of the PV. the storyteller (Ayu) removes the sheets and for a split second we can see the robot Ayu.

it's all proablly how Ayu felt with Avex telling her what to do in the beginings when she didn't have so much "control" over her work (even tough that all doesn't match quite with the song lyrics....)

he's obviously asking if you want blue candy not pink, during the instrumental part near the end he even sticks out his tongue which is blue.

I always imagined it as the boy guy and old guy as past present future, or phases of life, young, middle aged, old. that's all I could get out of the video. the video doesn't even have to make sense with the song/lyrics. just look at BaD or ourselves.

So that's with the blue thingie under their skin and the tree too then? Showing their 'unalive insides', 'artificial depth'. This video just has nothing to do with the song for me, I never understood the video and it still just seems to odd to me... Also, the thing with the JEWEL-ayu and Moments-Ayu (LOL, couldn't resist, but it fits, hope u understand...), the JEWEL-Ayu looks like she's in a peaceful and relaxing place, like paradise or something, or like she's about go through surgery, too really. :P But the Moments-Ayu look like she's in pain, and fighting against something, maybe... Like sparkly Ayu can live her life peacefully without any pain but other Ayu most suffer through watching the sad world of artificiality and sorrow...

I always thought that in this video she's daydreaming from some "real" magical place (jewel-ayu) and at the end she falls asleep, the dream ends and reality begins (when ayu appears behind the cape and all lights are switched off)... something like that when you're sleeping live your reality and when you believe are awake really you're dreaming... haha! ok yeah I know, I need to sleep more :D lol
