what Kobukuro said about their decision to cover Mikazuki

so I guess even they themselves have doubts on whether this project's able to pull though or not

Singer Charice covered ayaka's Mikazuki in English! It's called "Crescent Moon":

It's nice, but I prefer by far ayaka's version.
The emotion we can feel in Mikazuki was lost in this transition from Japanese to English IMO

Charice failed.

Was there a load of AutoTune or was that just me?

nobody can sing Mikazuki as great as Ayaka does.

I just hope Kobukuro will not butcher Mikazuki .

I have faith that they wouldn't because honestly when covering a Japanese song in English , the meaning & emotions you put into it kinda will be lost in transition :no

I think I would entrust any and every song of ayaka to Kobukuro~
My dream would be an entire album of ayaka x Kobukuro collabs...

ooh talking about that , that's a great idea . I mean I love their duets WINDING ROAD & Anata to , I don't see why this should not happen for a 3rd time :)

It's just like, we don't know when she's even coming back..
It could be another year, it could be several more. Chihiro Onitsuka was gone for four whole years, while YUI was gone for like 6 months.

I kinda wish that ayaka would have given like a rough time frame on when to expect her return to the scene as now things are hanging on mid air if you know what I mean

Well, YUI could return anytime she wanted to ... ayaka actually has a disease. I try not to think about it too much, but I do hope she'll get better soon!

I mean, even her official website was closed down..

Where did you get that "health is improving" information?

Hopefully if her health is enough for her to go back, maybe she could come back next year or so, though it may be in the middle of next year...

I really do hope she gets better cuz I miss her.

guys playasia just restocked (it said backorder for a long time) for ayakas history photobook limited edition japan version if anyone is interested I barely bought one but it says there is only one left

It's been practically a year since a new song was released... Minna sora no shita came out July 8, 2009 (my 18th birthday~). So it's been a year since she released new material, but her hiatus technically began after December (after Kouhaku?), after she finished promoting ayaka's History, so it's only been 7 months.
