I feel like the people who DON'T like LOVEppears weren't around, weren't ayu fans, when it was released. I because a fan right before Duty came out and I remember hearing the songs from LOVEppears, and I was like...damn, I've never heard anything like this before.

This is basically why I don't like what I'm hearing. I love me some bass.

I find that the bass is lacking too, but I think it will probably be more bassy in the actual CD rip.

I became a fan around the time of MY STORY/(miss)understood, and became a huge fan around Secret. I like LOVEppears more than all of those albums.

I'm pretty atypical though, I'm a new (relatively) Ayu fan but I far prefer her older works because I like the cold, melancholic sound. While some of her newer albums, like GUILTY, have been melancholic, they don't have that same coldness, sense of loss and constant questioning that her early albums have. GUILTY is my least favourite Ayu album!

I think a lot of it has to do with her upbeat songs now being upbeat through and through, but her older upbeat songs being pretty deceiving with their emotive tone.

...nothing to do with Party Queen at all lol

^^neither do 35% of the other posts in the album theads. LOL

That's what I'm hoping. Right now it sounds kinda like HONEY, and that's not a party song so... :laugh

I was like that with Memorial Address... (I became a fan right around than) and thats when i feel in love with Ayu... I am, Rainbow... they are just soooo different from LOVEppears for me...
although I do like most of the singles from it.

jang-kun 27th February 2012 01:12 AM

lol guys why are u forgetting I am...? it's her most legendary work imo. XDDD

GAAAHD AYU SURE ENJOYS TORTURING HER FANS IN AGONY OF WAITING BEFORE BLESSING THEM WITH AWESOME MUSIC

bluegie 27th February 2012 03:27 AM

To me LOVEppears and Duty are her signature albums. It defined what ayu was back in the old days. I started listen to her when appears/LOVEppears came out. Even tho I liked appears, but I didn't like the rest of the album because it was too techno to me. Then I slowly liked the album piece by piece. It is now one of ayu top 2 albums on my list. Nothing could be LOVEppears and Duty (music and lyric wise).

Live version makes it worse, because I don't like the stage, costumes, etc. :laugh

I'm pretty sure they were talking about the rip, haha. You don't see any of that if you're just listening to the audio after all!

Kazeyomi 27th February 2012 04:29 AM

Love the Party Queen preview :heart although it sound.. a bit weird. Her voice is distant and low compared to music. Maybe it's just audio medium quality fault.

Looking forward so badly for a HQ preview.

That is probably part of the song and will be in the studio version, haha.

Also... I think they may have used some sort of mansion in London for the Party Queen shoot which would explain why they were in a very grassy area.

I wonder if she's really going to be a 'queen'/royalty on the cover.

Here is the shot they took before they started the shoot. Maybe someone can ID roughly where they are?

tokyoxjapanxfan 27th February 2012 06:52 AM

Maybe it's the grounds of some castle.
