But why wasn't it posted here? I didn't know about it until my friend let me know.

mellody 14th June 2011 12:43 PM

That news just popped up yesterday and I kinda forgot about this thread actually, so forgive me.

Anyway, if they release the album this fall, they have a chance to promote (probably) a new song in Animax Musix Fall. Plus, since Kajiura is working with Fate / Zero, I think Kalafina will do a theme song as well.

milky_way 14th June 2011 02:12 PM

Yay! Better start saving up some cash :D

adantatu2 15th June 2011 03:11 AM

yay! an album finally !!
i hope they can release another single

Yoake 19th June 2011 01:04 PM

Good news for the new album^^

Yoake 1st July 2011 04:37 PM

I know It's not a Kalafina's news but as there is none Yuki Kajiuara or fictionjunction thread I think the better place to post it is here.

The song is the title track of their upcoming single “stone cold“, which will be released on August 3rd. “stone cold” has also been claimed as the opening theme song for the anime “Sacred 7“.

When this thread reached 500 post, I will make a new thread which you can post about Yuki Kajiura related, because it's a unity, FJ can't be separated from Kajiura, as well as Kalafina, See-Saw, FJ Yuuka, and so on.

Anyway, stone cold is a hot mess, for real. Everyone looks fierce.

Ranma Matsuri 8th July 2011 05:06 AM

Ah, damn. Album already? D: But I have no monies. T.T Well, it's the music that's important so I'll get over it.

stone cold doesn't sound anything like I'd imagine it would from the title. XD It's pretty beast though and the girls look friggin hot, especially Wakana.

Kalafina rocks Club Nokia for Anime Expo 2011!

After holding a special Q&A panel for their fans earlier in the day, neo-classical pop unit Kalafina headed over to Club Nokia to put on an amazing performance!

Once the club had begun to fill up, the ladies walked onto the stage to a cacophony of cheers, applause, and fans calling out the members’ names. Each of the members wore beautiful, ornate black outfits with blue accents, giving them an elegant appearance as they stood beneath the bright lights.
-

Once on stage, the trio put on a powerful performance of the “Kuroshitsuji” (Black Butler) ending theme song, “Lacrimosa“, and inserted “Kagayaku Sora no Shijima ni wa” before stopping for a short MC break.

“I’m speak English!” Keiko said cutely to the crowd, smiling brightly as she read off a sheet of paper. “Coming to Los Angeles was my dream, so I’m very excited. Please enjoy our show tonight!”

Hikaru also chose to speak in English during the short speech she gave for the audience. “Hi, I’m Hikaru,” she said sweetly, earning an hearty cheer from the fans on the floor. “I’m very happy to see everyone tonight, and I hope we have fun together.”

Kalafina then dove into a strong performance of their songs “storia” and the “Kara no Kyokai” theme song “fairytale“, before moving onto “oblivious“, causing the audience to roar with applause every single time. During the performance, the fans began synchronized claps and glowstick-waving, putting smiles on the girls’ faces when they realized how excited their fans were to see them live in concert.
-

Afterwards, the trio paused for another energetic MC break. “I like drink, please!” said Wakana, making fans burst into laughter as Keiko ran to give her groupmate some water.

During this MC break, the girls talked about what they’d like to do while they were staying in the city of Los Angeles. “I want to go Hollywood and see the celebrity hand prints,” said Keiko to the crowd, to which Hikaru replied, “You wanna see Johnny Depp?” Once the audience had finished laughing, the girls continued their concert with their new song “Magia” – the ending theme song for the popular anime “Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica” – followed by “sprinter“, “Kyrie“, and “Ongaku“.
-
For the last song of the night, Kalafina slowed it down with the beautiful ballad, “I have a dream“, allowing each member’s voice to shine against the gorgeous backing track. After the song was over, the lights shut off and all three members stepped off stage. Fans immediately began a chant for an encore even before the trio had disappeared, and so – just a few minutes after the concert had “ended” – Kalafina returned to thunderous applause.

“Thank you so much, Anime Expo!” the group shouted to the crowd before performing their final song of the night, “Hikari no Senritsu” (opening theme to the anime, “Sora no Oto“). Fans kept the momentum going all the way to the end with an enthusiastic clap, which transformed into a thunderous round of applause when the song came to a close.

After thanking all their fans once again, Kalafina bowed, took a group picture with the audience, and then stepped off the Club Nokia stage for a final time.

Kalafina holds a Q&A session with their fans at Anime Expo 2011!
On July 1st, Kalafina held a special Q&A panel to interact directly with their fans at Anime Expo 2011!

The line extended down the hallway, as fans waited for their badges to be scanned and enter the large room where the panel was being held. Once inside, the room was packed with cosplayers, press, and fans, all eager to get a closeup look at the group.

When Kalafina finally entered, the entire room broke into thunderous applause. A passionate “Daisuki!” (I love you!) even rang out as soon as the cheers quieted down a little, putting smiles on all three of the members’ faces.

-

Although Kalafina have been to the United States before – their first visit at Anime Boston in 2009 – this year’s Anime Expo marks the first time that the trio has visited Los Angeles. When asked what things they’d like to do while visiting the bustling city, member Keiko cheerfully responded, “I’ve heard that the Santa Monica Beach is really pretty. I’d also like to go to Disneyland.”

A lot of attention was focused on Kalafina’s music style, a mix of pop and neo-classical, which was produced by the prolific songwriter, Kajiura Yuki. “Kalafina’s music is all made by our producer Kajiura Yuki. It has a really big impact on us, so that’s our inspiration,” they said when asked what influenced their music. “We’d like to be true to that image.”

The girls also shared a few behind-the-scenes stories from recording and shooting. One fan asked for their favorite song from “Kara no Kyokai” - a series of movies which each featured a Kalafina song as its theme – to which Keiko replied, “Every one of them is special to us. But when we were recording ‘ARIA‘, I was so nervous about it that I was shaking.” She smiled as she held out her hands to demonstrate, earning a few chuckles from the crowd.

When asked which PV they enjoyed shooting the most, Wakana replied, “(I liked) all of the shoots for our songs’ PVs, but my favorite is our debut song. We were dressed in all white, and it felt so pure. I feel like white’s my color, so the PV was very ‘me’.” Keiko also pitched in, “I really like ‘Magia‘. In the PV, we have a really strong, ‘hard’ woman image, a very different image for Kalafina. I think ‘hard’ is good!”, a comment which threw the audience into a long fit of laughter.

Another fan asked Kalafina if they had any goals as a group, to which Keiko jokingly replied that she had no goals (resulting in giggles all around). The other members of Kalafina specified that they’d like to travel around the world to perform lives for their other international fans, and would like to visit the different countries and continents.

-

Before leaving, the girls of Kalafina surprised fans with a special contest: by answering trivia questions about the group, a few lucky fans would win tickets to one of their two autograph sessions. Another “raffle” was held at the very end of the event to hand out more tickets, giving fans the chance to personally greet each member as they signed their item of choice.

“There were so many people who came here to see the three of us, so we’re really happy,” said Kalafina at the end of their panel. “Please, come see us at our first live in L.A., which is at Club Nokia! We hope to see you again there!”

The group didn’t get to leave just yet, however, as the MC announced a special message to the crowd. Since member Hikaru would be turning twenty-four the day after their panel, the audience produced a movingly loud round of “happy birthday” in celebration.

Thanks for posting this!

DAMN, life is so unfair. Why couldn't I have been there, everything sounded so perfect and the girls probably sounded super cute speaking English. T___T

I wonder if they filmed the concert. Hoping they did and they'll put the performances on the album DVD like they did for Seventh Heaven.

Ok, so here's the Pre-Order link.

Limited Edition - http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=SECL-1012
Regular Edition - http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=SECL-1014

I consider this album with a 'normal' price, so doesn't contains many bonus, I guess.

But the DVD is worth buying, symphonia PV, and footage of Anime Expo.

Chiharo 27th July 2011 11:49 AM

I'd preorder the limited ed. right away if I knew that the pamphlet or anything on the album isn't going to contain anime pictures (like Seventh Heaven did). What do you guys think? Is the package going to be like SH's with anime pics in it or not?
