I really really dont like the Sayonara Baby version with Sky-Hi. Just knowing the original exists makes me not like it...

I'm a bit perplexed reading comments that SKY-HI screams. I listened to the song with my earphones and if he is screaming, I'm scared to be half deaf because I don't hear that at all :shakehead

I don’t get the screaming at all. Really guys, do you even listen to the same song? He is actually quite toned down compared to other songs - nearly soft in some parts. His voice can be annoying, yes, but thats something different.

I like the song - it’s a new song, which is good since I don’t need the same song twice, hence I can’t say I prefer either over the other.

Yikes. How did Sony let that happen? I thought it would at least make the lower top 10 easily. No wonder on Instagram that she said this could be her last major BEST.

^tbqh, the way she handles her music/outfit/looks etc. is rather independent anyways. I guess her last single really was the nail to the coffin. It sold like what, a thousand copies?
I still think Sony Japan is one of the "worst" companies out there. They do have a good eye for musicians and they are pretty good in initial marketing strategies - but when it comes to maintaining an artist they really blow. More over they often loose the Zeitgeist when it comes to global marketing.

Sony is indeed notorious for screwing over artists long-term. Nami Tamaki and Crystal Kay are the best examples. Mika Nakashima has found herself stuck in this bizarre compilation cycle for years now.

I thought Miliyah was in a more stable situation. I do fear that the performance of her last single may have finished her off in the eyes of Sony. If that's the case, then she's kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. Leaving Sony would do her no favors to be honest.

^Hmm her tours seem to sell tho. I really don't know. But as I said: I also don't get why she isn't more successful. She was never "really really big" but she was always stable until she started to decline after TRUE LOVERS.

Oh, her tours continue to do well. I just meant I thought she was stable in terms of top 10 debuts. I didn't think a BEST she put some time and energy into would miss the top 10 like this.

Sony did her dirty on her 15th anniversary. They could have picked a quieter release date and secured her a top 10 album.
