More info about Fuku Arashi
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7023/6...74af4972_z.jpg It was previously announced that Arashi would be collaborating with Fuji TV for their Fuku Arashi campaign. Some programs were announced as part of this campaign (such as Kotatsu DE Arashi) but few-to-no details were given. Recently the Fuku Arashi campaign site launched giving more details about their various shows. Kotatsu DE Arashi will air on Jan 3 from 13:00-14:30. Celebrating 10 years of Arashi programming on Fuji TV, the show will have Arashi sitting under kotatsu looking at a chronology of events from their debut to present, choosing from Karuta containing keywords from past episodes, and talking about nostalgic videos from their past, among other things. The set will not only include the chronological table but nostalgic photos, costumes and items they used at past locations shoots. For Arashi fans it will be a 90 minutes full of laughter and tears. Their relaxed talk as they sit reversed under the kotatsu is not to be missed! Their other planned program, a late-night show to air from December 27-January 2 will only be 5 mins long (24:55-25:00) and will feature talk segments and secret clips from their upcoming shows (there will be no episode on December 31). Things to look forward to include them looking back at well-known scenes from VS Arashi and introducing the scaled-up versions of their current games which are planned for the VS Arashi Spring special; an introduction to Ohno's spring special drama 『Mou Yuukai Nante Shinai』and Matsumoto Jun's 『Lucky Seven』drama, as well as them dropping in on the set locations; and much much more! http://aramatheydidnt.livejournal.com/3157085.html |

Arashi tops Oricon yearly album ranking & music DVD ranking for 3 consecutive years
It was announced that Arashi dominated both Oricon yearly album ranking and Music DVD ranking for 2011. The No.1 selling album in 2011 is Arashi’s “Beautiful World” which was released in July and sold 908,000 total copies. This is the third consecutive year that Arashi has topped the Oricon yearly album chart (“All the BEST! 1999-2009” in 2009, “Boku no Miteiru Fukei” in 2010). In addition, they are the second artist who achieved 3 consecutive yearly #1 albums in 20 years after Matsutoya Yumi made the record during 1989 ~ 1991. For a male artist, Inoue Yosui previously made the record for toping Oricon’s yearly album chart for 2 consecutive years (in 1974 ~ 1975). However, this year, Arashi beat Inoue’s record with their 3 consecutive years #1s. Not only the album chart, but Arashi also topped the Music DVD chart for 3 consecutive years with their live DVD “ARASHI 10-11 TOUR ‘Scene’ ~Kimi to Boku no Miteiru Fukei~ STADIUM“, released back in January (“5×10 All the BEST! CLIPS 1999-2009” in 2009, “ARASHI Anniversary Tour 5×10” in 2010). Moreover, “ARASHI 10-11 TOUR ‘Scene’ ~Kimi to Boku no Miteiru Fukei~ STADIUM” sold 793,000 copies making it the best selling music DVD ever for Oricon’s DVD ranking history, which started in 1999. The No.2 best selling music DVD is also Arashi’s, their “ARASHI 10-11 TOUR ‘Scene’ ~Kimi to Boku no Miteiru Fukei~ DOME+” DVD (released in June) sold 673,000 copies. The sum of Arashi’s sales for music DVDs was 10,170,000,000 yen leading to a #1 ranking in the music DVD sales category as well. In total, the group topped 4 categories this year. http://www.tokyohive.com/2011/12/ara...ecutive-years/ |
