I don't even know who would be the competition, but I guess there seems to be too much in August from what many people are saying. I dunno, I'm not really too eager for the next single because I'm still not over Rock 'n' Roll Circus or MOON/blossom so I don't mind waiting til September.

^ I agree with ya. It's a little too soon I think for a new single. When Ayu does this, I'm worried that the public will grow really annoyed with her because they see her everywhere.

Amazingly? I personally loved her 12 singles. second session is my favorite compilation album by her. I wouldn't mind a 12 singles thing again lol.

lol Well unlike Kuu, Ayu has a streak to maintain so they can't really take any chances. I think calling this a consecutive singles project was a pretty bad idea as that suggests that the single would be somewhat connected and released in a certain time frame.

That 12 singles thing was too much, even I would be annoyed with ayu if she did that.

It turned out well for her because she was around her peak then, ne? God that project annoyed the hell out of me... Don't chop up an album just so you can increase your single count Kumi lol.

I know, I really want her to take good care of herself. It seems she's really working on her voice as of now and taking good care of it which is good and makes me happy. I also get excited when she says she's going to sleep on twitter just so I know she's getting SOME rest :laugh

I actually wouldn't mind if Ayu did something like that... as long as it was over the course of a year and not like 2 months lol. Like " a year of Ayu" sort of thing. It'd demolish her record but I think it'd be cool. :laugh

Avex would never let Ayu do a large consecutive single project like that, lol. They care too much about her getting number 1 on the charts and she would break her streak. Which is why they are probably going to wait until September for the next single where there will be weak sellers and no competition.

^That has me thinking, I guess since Seiko's record is the closest to attaining it's the only one that's been discussed but do you think that it's actually the B'z record that Avex is aiming for? They have the most #1's overall, right?

I dunno, they will probably keep shooting for number 1's even after breaking Seiko's record. :shrug

Even if the title of most number 1 singles is just for bragging rights (as some fans have said they plan to use the streak as in the last few single thread :laugh) or whatever, I don't really care myself as long as I enjoy the music. It has been a long time since I enjoyed Ayu's music so much as I am now, so that's the most important part for me.

Now if only we could hook her up with a good art director/photographer to design her singles / albums!

Yeah, a year would be better, but still.. I'd rather a little slower pace than that lol. I want her to break the record already so we don't have to be so worried anymore about her being #1 or not.

The designs of her covers I fear will always be crappy. I don't think there's a single album/single that has had a decent font or a gradient that didn't look so cheap and blah. But I think her photos lately have been such an upgrade from her awkward Kazuyoshi Shimomura spam days. I'm really enjoying seeing her look like her beautiful self again.
