I have a feeling that since she is working on a new album, it may come out in Dec/Jan, so she is saving performances of Virgin Road, Sweet Seasons etc for all the end of the year music shows so that she can use those performances as album promotion as well.

Like JEWEL, a song that is used for Secret album promotion on TV, but in reality on the tour, it was only used on select encores...

Generally she does ballads on the end of the year, as she suits winter with ballads like JEWEL, so maybe Virgin Road could be an end-of-the-year song possibility. We hope so...

Jewel at the encore for almost the entire tour... It was cut off duing the 3 dates asian leg and during the final Japan leg were the DVD was recorded

I'm sorry to say, but Ayu's NOT going to be in this year's FNS Kayousai. That's the second year in a row she is not attending. Don't know why, but maybe it's because of scheduling conflicts? Same situation where her release of a single or album is a bit too far away from the FNS? Also considering the possible Countdown Live and maybe even the current business at LA that she might get a bit too tired?

I think it might be a preliminary list. If Ayu could get in under second batch (like back in 2008, when, I think, she was not listed for first but she would attend eventually), it might be possible. The first 25 are in; let's see if Ayu's going to have some action there - either by herself, the Avex management or both...

I think its really because of neither; though I don't know what the answer would be. I don't know why now for two years she hasn't appeared; CDLs, singles, albums etc were never a problem before and FNS is at just the right time to start major promotion for the album. It's disappointing - FNS is my favorite year end show. :(

I pretty much agree. Her schedule used to be even more busy yet she always performed and considering that she still performs on Kohaku Utagassen (despite of it being only a few hrs before the CDL) I'd say there is something else to it. Still with every year passing FNS has less and less artists I am interested in. The best show was in 2005 when they had an amazing set of artists. After that it's been going downhill for me.

I think she wont go because Tomoya Nagase will be there
