^ i would hope not too, just because my limited r'n'rc boxset was crap. nothing stays in place inside that box and its just way too flimsy. :(

It's really weird coz the special limited box set is available at many stores...I recall Love songs, rock n roll circus and next level Limited Editions were sold out in less than a day.

Love songs limited edition, taken some time to be sold on CDJapan. I remember that because I got the chance to bought it for once lol. RnRC and NL ones not.

I would argue that next Level AND RnRC have great flows. Both are totally cohesive albums. As is Love Songs. All 3 have teh same sound yet different approaches (NL was electronic, RnRC rock and LS soft rock)

I'm in love with everything about "how beautiful you are".
Music, lyrics, cover, arrangement, ...

Need to share this with you all ♥

Then I will explain myself with the "flow" I was talking about. If I may. :)

I meant in what order they choose to put the tracks on. R'n'RC makes alot of sence. The interludes helpes the tracks flow into each other in a natural way. Like Last Links -> montage (created that mystical feeling making the transition to Don't look back really natural). Same for Don't look back -> Jump -> Lady Dynamite. Very well thought-out. Same with SLT (edgy, sassy, funny) -> Sunrise (funny, a bit calmer, more natural sounds) -> meaning of love. Very nice transition there as well.

But, NEXT LEVEL is a total mess. A hot mess. I really like NL with many of it's tracks. But I rarely listen to it from start to end because it annoys me like hell. Can't stand it really. Why then?

The transition from Bridge to the sky and NEXT LEVEL is very natural and flowy. Then all of the sudden (when you're in this happy calm state NL (song) brings out) Disco-munication screams out. "O.o !!!". Another example in that album is rollin' to GREEN. How I wish they had a nice interlude or something to make the transition better. THEN, the absolute WORST transition and flow in Ayu albums... like... ever is the transition from LOVE 'n' HATE -> Pieces of SEVEN -> Days. Pieces of SEVEN starts of kind of calm and balladish but then it goes off to this really heavy part, ends, and then we have Days. If they instead have started with that heavy rock part in the interlude instead and finnished with a ballad it would make all the sense in the world. But no. If they would have switched places between Pieces of SEVEN with Load of the SHUGYO the flow would have improved greatly. But yeah. Almost every transition in that album is really not well thought-out. At all.

Me too! At first I didn't like it because I thought of it to be a slow ballad *once again*, but the more I listen to it, the more I want :D. Her voice is really beautiful in the song.

And lol at the R'n'R discussion, still...

I agree 100%

The way they placed the tracks one after the other doesn't make sense, it goes from happy to hyper to rock to slow... How does that work? XD

NEXT LEVEL still remains one of my favorite albums, but that doesn't mean it flows well... I like the songs by themselves and the LOOK of the album...

I didn't care of RnRC at all as an album, but it does have a nice/better flow than NL.

^
I think sometimes people over think this crap! lol

MissElin_ 9th February 2012 02:22 PM

^^Yes thank you! That's what I tried to say. :) I really like NEXT LEVEL (album) and the songs inside it. It's a fresh and lovely album! But the flow, it's the worst of all of her albums. (Then I'm hugely in love with R'n'RC album but that's just because that's my personal taste. :) Yet, R'n'RC do have a better flow and are (imo) one of her most thought-out albums ever).

^Just like you overthink other crap things sometimes. At least this is valid things to overthink on.

HAHAHAH!!! I needed a laugh... valid... ha.

I just listened to party queen by youtube, and wondered if the opening will be as long in the album...
(which thinking about ayumi has rather long intros to her songs, lol)

Why wouldn't it be valid? Isn't that why we're on a forum? Discussing these things? Now I'm confused. Ah but go ahead and laugh, we all owe you one on that account.

I hope it will be the same !
I love when she makes long intros (Last angel♥).

isthisLOL? 9th February 2012 08:31 PM

The long intro for Party Queen makes it feel much more special to me. It's one of the reasons the song isn't just entirely a generic party song. The chiptune and disco influences are the other reason.
It's still a having fun, party song, but not really generic and I'm just really happy about that.
So I hope it stays in as well, and I think it will since it was much longer than necessary for the performance :)

miki_beland 9th February 2012 09:36 PM

toniayu 9th February 2012 09:58 PM

^usually,2-3 weeks before the release date~

TeamAyu2004 9th February 2012 10:49 PM

So not till march! I dont think i cant wait...

And I didn't release this before, but I Ayumi was wearing a pink wig during her party queen song... should of saw that coming for the album... :thud

Rurutia 10th February 2012 12:54 AM

Is it just me but the melody for the verse sounds terrible. The Rest of the song I Like a lot. Is it just the way she sings it live? I hope the verse sounds a lot better in the studio version. But then again didn't Tim compose this? I remember in Brillante the very beginning of the verse did not melodically sound good to me. Maybe it's his style or something.
