Ami Suzuki cast in "Blood Brothers" musical

The official website of singer Ami Suzuki (27) has announced that she will appear in the musical "Blood Brothers," which starts in August. It has been about a year and a half since her performance in Avex's "Kokoro no Kakera." This will be just her second stint in a theatrical production.

First performed in 1983, the musical is about twin brothers Mickey and Eddie, who are separated at birth but eventually meet again and fall in love with the same woman, Linda. Suzuki will play the role of Linda. The twins have been double-casted, with Shinji Takeda and Masaaki Fujioka playing the role of Mickey, while Kohki Okada and Mario Tashiro are playing Eddie.

The musical will be performed at Tokyo's Theatre Creation in Hibiya from August 7 to September 27. Advance ticket sales start on July 4.

So who bought her last Single? I'm kind of in a musical drout ahora mismo as far as not having anything announced that I'm looking forward to buying so what better time than now to FINALLY get Reincarnation right? I think that's what I'm going to do. I still haven't heard "Piplup" or whatever that "B-Side" is called.

I got the CD only. The packaging is quite nice if you care about that stuff BUT it's kinda 2 pink for me. I do own DOLCE and Supreme Show's CD+DVD so I'm used to her pinkness now..:yes

the b-side Dub I Dub is better than Reincarnation I think. The extended mix on Reincarnation isn't as bad as I thought it would be too. Just to be safe I would preview the songs on youtube though!!

i think that the extended version of reincarnation is totally useless. i think every ppl here who can remix a song will do it easily. i rather have a dub-i-dub instrumental

Ah this is starting to remind me of all Shimatani, a year later after she started acting in musicals here music career almost totally stopped. Hopefully Ami will have a new single scheduled soon. She will almost certainly sing Delightful and at least another song, hopefully not Reincarnation.

why not? i think she definitely will sing it, its her newest song currently.

delightful, too bad ppl in japan only recognized her by that song only :(

and njanjyarp: she was in a musical drama before too, and she doesnt seems like pausing her own music career, so i guess, its okay for her to do so

Reincarnation is my least fave song Ami has released in years :( And I hope her acting career won't affect her music one.

Sorry, i'm kinda new to this... how many posts are needed before a new thread? Anyways, i'm really excited cause i got ONE on ebay! It was a bargain, it was Japan limited edition with obi and only $20 AUD. lol :) I can't wait for it to come! Anyone else bought any Ami stuff recently?
