As far as I've been able to tell from browsing YAJ and stuff, the first press editions of some of hitomi's albums are picture discs.

Also, there is no back cover art because the picture that would be there is on the disc instead and you're meant to see it through the clear case and copyright and track info is on the obi. Regular editions have a plain disc, back cover art, and (sometimes) an opaque case.

^the love life and thermo plastic have no back covers and are picture disks. so does that mean i got first press of those? i bought them quite long after their release.

It's not completely out of the ordinary to get a first press item, especially depending on where you get it.

I got a first press edition of Ayu's "(miss)understood" album from YesAsia earlier this year and also the first press, digipak version of JASMINE's "NO MORE" single from CD Japan even though both places said both releases were out of stock.

Though, I think you're more likely to get lucky with YA than with CDJ since YA uses different suppliers.

I'm not 100% sure if that's really the case, though, since there's nothing on the obi to indicate the differences, so don't quote me on it; all I'm completely sure of is that there are two editions for a lot of her albums.

So, I dunno, maybe Avex released the "regular press" because they're less expensive to produce than picture discs? :shrug

^It'd probably come to about same amount since the first press doesn't have a backing. however, i find the lack of a backing annoying cause if u wanna check what song etc, u have to open it up and go into the slip book thing inside. Actually, for both huma rhythm and love life, they have no backing but when u take the cover slip thing out it folds open where one side is the song's lyrics and the other side is a poster of the cover.

Still, I've also got some other CDs which don't list the tracks or songs on the back anyways, which is also annoying.

there's no pockets & etc included , it's just the binder & that's it >_< but at least DAIGO looks great in the cover & I have 2 boxes to store all the cards I have of him too so all's not lost I guess

Shimizu Shota - Journey CD+DVD

i dont know who DAIGO or Shimizu Shota are, but they all look real nice.

^you should try Shota Shimizu out. :yes he's an R&B/soul artist. he's soo talented.

and DAIGO is the frontman of the band BREAKERZ. i've only heard their FIGHTERZ album, but i loved it.

^i'll try Shimizu out. I heard Breakerz music on youtube(tried quite a few songs) and didn't care for it. Still thanks for letting me know.
