Having worked designing t-shirts, I can tell you that I would come up with designs that I thought were cool and amazing but they would be shown to the boss and he would tell me to change this this this and that and when they were shown to the client they would say this this this and that needed to be changed. So by the time it went to the printers the designs was a watered down bastardization of my original design. So if you have a problem with a design I don't really think it is so much the designer's fault as much as it is avex/ayu's fault for ordering and then approving "bad" artwork to be used. The designer is just doing whatever the client wants because rule #1 of the service industry is "the customer is always right."

I can agree with this totally. But designing and business..are two different things, in reality. I know people who have become tired of that system and have quit and become freelance. There's some rare success stories, but most fail and end up working an office job. It's sad.

That what I did, kinda. I worked designing t-shirts but I hated it so much because of the deadlines and the amount of new ideas I had to come up with every month and the constant revisions I had to keep doing to designs I thought looked great. So I just said the hell with it and instead of going to art school and getting my degree in graphic design I decided to go to community college and get my degree in business because I did not want to be stuck in that horrible system for the rest of my life.

Anyways, back on topic, I heard the leaked mixes today and I'm liking what I'm hearing so far. The only one I didn't really care for was the trance mix of poker face.

I agree. It looks like the kind of cheap layout you'd find on a bootleg. I just looked at the the 7 remix album I own and this is probably the ugliest tracklist layout. Either way, I'm totally excited now that I will be able to order it soon.
