I actually like the covers! :) They're definitely not my favorites, but I do like them a lot (and I'm so glad they're not like the latest vivi shoot :P)

The covers are not what I expected at all for a ballad song...it fits a song like lady dynamite (the outfits are similar too) but for crossroad, I dunno...

I don't really like the sound of TM NETWORK's SEVEN DAYS WAR....hope Ayu's version will sound betterA

and people always say they wanted her covers to be designed by fans :innocent

well, the covers are slowly growing on me... but really, what's with her lips? plz stop doing that, ayu-chan -_- i wish she'd smile on her covers more often, or atleast have her mouth closed..
the double-outfit is pretty cool though!

eh? i think fans expect something ridiculously gaudy and bam! which is what i notice in fan covers (mmm i could pick a few here). this is simple and decently classy. what most fan covers arent lol.

I'm so happy she's doing a cover. I remember saying to myself and to my friend a while ago that she never does covers. she's only ever done two (in her official discography) which were teens and sotsugyo shashin. the first of which was never officially released on an ayu album, or even on a single (just the "acoustic version" was released), and the second being only ever seen on a compilation album.

Sigh at the covers. I was like

"covers? covers?!?!"
"omg...Omg....OMg....OMG!!!!"
*looks at them*
"Ugh...ew....boring"

well, I think that the least thing a graphic designer wants is that his works look fanmade, this covers just scream cheap and rushed to me...
The text is all messed up and it doesn't the covers to look cohesive at all. I'd rather have a very simple text than this ((I know this name is really taboo but: )Koda Kumi TABOO's covers for example, are similar to this in it's basic form, and the text is only there to inform of the single name, here they tried to give the text some personality but they failed hard)

Also... the theme is the farthest they could do to a song like crossroad, if you go to a book store to buy a crime novel and they give you carrots and potatoes in the cover... well, it would be strange.

That version is slowly growing on me... It'll be harder to like the rest lol. I don't have a serious problem with covers... It's just... They really look fanmade... Just because that shoot looks like taken from fashion magazine... Too simple, too boring.

now relistening to SEVEN DAYS WAR i think its still good but ayu should just use a somewhat different arrangement. although i think the usual emotional power in her voice may seriously help make it awesome compared to whoever sang the original. ^___^

edit: is boring a reason for a cover being bad? cuz i see other pics that "should be used" for the cover. or other simple covers. but apparently theyre fantastic lol. soooooo u just dont like the pics and etc. even the most simplistic cover can be amazing if u believe in that sorta thing. idk, its just one of those contradicting things that im amused by :)

I'm agreeing with you. the taboo cover is a perfect example of how good posing, outfits, and text can be a very good cover when all it is, is standing in front of a white background. when I saw these covers, this is the first thing I thought of. *gag* which also does prove that you can't win every time by standing in front of a white background. sometimes it works. :/

Eh, I guess I'm in the minority here? :laugh (no surprise I guess, it was the same for M/b CD+DVD cover XD) It's weird, I was just saying a few pages back yesterday "please no A COMPLETE divalicious fashion cover!" and that's exactly what we get (only a lot better looking imo) and I'm loving it. I dunno... maybe it's because I had such low expectations for crossroad's covers? :laugh
