I died. HAHAHAHHA yet again. that MV was random but TOTALLY AWESOME! Im so glad they broke out of the Space/Street styling after last year. Now they've gone to more edgy yet casual fashion which is really appropriate for them too!

Bom in the hospital

2NE1’s Park Bom is currently in a hospital getting an IV drip after overworking.

With 2NE1’s most recent comeback, Park Bom has been part of a tight schedule. She started to feel not so great in terms of her health.

After their comeback stage on “Inkigayo,” they went straight to the Hallyu Wave Dream Concert and returned to Seoul in the middle of the night.

YG Entertainment said, “Park Bom has strained herself out and her body wasn’t in a good condition. She couldn’t stand up and had trouble. She is getting an IV drip from a hospital. She’s going to have to pass on today’s schedule. We will watch how she feels while she rests at the hospital.

This is just the beginning of their promotions, do you think she can handle it?

Inkigayo with 0.1% ratings for 2NE1's comeback stage (-.-)
Spoiler:
Quote:

Girl group 2NE1 recently had an 11-minute long comeback stage through the latest episode of SBS Inkigayo. Despite their great stage, the viewer ratings did not seem to be as great. Inkigayo‘s production crew was expecting a leap in the viewer ratings with the 11-minute comeback stage. However, it seemed like the viewers did not want to comply.

Something that has become the subject of talk amongst viewers and netizens is their thoughts that they spent a lot of time on one singer by giving them 11-minutes of screen time.

According to AGB Nielson Media Research, the viewer ratings for the episode of Inkigayo that aired on the 12th recorded at 7.2% (Korea-wide). The episode that aired on the 5th received 7.1% Korea-wide, showing a 0.1% increase.

On the recent episode, 2NE1 held their comeback stage by performing Clap Your Hands, Go Away, and Can’t Nobody.

Unlike regular comeback stages with 2 songs being performed, 2NE1 performed three in its entirety.

On this, netizens pointed out, “SBS is being biased.” However, fans commented, “There was not enough time for them to put on such a passionate performance.” Despite all these comments, this is hard for SBS to come back at, as they allowed 11 minutes for 2NE1 to perform their full songs, where other singers have to perform edited versions of their original songs, due to their length.

Can't Nobody MV's robots are CL's fater's creation!

Robot made by CL’s father stars in “Can’t Nobody” MV!

On the 12th, 2NE1’s music video for “Can’t Nobody” was released and near the middle of the video, leader CL’s solo scene is filmed before human-sized robots. These robots, as it turns out, were creations of CL’s father!

In a recent interview, CL revealed that “My father writes and makes robots in his free time” and sounding very proud of her father, she announced that “The robot that my father made will appear in the Music Video for “Can’t Nobody”!”

Her father is Lee Ki Jin, a professor of physics at SuhGang University and also a children’s story author with a few series of his own, such as “Headbutt Kkakka“. In the stories, there are characters that have been modeled after CL.

CL said that due to her father’s endless creations and his passion for them, his passion subsequently rubbed off on her. She thanked her father for his unfailing support when she became a singer.

CL laughed as she said, “When I was little, I didn’t have a TV in my house. Instead, I spent my weekends drawing with my father, listening to music, and going on walks. My mother also drew and participates in many creative activities, and I think I was greatly influenced by the two of them.”

2NE1 has come back onto the stage after a year with their first full album, “To Anyone”. They have been promoting their three songs, “Clap Your Hands”, “Can’t Nobody”, and “Go Away”.

2NE1 Assigns a Title Song to Each Music Show

2NE1 is embarking in a new unique type of activities.

On the 1st, 2NE1 released their first album "To Anyone". They are now scheduling to fix one title song to each of the music shows. This is risk is one of the new challenges that these girls are taking. For example, if "Can't Nobody" is chosen for KBS, "Go Away" and "Clap Your Hands" will be performed on MBC and SBS.

2NE1's company, YG stated, "From the beginning, we've planned to do activities without any regards to rankings. All three songs have a different feel to them. This plan was devised in order to have distinct and unique performances for each broadcast."

2NE1's representatives still have not confirmed the title songs with the broadcasting company. Starting on the 17th, with KBS 2TV Music Bank, after going through every single music show once, each broadcast will have a 'fixed' title song.

YG stated, "We have a rough outline but we still haven't confirmed it yet. We are fine-tuning our understanding about each of the music shows, and we will fully prepare in order to come up with great performances."

Up till the 13th, the 5th day since their comeback 2NE1's force is already as fierce as ever. They have created an unusual sight on all the online music charts, such as Melon, Cyworld, Dosirak, MNET, Bugs, etc. with the three of their title songs all fighting for first to third place. The concern surrounding the fact that it may be difficult to score first place on the online charts with three different songs is being extinguished. The situation for offline albums is the same. In only 5 days, 19 000 copies of their album has been sold. In addition, they have risen to 1st place on Hanteo Information System's weekly chart.

Meanwhile, on the 13th, due to overwork while preparing for the comeback, Park Bom collapsed and was admitted into the hospital. It seems like she will returning to regular schedules starting on the 14th.

More good news!!

Spoiler:
Girl group 2NE1 has sold 100,000 copies of their first full album in just 5 days.

On the 14th, YG Entertainment stated, “After confirming with Mnet Media, the distributors of 2NE1’s first full album, they stated today (14th) that we have sold over 100,000 copies. If this trend continues, we will have sold well over 150,000 copies by the end of the month.”

In regards to the Hanteo Charts reporting that 2NE1’s album has sold only 21000 copies as of the 12th, YG responded, “We have sold a lot of albums through our own online store ‘YG e-Shop‘. In regards to the difference in methods of counting sale aggregates, we did nothing more or less than to fully state our distributor’s total aggregate of album sales.”

While Hanteo charts collect 85% of their information from nationwide music sales and 15% from accumulations in their information database and national sale estimations, entertainment companies sum up their album sales from directly checking the number of shipments and calling up music stores.

As of the 14th at 3:20PM, all three of 2NE1’s title tracks are ranked in the top 3 on the popular music portal site, Melon.

Can't Nobody MV is amazing! :love
Their look and their style, just gorgeous!
And it's my favourite song on the album.

My song ranking:
1. Can't Nobody (both versions)
2. Follow Me
3. Clap your hands
4. You & I
5. I Don't Care (Reggea version)
6. Kiss
7. Please Don't Go
8. It hurts (slow)
9. Go Away
10. Love is Ouch
11. I'm Busy

I'm honest, I'm a bit dissapointed with the new songs of the album. I totally dislike two of the new songs and I also think there is too much autotune, so that I can't hear their beautiful voices sometimes. But I absolutely love Can't Nobody and Clap your hands, all new MVs and all of the "old" songs of the album, it's not that bad actually. :laugh
I hope the success continues, love the girls!

And my copy of the album is on the way to me, first press with collection card, booklet and poster, I'm so happy! :heart

hearted 14th September 2010 07:20 PM
