A7 Classical is the best classical album of the recent years (better than LOVE Classics or A Classical), but it will never tops MY STORY Classical to me. This one is the best orchestral-rearrangement album of her.

jean-baptiste 7th June 2016 02:20 AM

Her orchestra and classical albums are always perfection. I absolutely love all of them.

I'm generally not either, and actually it was the very first time I truly noticed it. I was straining to hear her over the new music.

I think the music was very well made, it's just that when the layered in the vocals, they're lost in it (for my ears at least)

truehappiness 7th June 2016 05:05 AM

I thought the vocals were pretty horribly integrated as well but I suppose that's all on whoever has been mixing her stuff. Seems better for M(A)DE IN JAPAN though.

I turned on Sayonara for some reason just now, i always kept on thinking that something is missing there. I just realised what......Jaejoong & TVXQ lol But i guess Ayu doing a song with Juno was the closest she'll ever get to any of those guys lol

attractive nausea 7th June 2016 08:53 PM

^ Jeajoong was the guy starring in blossom PV though :P

BlackSilence 7th June 2016 09:06 PM

^i know, but i was talking more about her making a song together. It's like she's walking around the whole thing, avoiding it lol

truehappiness 8th June 2016 03:49 AM

I am sure she can ask but then their management will be like "Eh, no.".

DonkeyKongRemix 8th June 2016 06:17 AM

Does anyone around here actually like her cover of "Someday my prince will come?" Just wondering because I realized I don't know the whole background behind that.

Why'd she cover that song? Just for fun or for some other promotional...thing...?

truehappiness 8th June 2016 06:51 AM

Promo for Snow White rerelease or something.

What songs from ayu's discography do you always forget that are hers? I know the question is a bit weird. You don't have to dislike the song though. For me, I always forget she has identity and LOVE'n'HATE. Also Why.. . I listen often to identity but somehow still forget its there lol

I have a few:

-Winding Road even though it may actually be one of my favorite songs from My Story. I love it but I forget it exists quite frequently.
-Honey
-fated (another one I love to pieces but always forget about)
-Over
-Unite! for some reason, I get this melody in my head and I cannot for the life of me remember which song of hers it is.
-Some of her tracks from A Song for XX such as "Present" and "As if."
-and pretty much all of Rock 'n' Roll Circus by this point minus You Were... and Microphone.

Most of these are songs I've gone through phases of being crazy about but she just has sooo much music. OH YEAH! Since I never bought LOVE again and could never find the songs on Youtube, most of those tracks basically didn't exist as far as my memory went.

I'd still really like to buy that CD...

I actually think I forget songs by the album, if that makes sense. Instead of forgetting just songs, I'll pretty much omit albums of hers from my memory, namely Party Queen, LOVE again, and Rock 'n' Roll Circus.

Love the rough rock feel in Heartplace! So good~

truehappiness 8th June 2016 09:57 PM

Often it's stuff that came after you became a fan that is harder to believe "Oh, this is hers?"

Like Ayu has songs called Gloria among other pretty non-Ayuish titles, lol. But I get used to it pretty soon after listening to them again. Heck, I still feel like that about some songs on MY STORY. Kaleidoscope? HOPE or PAIN?

I do! I haven't listened to it in forever though. I think the version I have is just a rip from the DVD. There's not an "official" version is there?

I never realized that I actually liked it until last night. It's pretty neat sounding.

Does anyone else get warm fuzzy bittersweet vibes when untitled ~for her~'s intro is playing? Jesus those strings.

tokyoxjapanxfan 9th June 2016 02:17 AM

I always found Tao by Do As Infinity to have a -very- similar feel at one point of the song.

(At least I thnk it was Tao...may need to re-listen lol. I know it's a DAI song at least)

And since Someday my prince will come was released back when Ayu still used Dai, it's possible they made it.

Not exactly "fuzzy", but bittersweet. After watching that year's CDL performance the song makes me cry every time.

Also happens with Life. That song is so bittersweet, it needs more credit.

jean-baptiste 9th June 2016 06:57 PM

Life is amazing. And makes me nostalgic for 2008. I don't hear it often but when I do it's always a special experience.
