So at best, it will be Mao covering an Ayu song.

Honestly, she's been losing her fanbase for over ten years now. It dwindles more every year, but what she is great at is maintaining that bond with her core fanbase at least.

Unfortunately, she's just never had any years with an upswing; it's just been a downward trend for a long, long time now.

Only hope of changing that is to do a complete overhaul of her image, get a new team, and then do a huge promotional blitz afterwards. All things that I'm very doubtful will happen, but am still holding out hope.

At this point, a smaller, intimate "thank you" tour could be really great.

This current tour is trying to be large scale on a small scale budget. I think if she continues to do these smaller venues, An "unplugged" tour would be fantastic. Without any big over the top anything.

She rarely gives us top quality (I.e. Fleshed out, completed concepts) anymore. I don't think it's intentional but her themes have been all over the place. And her tours have been copy and paste and copy and copy.

Despite still going to every tour, I can't say I'm as excited as I used to be. Because empty promises or missed opportunities seem to be a very common thing for her now...

I wish she'd get back a team that believes in her, or pushes her. Because her own ideas don't seem to be pushing any boundaries anymore.

I believe she -can- give us greatness, but for one reason or another she's not.
And her *rumored* diva-ness and apparent bad attitude at her past two tv variety shows certainly didn't win her any favor. (Apparently she refused to do certain requests from the comedian guests and stalled filming and required them to rent out a pent house suite at a nearby hotel just to have for her standby time and stuff...)

So there's my semi-rant lol.

Tour-wise, At15 and At16 had fuller concepts than most of the tours she did during her whole career. But I would agree her latest album with a full concept was LOVE again.. But it's not like her albums from MY STORY to RnRC had much concept to them either.

I think that ayu will release a new best, like an A COMPLETE 2 and do the final part of this "just the beginning" tour. The concept of sacrifice ~ ressurection is really great, unfortunately i can't expect this from Ayu now :( Let's hope that she remember who she was and do something goog.

Ayu doing aerial stuff was also smth new and exciting, let's give her that.

It blew my mind when she performed Game and I got to see it firsthand. Then we got to meet after it and the rest is history haha.

^She also went with her sister to an Ayu concert this year, can't remember if it was the first or second chapter tho.

At least if she continues with this much concerts like she has done over the past 3 years.

I'm thinking maybe that's why an album announcement has been delayed. She's just going to focus on one thing at a time and enjoy herself more. It has starting in her other ear so she would have to change something, if she didn't want the problem to fully take her other ear. And she doesn't want to stop, so she would have to slow down and take her time :)

I wonder if they'll sneak something out like the A WINTER SELECTION or w/e but physically.

Hasn't she done that already? It was not a physical release, but aside from Winter Diary, all of her winter songs were included...

Yes, that was the point. WINTER BEST SELECTION or w/e it was was sort of just released without warning. A physical one would have PVs and so on.

Winter diary is awful. It is one of her worse releases. Have PV, but no physical DVD release. It is not in a regular album but in a "remix album".

The song is extremely underrated.

'Winter+Summer diary' is amazing. One of her best release. Thx God CDL 1516 performances do a justice for those songs.

It kills me that Together When has no physical release. It's one of Ayu's songs I love the most and I would love to have it in my collection.:(

Together When... is one of my absolute favorites. The cover is beautiful too; I agree it's a shame it never got a physical release.
