Hm, no it's not like PoM. It's like the Original Version, but with... less instruments? :D I loved the walking proud, part of Me and Together when... section. I died three times of happiness :yes

Curious to hear the acoustic version of Walking Proud. I hate the original version.

Omg it has one of the most AMAAAAAZING, interwoven, complimentary, layered, and well put together arrangements in her entire discography!! This is absurdity, lol.

^truth...for once. But you always judge by that...to like a song there is much more to it...mood, time, personality, lyrics, overall sound...all your post always talk about the production of a song but only a very few people judge by that. The simplest pop song could be amazing to certain person, and the same person could hate the most terrific arrangement. That is why people disagree with you so often :)

walking proud is a master piece though! XD

have to jump on the "walking proud is an epic classic" train.

Yeah that is my tendency because that is where my values lie. I was thinking about that recently; your judgement and perception is always a reflection of your values (or rather, derived from them). Attention to detail, having to make a plethora of decisions that somehow all end up working just perfectly together in the end - that's something I have an immense amount of respect for. I always end up thinking about how many different variables are at play in the track, and marveling at the way in which they all just came together like that. But I also think mood, personality and overall sound is all a part of that as well - all of which I think are on par with the production in walking proud. The lyrics of course too, but for me lyrics are the least important part of the puzzle.

Also in this context, it was mentioned that the user was looking forward to the acoustic version, which means the only variable changing in the song would be the arrangement and production - so it makes sense to comment from that angle.

I also don't like walking proud.
But acoustic it's probably alright in the setlist. ;)

BlackSilence 15th October 2016 07:30 PM

i never really gave much attention to walking proud, i only started enjoying it after hearing her sing it live. It's a decent track, but i could never be obsessed like 99% of the forum is. LOL I don't skip it but i don't go looking for it specifically either.

I do enjoy the classical version more than the original though, I just love classical arrangements i guess, cuz the sounds for me usually do a better job in conveying the mood of the song. Plus orchestra makes even the worst songs much better, it gives them class, you can never go wrong with that. lol

Minttulatte 15th October 2016 10:24 PM

walking proud is flawless in every way I can think of lol. That acoustic version will slay my soul (if it ends up being on the DVD). :heart

Yumsushi 15th October 2016 10:46 PM

Well, Im glad I didnt attend the last Osaka date. Hearing walking proud would be great but hearing the Show must go on would be painful and I already had to sit through Shake it and Nanana...

These are the same fans that picked Today as the best song off of Made in japan lol! If Ayu had an overseas concert where overseas TA could vote on what songs they wanted to have played I would go to that in a heartbeat regardless of ticket price.

Rajma 16th October 2016 01:27 AM

^
ll be a good!
The type of the concert that is TA LIMITED, it will be good for make on oversea... and a worthwhile experience for ayu, just I think.

ExodusUK 16th October 2016 03:49 AM

omg..I hate walking proud and moments. Like whatever she's doing with her voice in those songs is just a turn off. HAPPY ENDING is so much better.

SayukiChoco 16th October 2016 04:07 AM

^ Lol, I love how opinions are so different sometimes. Moments is by far my favorite song from her while HAPPY ENDING is in the Top 5 of my most disliked Ayu songs.

I have to say I love both songs. I was rewatching secret Xmas performance of Walking proud the other day, it was so good, those golden days...

Miduhyo 16th October 2016 08:14 AM

I don't hate walking proud but I don't love it either. To be honest, I never listen to it. I had to go find it again in my ayu discography and give it a listen because I couldn't for the life of me remember how it even sounds.

But Moments... I love that song. I love listening to it while working because it relaxes me. It's just a nice, enjoyable, well-written song. Though I can't remember the last time I actually liked her voice as she sung it live.

EndOfTheWorld 16th October 2016 08:45 AM

I also love walking proud.:yes:laugh
The remix on Ayu mi x 6 Silver is a favorite.

Don't worry about it, I guess it's just a matter of taste.

I love Shake It and NaNaNa, those are my two favorite songs from Party Queen. I do seem to belong to a minority with this opinion though...

Don't think it will big enough for oversea TA tour (US or EU).. Probably that will only have 100 people per tour and she make it for TA special dinner tour.

If she does that in Asia, that may have a lot more people.
