On November 13th, singer Koda Kumi celebrated her 30th birthday with a concert, ‘KODA KUMI premium Night ~Love & Songs~‘, at Nippon Budokan.

This marked Koda’s first Nippon Budokan live as well as her first birthday live since debuting in 2000. The fans celebrated her birthday by singing “Birthday Eve” and calling out, “Kuu-chan, happy birthday!” Koda responded in tears, “It’s the first time holding a live on my birthday… this is the best.”

During the live, Koda was presented with an 1.5 meter (4.9 ft) tall birthday cake with a diameter of 1 meter (3.3 ft). After blowing out the candles, she took a commemorative photo with her fans. “Being Koda Kumi for over 10 years, getting married, and having a baby. Is it okay to be so happy? I don’t think there are any artists who is loved this much. I’m a very fortunate person.”

Koda performed a total of 32 songs which included 30 songs chosen from 500,000 fans and a special medley. She also charmed the fans with 8 different outfits throughout the performance. Finally, Koda announced that she would be holding an arena tour (11 shows, 8 locations) starting in March of next year.

I actually love these outfits, even the encore one (those legs :lech) I think the only tour of hers that I totally disliked the outfits choice was TRICK 2009 (with the exception of the show girl medley one - flawless) plus the hair = big no.

I'm all in for a mini-album, would be so cool and good for a change. one more a-side for a total of 8 songs (5 new songs) with PV for all the tracks. 8D

she should release a mini-album / multiple A-side single in the spring / summer, so she can feature them at the JAPONESQUE tour!! and then drop a full-length album in the fall / winter, with another tour in the spring / summer!!! and then 3-5 singles in between... :) :) that would be perf!

Oh, yeah I was thinking about Ayu's dress and this one too. Man that was one perfect performance. And that one jaw-dropping dress.

Am I the only one who can't see slightest pit of Ayu in that silver dress? :D I actually remember a similar pinky dress from Black Cherry and Kingdom Tours. I really love the outfits, they're awesome as usual♥

And yey for JAPONESQUE TOUR. I bet it's gonna be the most epic thing of 2013 for sure haha♥ I can already imagine all that epicness overload that only Kuu can deliver to me. I'm always the most excited about her concerts. *___*

I personally want to wait a little bit longer for the next album. I'm still in the JAPONESQUE Mode this year and also because if they wait for a while longer, they would make a even more amazing album. And I definitely don't like the idea of a mini album in Kuu's discography for some reason. Somehow it just doesn't really sound very Kuuish thing to do so I prefer full albums with lots of songs. Of course, if she released a mini album I would still love it because I'm a stan. 8D

^ Me too, like she did with feel my mind. I think it should help her focusing on her next steps on her career. But then Kuu is know for chaning to any style without problems, so it's rather difficult to happen such a thing...

I think she's beautiful but the blonde hair brings her down. it really just does not work. she is much better with medium brown or dark brown. anyone else think this too?

Honestly, if X-Tina dropped down to Kuu's current size people would be calling her skinny. I guess Kuu is chubbier than her normal, but she certainly isn't "big" in anyway :/

Well, she gained 15 kilos when she was pregnant (which is still completely within the realm of reason, her body was hosting a parasite for nine months) but she said during the concert that she was only 3 kilos away from her pre-baby weight. And I mean yeah, she isn't chubby by any stretch of the imagination. She also asked the audience about their diets when she was stalling for time as the camera man was getting ready to take the 360 panoramic picture. She said she ate nothing but grass and the audience cracked up when she called herself an herbivore. :P

I think that both light and dark hair suits her, but not short haircuts :grumpy

I think long dark hair fits her the best. And with this I mean the hair she had in TABOO era and on No Regret cover. I'm always into darker hair because my own natural hair color is darker brown XD

honestly, her voice seems so much more polished and less hoarse from the last time I've heard..and maybe because of the ballad nature of the tracklist, she's singing a lot more rather than her (At times) just driving up the atmosphere in the upbeat tracks

btw: Koishikute means "I miss you" ?
