yup that is so Chinese style! they probably would sell it for $5 but they just said "oh it's $10, but i'll sell it to you for $8". the normal street smart reply would be "$8?! are u kidding me? i saw these up the street for $3 *walk away leaving*". then, the clerk will go "fine fine, i sell it for $5". lol~

I understand you're glad you found them, but it's better to support Ayu by buying original copies..

I don't really like bootlegs either, but it is cool that you found something Ayu related. ;) I remember going to Koreatown and Little Tokyo in LA and seeing Ayu stuff everywhere. I was so broke then. I wanted to buy everything. xD I went to a small shop in Little Tokyo (which wasn't there the last time we went) and they had A BEST 2 -BLACK- for like $50.00 :weep

i agree no mather where you are you can bargain and as soon as they see you leaving they go down on the price . honestly i dont like that because if you are white they give you a high price and if you are chinese you get great price .
in china its even worse the difference of price depending of were you come from.
that s why even with a bargain , its stil feel like you are getting ripped off :no

ownsarai---> you must be talking about that small book store upstairs . i went there too , everything is so overpriced , especially everything that's school related or cute stuff like phone strap , they double the original price. i never buy anything there because i refuse to pay so much for an item i know i can get cheapper somewhere else that will be exactly the same .

well some of us don't really have the money, so we either go for cheap or just downloading. we try to buy ayu's material when we can :). i know i do. :yes

Well, it was marked as 10 dollars originally but I should've bargained wit her. I asked her what DVD region it was and she said her English no good. I basically just figured 'screw it' and bought it anyway. I figured it was because it was Chinatown and no one came to buy Ayu DVDs and it wasn't like she was a store known for selling Jpop DVDs/CDs. Like, clearance.

I played the I Am... CD and the quality is not good on a CD player. Some songs don't play and I played it a second time the songs that didn't play and the other ones that play will not. XD I'm thinking of just downloading the songs and burning a CD and sticking it in the booklet.

Yeah, my mom is unemployed right now and refuses to buy anything off the Internet so I can only buy the ones on Itunes or if I buy an itunes gift card or my friend gives me an Amazon gift card. It's not like I'm sixteen and can get a job.

usako168 13th September 2009 12:36 AM

sorry, I would NEVER pay for a bootleg.
