How can people want A BEST 3 and get upset about this? It would be the same thing with different songs... the people who have all of these songs will still have most, if not all, of the songs on A BEST 3. It would still be a pointless, money grabbing release. So please tell me, what the hell makes A SUMMER BEST so terrible and A BEST 3 such a wonderful idea? I just don't get it....

I think it is also because A BEST 3 seems a more genuine collection of songs. And it also relates to the first release and its complicated story.
I don't mind A BEST 3. I would have bought it. But this A BEST SUMMER just feels like a lame attempt to have a n°1 album this year, saving A BEST 3 for the next n°2 album. :rolleyes

Japan is the country of bests.
Really, people should be used to it as a fan of a japanese artist. :innocent

I just about died at these.

And about the "compilation album money grab" : the other ones were worth the money. Best 2 black/white had some PVs on DVD you couldn't normally get (to my knowledge) and A Complete had just about every song one needed to get into Ayu. A Best was just a hot mess and I like it because Ayu was all defiant and re-recorded some of the songs. A ballads has some of the best covers of ayu's entire career (IMO).

This thread should be closed...and some people should really open their own blogs and quit bugging the ones who come here for actual news >_> Really you guys there is no need to post everything that comes to your mind and is even remotely related to this...

I actually look forward the chart of A SUMMER BEST tho. I remember ayu said really want to have an album for summer.

This best has just as much unreleased material. One new song + video, one song you could only download before, one song you could only get as B-Side on a single and SEVERAL never before seen performances on the DVD. Not just hard to get or not released on DVD, but actually never shown at all.

The covers are alright. I prefer the CD+DVD one.
