The only person who suffers because of this relationship is me :p I already lost Mitsu, now Maro.
When first rumors about their relationshiop came out I was worried that if anything goes wrong I'll lose one of my favourite dancers, now it occured they don't have to break up for him to disapappear from the stage. First Mitsu, then Gomi, now Maro. I like Subaru and Zin but they are the happy ones (same with Gomi), I'm fine with them, I like them, but Mitsu, Maro and Shuya were/are honey for my eyes, I just love watching them on stage, now it's only Shuya, not fair :( |

For them to break up is a possibility, what else do you want with all these people criticizing her? And if they break up now the same people who criticized her for being with him in the first place are gonna criticize her for them splitting up? Give me a bloody break.
People can be so childish at times, just because you're seeing everything from the outside and don't have feelings involved it doesn't give you the right to be a c*nt, because you know, when you like someone or when you fall in love you could become the biggest idiot on Earth. I couldn't care less if they broke up, or even if they stayed together, as long as he stays away from the spotlight for a while. I always liked him and I still do, but it's better that way for now. |

Yeah, I don't think anyone should worry about who Ayu dates.
We don't know her, and never will. Most people don't care about who strangers date. And she is a stranger, a high profile and 'well known' stranger sure, but still a person who deserves privacy... I mean, I could understand why fans would care for her definitely. But it's not like we are her family. We can't say, "This person is not good for you," or, "I didn't think they would last," as we know neither person. I think a lot of people have a problem with her lovers in her public image, but so many artists have used their partners in cover art, PVs, etc. She's not the only one and she will never be the last. It should just be taken as a pinch of salt and something that will be discussed in ten years time as a fun fact. xD |

Like I said, we can argue that all her songs are about love in one way or another, but these in particular strike me as rather painful, both for their optimism (in some) and others for how brutally honest and sad they are. I think "fated" illustrates this perfectly. It's ironic that the title and the first line makes you think about two lovers who are destined to be together, and yet it's all about how the speaker of the song is confused by illusions and reality. They don't want to let go of the dream that is love, and yet the song concludes that they will abandon the dream -- even if the person they love is right in front of them. I think that's probably the best way to sum up Ayu's continual struggle as an artist: the dream is right there in front of her. She doesn't want to let go of it, she doesn't want to give up on it, but there will always be the impulse to give in and admit defeat. And then it goes around back in a circle, where the dream comes back, she gives into it, and then suffers for it. /lame lol |
Didn't gossip magazines spread rumors of Ayu's and Nagase's break up once in a while since the day they started dating? I assume this is a possibility with Ayu and Maro because I've read many old threads here that were filled with those kind of things, too so there's probably something similar going on. I'd say that we shouldn't believe any gossip magazines until Ayu herself says she broke up with him. :)

:( EDIT: It was just the first magazine to print an article on the relationship that had been confirmed by Ayu and Maro's blog posts. Obviously this one has no concrete proof like a blog post, so it's probably not true...:D |
There are the same gossips who said a few month ago that Ayu and Nagase was together once again lol It could be true but Ayu didn't yet makes a statement so I don't pay much attention at this !

As long as Maro and his Ex are okay with dating other people then it shouldn't matter if they are technically married cause that crap takes forever to finalize. At least it does over here in the states. Is it this was in Japan? I don't really put any special feeling on marriage, it's just a ceremony and tax breaks. What matters are the feeling right? Maro was a passionate dancer though ;_; If it was a publicity stunt wouldn't that have kept Maro on cause then everyone would have come to the CDL to watch every small movement the two made together. Working closely with your staff can cause a lot of feeling to come into existence... I speak from experience. I'll bet it's even more of a tight knit group for Ayu because of the level of the production and traveling they all do together... Personally I don't care who she dates. It's her life and I don't think her love life solely affected the quality of the material. Some of the things she has written about could be based on her family and friends experiences during the time right? And I agree with whoever said Mannie needed some cleansers... but some girls/guys like the rugged look. I loved the PVs she did with him though. They had great chemistry! |
I can't speak from any point of knowledge about Japanese culture when it comes to marriage, so instead I'll speak from what I think in regards to Ayu as a public figure, and the kind of scrutiny people hold to public figures. We forget that they're people and that people are flawed. We want to be able to relate to them, but never when they mess up or do things we don't like. Ayu associating with a guy who's basically on the road to divorce could be interpreted as, if anything, hasty and a little bit thoughtless.
This is me speaking as devil's advocate. Since I think this whole line of reasoning is just flawed and weird lol |
