I'm not very active in the Namie fandom, but her marketing team deserves some thumbs up. I'm connected with Namie on facebook and they upload all the covers infos and pictures of Namies adventures - amazing! They even update in English. They really know how to work it and Namie looks smiley and like she's having fun.

J: Your career is not less then 20 years. What do you think about it? :)
N: Honestly, I didn't expect that I could continue my career for so many years.
I'm myself surprised about it :) Thanks to all my fans and everyone who's been around me all these years. I think this year the anniversarry will be great :)
J: Do you like anime?
N: Yes, of course. I really like to watch anime, especially One Piece. That's why I was really happy to record an opening theme for it :)
J: What's your attitude towards 'newbies'?
N: Of course, I don't know, for how long I'll be able to sing & dance. But I'd like to keep it like that as long as possible. And after, I think, I'd take training (consulting), helping the newbies.
J: Who inspired you all these years?
N: Of course Janet Jackson! I always admired her singing, manner of dancing on the scene. And of course I tried to learn the most from her
