MW looks so good!!!

[taskin.ayu] 22nd September 2008 10:00 AM

Wow Ayu has a much cooler cap for MW now. XDD
Also, is it just me or did the outfits get more revealing for this leg of the tour? XD

Maybe Ayu will release two versions of the DVD? The JPN version and the HK version? But then again.. that means waiting another 5 months for it. D:

keikeiaznqueen 22nd September 2008 11:07 AM

lol I think I need to offer a balance to the report by the person at JPM. (Someone at JPM read my report??)

Well this sure is a pessimistic way to look at the concert. It's understandable to be disappointed because it's not what you expect it to be, but it's up to the audience in the end to make it the best they can with what there is. If nobody else knows what's going on, show them! When I stood up (being the only person standing up in an entire block is seriously awkward), the entire row behind me followed. When I did the special move in Fly high, so did the others.

Quote:

8) keikeiaznqueen talks about how the stadium was all together on the cheering for Ayu pre-encore...um...it was more like the audience tried ayu chanting about 5 times and each time it lasted for about 30 seconds and then died. It was really pathetic because no one was getting into it.
Not true! Even in Japan, the "A~A~A~Ayu" 'A' symbol chanting and clapping doesn't last all the way throughout. Neither does the shouting. It comes in tides no matter where you are. I don't know where the idea that people weren't getting into it was coming from but there were plenty of people who wanted to stand up and dance, including myself and my sister, even though through half of the concert, we weren't allowed to. So the stadium wasn't full of people with glowing sticks, nor did everyone really know what was going on all the time, but as part of the audience, you can't enjoy the show if you don't make the most out of it.

In every part of the stadium, there are a few people who actually know what they're supposed to do. At first, not many did the fist pumping for "Wow~yeah" in 'evolution', but eventually, lots of people followed the lead of those who knew it (there were actually quite a few), didn't they? From where I was, I saw the entire stadium move in unison for Fly high, Boys & Girls, and evolution.

I'd have to agree with you on the DoY comment. HOWEVER, the performance in HK was actually better than the one in Japan, because back in Japan, maybe Ayu's voice was in lesser condition, it sounded really scratched while she was trying to change her voice to make it nasal for the song. Her voice was smoother this time round and it was better suited. I'm still grateful that she sang this song.

When Ayu said "Vocal, Ayu deshita" like she does in every concert, there wasn't a cheering uproar like there was supposed to be because most people misunderstood and thought whatever she said BEFORE was "Ayu deshita". The loudest cheering came right BEFORE "Ayu deshita", and that was why the stadium was a lot quieter when it wasn't supposed to be. But don't let the language barrier dampen the mood. :)

Boys & Girls-- well, I was singing... I was probably one of the few people who did the proper B&G moves, at least in my part of the stadium. I'm sure a lot of others that I didn't see did it too. I seriously had the most fun in B&G. I don't know why you thought it was awkward when you could have sung too.

As for the off-pitchness, that's actually kinda normal. She wasn't even that offpitch most of the time, just some flat notes here and there which is kind of what is expected. She sounded better in MW than she did during the 6/29 performance. She didn't go offkey or cry during MY ALL. I think it's actually a really good concert. I came out of the stadium afterwards and couldn't stop grinning.

EDIT: Oh hey, she's not wearing the white shirt under the DoY outfit!

Haha, because she lost weight again. : D I prefer this look to the other one, but I'm afraid they'll put the Yoyogi version on the DVD where some stuff went wrong. .__.

Shuya bound with a collar..haha (I wonder if Maro was one of the decision dancers too O_O). And if this time Midoring was a my name's WOMEN dancer. Idk who I'm seeing in the image. XD

Is not crying a good thing? =p

I don't know what the whole issue with the moves is, and with others not knowing them. o.O IMO they're mostly kinda silly. Of course when I go, I'll do them, but I liked her non-choreographies pre-2002-ish more. ^^ Jumping and pointing your hand into the air ala rock concerts is awesome. =p

prussian blue 22nd September 2008 11:36 AM

lol i read the article (the chinese news article) and its quite funny

since when shu-ya is ayu's gossip BF? i thought its only the role he made, and not really making a real relationship.

ayu_ayu301 22nd September 2008 12:58 PM

I went to the 09/21 HK concert and calling anything less than breath-taking would be an understatement ...

I was sitting 10 rows from the runway around the middle portion and Ayumi was so up-close the whole concert ! Her singing really seem to be better this year IMO because her annoying vibrato is gone and she look so much hotter than last year concert at HK ...

Fans involvement was not bad at all .. or not as bad as that review up there .. I would say at least 50% of the crowd participated throughout the concert ... many people around me never touch their seats since the light is off LOL

waterballoon 22nd September 2008 02:33 PM

Whoa this concert seems more exciting as each day passes! I honestly just can't wait for the DVD to be released!

And for that JPM "report", well I don't know, but I think he made a lot of unnecessary complaints? Like how he said it was more show than singing... I guess, in a way, because she has lost the hearing of her left ear, she needed to compensate for the lesser musicality (although I really don't think it's any lesser), that's why the whole show-y concert.

In fact, she has been doing very dramatic and grandeur concerts since like when, AT 05? That is a new generation of her concerts, not the ones you get pre-2005... so I don't know.

Lee_410 22nd September 2008 03:09 PM

I want a Fly high uniform. They're so cool!

Anyways, she should have sung independent instead of Dearest. The crowd would love it!

majrakun 22nd September 2008 03:10 PM

I thought all the dancers for Decision has collars with chains. Man, the bondage theme just gets better every year. XD Is Kayanocchi being the backup singer again? I wonder who replaced Yuri or Yuki or whatever her name was in the AT05 performance?

futureLOVE 22nd September 2008 03:49 PM

She changed up some of the costumes a little bit...

t2m/ASFXX: it's two pieces now...it used to be one
DoY/Fly High: the white shirt underneath is gone..
Mirrorcle World: different hat and a completely different dress underneath *I think*

se7entheaven 22nd September 2008 04:48 PM

she changes her MW hat into this nice one
so she doesnt have to put on wig ^^

Jwiz 22nd September 2008 05:04 PM

I love each and every photo, and ayu certainly looked much better, and silmmer than when she was performing in japan.

I enjoyed watching the short video of marionette and MY ALL too; they are simply amazing.

Im also glad that to see many hongkong fans posting their experiences and opinions about the concerts (thanks for everything); all these make me more excited about the release of at08 dvd! X]

And thank god for that! I mean the other costumes with heavy textures ans such made her look bigger then she was. So this "slimmer" look doesnt suprice me since some things have changed to the better.

Thx for the pics!!

freedreamer 22nd September 2008 05:28 PM

seems like her vocals are an issue these days...but i'll just take all the audience's word for it...
wadeva the case, she still delivered im sure

i love all her new looks...i HOPE they can have a seperate ASIA DVD...really hope
i dun mind

anyway, SHE SOUNDS GD IN MW!!!

Melrose 22nd September 2008 09:31 PM

^

I really hope they'll use one of the oversea concerts for the DVD, but I doubt it as Yoyogi had a TON of cameras from what people said. But at Yoyogi, she still had the bad MW outfit, the fattening t2m outfit, no A Song for XX, her vocals were worse if I compare the Yoyogi newsclip with the HK newsclip, the my name's WOMEN costume fell apart and the intro of Dearest was messed up.
