The Last Supper seens to be a very "in" concept in pop music right now considering it was used by Madonna on her last tour and kinda used by Beyoncé on her latest Grammy performance

The performance has the last supper for a theme. It was super exciting.

I know it is the biblical last supper theme but I just don't get how it connects to Ayu or her songs and tour. Just seems like she put a table on stage with dancers.

Pretty much like the cdl opening with kanariya, the performance is alluding to the end, probably of her career, with Ayu reuniting with her performers and her audience for a "last supper".

It's her last reunion before her death. Or that's how I understood it.

The opening of the tour is also very much like a funeral, with the dancers dressed in all black and laying roses down on the stage.

Dumb question, but when you take part in the lottery in order to get tickets, can you apply for more than one for the same show because you want to go together with friends?

but in fact she sounded great at the venue. maybe iy's with the audio system and all. tv broadcast can be quite "dry" and without bass.

That's not the first time Ayu have used Christian Religion as an inspiration (aesthetically of course). The whole wedding dress thing, the reference to "Maria" on M, the cross on kiss'o'kill... It's pretty much a pop aesthetic not the religion itself. And the Last Supper is more a reference to the painting than the actual meaning behind this (Jesus and the guys and etc).

yeah I thought the same. it was like they were throwing those roses one by one at her grave.

Preview of the tour live broadcast:

My name's WOMEN's pre-recorded track seems to be the one she used for CDL14-15. Sounded like that too.

CeReSu 22nd July 2017 07:40 PM

Her vocals sound horrible, I'm sorry.

Yeah. But remember that she's dealing with issues from her right ear. While being deaf in her left. She sounded horrible at the beginning of 2008 when she lost her hearing in her left ear. So, it's something she can't control right now and I think she actually sounds pretty good for what she is dealing with right now.

EndOfTheWorld 22nd July 2017 10:57 PM

I'm still hoping the vocals won't be as bad as they seem.:nervous
At least she sounded good at other times during the tour.

Party_King 22nd July 2017 11:28 PM

I think she sounds better than every concert we've seen since M(A)DE IN TOKYO...

Katsuyuki012 23rd July 2017 12:17 AM

Ummm... I don't like the extreme soft way she sings the Songs especially the Ballads...
