Summer Time is nice. I think it will grow on me over time. Will be a good add to my summer playlist.

Also much better than Eh Yo which I can't get into. So it makes me a little more excited for what's to come

Also I really stay enjoying Kuu's looks on instagram these days. She is always serving somehow

Corvina 11th July 2019 06:11 PM

Kuu shot something today again.
That guy with her was her cameraman today, Tommy.
Was some time ago since she last shot with him she says.

So, a nice little story I wanna tell.
I have a friend from university and she has quite a broad taste of music, listening to western music, Kpop and Jpop. But is only a casual listener of Kuu.
The last album she physically bought was Dejavu in 2011 and since then she always only bought songs she liked from the albums digitally.
Now she's aboslutely in love with Eh Yo!
Like seriously so obsessed with the song that she already decided to buy the coming album physically! :laugh
And buying all digital singles coming right now after she learned from me that there are probably a bunch to come.
I totally beamed at her when she told me all that, you can imagine. :)

No matter how hard I try, I can't get my husband to love Kuu :laugh

That's OK. I remember years ago, with my ex, he didn't get why I liked Ayu, and then when Party Queen came out, he sat in the room with me while I listened to it from beginning to end, gobsmacked at how off it felt to me, and then he goes, "There's some really good songs on there."

I was like, what?? And I went back through the songs finding the ones he thought were good. We both loved "Return Road", but he also liked "reminds me", "Tell me why", and awkwardly, "Eyes, Smoke, Magic". He ended up liking LOVE again when it came out.

Kuu is a very versatile artist. Maybe figure out what she's done that sounds similar to stuff he tends to listen to, and just listen to those songs more often when he's around?

This was kind of my tactic with explaining my fascination with MIKA NAKASHIMA to my old best friend. He used to think she sounded hearing impaired when she sang, but then listened to songs that were more like something Ayu would do, "Oborozukiyo" and "LEGEND" and especially all the dance tracks on STAR when it came out, and before he passed away last year, he had loved the whole "Koi wo Suru" single a lot.

This woman is absolutely perfect.

~angel*ayumi~ 12th July 2019 09:04 AM

Finally had time to listen to the 2 new songs xD
I prefer Eh Yo over summer time, summer time somehow sounds strange o.o

In the FC mail about the Ongaku no Hi performance this morning they said she "will also perform Cutie Honey in the medley". Guess that's a proper hint she will also perform something else.

lovethatkuu&ayu 12th July 2019 02:18 PM

Thanks for the tour update, Corvina.

This is a great position to be in 2 months before a tour kicks off. The remaining dates in Osaka and Miyagi will be sold out eventually, and that leaves just the dates in Fukuoka.

thinkingoutloud89 12th July 2019 05:27 PM

Do I have to claim the tickets after I won them through livepocket or something? Like is there a time limit?

Corvina 12th July 2019 05:28 PM

TBS put the whole timetable for Ongaku no Hi up.

Kuu is going to perform in the first hour of the 2nd part, starting 11:45 pm JST.
Looks like a solo performance comes first and then in the latter part of the hour the medley with Cutie Honey.

Oh, wow! I wonder if she'll sing Eh Yo, or maybe even Summer Time! She is definitely making the most out of these television appearances.

I think so long as you've paid for them already, your ticket is accounted for, you just gotta collect them at the concert venue :)

Looks like a 1st glance of what Kuu might wear during her appearance on Ongaku no Hi 2019 ?

I like her earrings

thanks for the info.
another thing: Do they still have these gift-boxes at the venue? Like the boxes where you can leave notes and stuff or Kuu after the concert?

Precisely. The cover isn't stellar but the song itself is just amazing, it's all that matters. I find it hilarious the way she says "oh my God-ah" or whatever she's saying. lol I wish she hired kaled kalil to edit the covers for re(CORD), his covers are awesome.

Thanks! haha

I made the covers for both songs already, as you can see in my signature, if anyone cares about it.

I'm so excited for tomorrow! As Corvina said, it really feels like back in the day with two different shows at the same day. Even with the singles being released once a week, it's like her second peak for sure.

Hope for a Summer Time at the Ongaku no Hi, the song is so good that I need to see a performance. ♥

Corvina 13th July 2019 07:40 AM

Summer Time would be nice, but Eh Yo is more likely.
It's the song with the big tie-in after all and the already existent choreography.
As we also know already she will perform it at a-nation as well.
But maybe a suprise medley with both songs? :laugh

She was asked here, what was the time she has sweated the most in her life.
And she says she's usually not sweating much (also using stuff like oil on her skin for her own lives), but last year when a-nation in Mie was cancelled it was a midday performance right in the sun and it was the most sweaty she ever was (at the rehearsals I assume).

Guess they filmed this at the rehearsals they had the last two days for the show.
Or maybe they did pre-record her part, cause she wants to be at home for her son.

Usually there are, so you can expect it.

Ah, yeah, here's a link to watch Ongaku no Hi:
https://mov3.co/en/tbs/
First part started already, it's a 13 hour show after all.

And here's a stream for Fuji TV:
https://mov3.co/en/fujitv/

Music Fair starts 6 pm JST, so in three hours.

KarenPang 13th July 2019 07:56 AM

I'm sure some parts of Ongaku no Hi 2019 are pre-recorded

Kisumai are scheduled to perform at Ongaku no Hi 2019 from 4pm Japan time onwards but they're in Osaka this weekend in wrapping things up for the last 3 dates of Kis-My-Ft2 LIVE TOUR 2019 FREE HUGS! in Kyocera Dome Osaka

So no way Kisumai will be physically present at TBS studios so their performance most definitely is pre-recorded

Yay!
DO ME probably is a(n) (electronic) dance song, thinking about the PV shooting.
Might be we're getting 3 PVs for each one then?
(cause there are saxophones in Summer Time...)

Music Fair starts in about 10 minutes!
