ok i really dont like glitter. I mean, its catchy, but i think it sounds too much like her past two summer singles, Fairyland and Blue bird. Fated however, is excellent

Yeah, I don't really hear the waltz in it. For me, listening to forgiveness is like listening to YUI's Understand. They're both like background music to me.

glitter does sound very similar to BLUE BIRD (did anyone else download that one compare file?), but... not so similar to fairyland. o__o

I'm having fun listening to glitter, just dancing to it ^_^.
Though today I listened more to fated, don't know I can't stop singing the chorus to myself, I think this song is one of those special composition songs I can't get out of my head...

Yeah I can see why people would think 'forgiveness' is boring. I couldn't stand that song when I first became a fan. I love it now though.

'forgiveness' at least has a nice, full arrangement. 'JEWEL' sounded so much better with the strings added in those few lives. I find that song extremely boring to listen to (always skip LABYRINTH - taskinst: [momentum isn't boring, I just can't stand it]) Everyone loves it though. o_O

Ah, everyone has different opinions. I think 'fated' has a very memorable melody.

I think they both give off the same vibes, but they don't really sound similar to me. 'BLUE BIRD' has calmer verses and it flows into a more bouncy chorus, 'glitter' is vice versa.

Well forgiveness isn't the worst song...

Though the song that REALLY gets me bored is Two of us, I rarely listen to it and that's the only song of ayu that get me really bored... I thank ayu so much for not inserting it to A Song for xx album.

fated is okay... good for an encore song on one of her tours. Glitter is like falee baleee da da!! ta-dah!!! Reminds me of Beautiful Fighters ( I hate that song ). BF and Blue Bird sold purdy well though... compared to her prior singles. Falee balee bing bing.

I like the song, but I can see why people say it's boring. :|

It's relaxing and calm. But the climax was amazing and huge emotions just emitted from her voice on the final chorus.

I don't see which part is boring though....

anyway, im kinda jealous here...coz the argument about similar sounding stuff aint happening at Koda's girls/FREAKY side :P sheesh...whats the big deal with similar sounding songs anyway...as long as the tune is nice, which i think is a lot more impt....

It's "boring" as a whole.

Despite how grand and amazing it sounds, people probably didn't like that kind of grand. I mean just look at its sales. The CGI-weirdness of the PV didn't help [though it was prettypretty.]

I really like glitter, it's really great!! I don't know why you guys don't like it, well it's your opinion, so.. but for me that song is really great, different from fairyland and BLUE BIRD! it's my favorite summer song!

fated.... is good, it's not really memorable, but maybe i have to listen to it for another time. but I like it!

honestly, i have been waiting for a single like glitter/fated, the two songs are superb in my opinion, i wasn't amazed by blue bird, i wasn't amazed by fairyland, but i fell in luv with glitter. It's just so catchy and different.
and the vocals for both the songs were so well done. I'm really impressed with this single.

the cm did NOT do the song justice...i hope this year's album will be awesome, just like glitter and fated!!

i'm not as crazy over glitter though -- i'm just not a big fan of summer songs. but i will admit that it's a cute song if you're in the right mood!

Sales don't equate to quality, but only the general current tastes of the Japanese. Some really mediocre singles still sell over 100k and yet they are horribly bad and some terrific singles still sell like 20k. When you see artists like Kanon, struggling to chart you come to realise that the general audience is not interested in talent and good music only, but other "decorations".

I think forgiveness as a whole was a rather good single. One of my favourite ever.

I like glitter more than fated... I love the summer songs ^__^ but something is lacking in glitter though...
