Maybe... I wonder if it's possible that part of her recent depression-like symptoms could've been after finding out that McQueen passed away? I mean, she wore his clothes basically less than 2 weeks before he took his own life.

I always thought that his outfits were really really cool, though sometimes they were too overpowering, kinda like that white and black dress top and skirt. I think that Ayu putting the top with the black pants makes me appreciate it so much more. I do love that she can take bits and pieces of high fashion clothing and just put something together, even toning it down if necessary.

I really love his clothing though; it's a real shame he's gone :(

Perhaps the video is a tribute to him. I can't see her dedicating the entire album to him... if she did, she'd have to add a bit about Michael Jackson too. Then it'd get out of hand.

The only thing I can remember is the touching line in the GUILTY album, but that was a very close friend, not a designer whose clothes she wore. And we didn't hear anything from her about MJ either (right? Or did I miss that).

No idea, haha. As for Dearest, her friend was still alive at the time, so... -shrug-

We probably won't get a dedication, but it'd be touching/neat.

And I just got a really shocking thought.. What if McQueen is part of the "50 famous British people" who'll be in her PV O__O I mean she's already wearing 2 of his (gorgeous) outfits.

Dearest was written in 2001. Her friend got ill/whatever/passed away in 2007.
I think Dearest was about her feelings towards herself and the music world if anything.

It is not 50 famous British people. It is over 50 models and musicians [professional ones]... the drummer is a professional drummer, the models are pro male models it seems, and I'm gonna guess that she has a lot more models and musicians to show us in the PV, haha. (And... all... male... which should say something about the lyrical content, maybe.)
