The other 2 cover songs for the Pepsi Next CM from Laruku (I love Rock n Roll) and KOBUKURO (Layla) were released as Chaku-Uta too some weeks ago, so it's not that much unexpected "Got To Be Real" found the way to a digital release!

BUT it says "Got To Be Real(CM ver.)", so that means... only the chorus like in the CM!?

The tour starts next week so i think she announce her 47th single this or next week!
So let's hope for a great 3 or 4 A-Side Summer Single!

I will be so pissed if she releases another cover, especially as a main track, and ESPECIALLY this song. :mad:mad:mad

i don't really care about it if i'm honest!
I lover almost all her cover songs (Cutie Honey, YUME With You, Can We Go Back, WON'T BE LONG, Imasugu Hoshii,...)and they sound often better than the original!
Kuu give them her own touch, so i don't see a problem!

^ Yup. :P I forget who originally did YUME with You, but Imasugu Hoshii is originally by Sugar Soul, and WON'T BE LONG is originally by Da Bubblegum Brothers.

I can tell you that Won't Be Love was originally by Da Bubblegum Brothers. I don't remember the original singer of Ima Sugu Hoshii off the top of my head, though.

if Got To Be Real is released has an official main a-side single, i wouldn't really mind. but i agree with Crystal, i want an original song. =\
but i doubt GTBR will be a single though.

There's a difference between "cover" and a different version of the song because the producer/songwriter gave it to different artists. This happens with lots of asians artists... CWGB isn't even a cover and neither is TINALS. lol

I realise there's a difference, but I didn't think that was the case with those two songs, since the originals were done so long ago. :\ Like, I'd say that real Emotion and 1000 no Kotoba are both Kuu's and Jade's; however, that doesn't seem to be so with Can We Go Back or This is not a love song..... Usually that sort of thing only happens whenever its the theme for something, like with the Final Fantasy songs.

Oh i did not know that she covered that many songs..

idk about TISNAL, but kumi said in one of her interviews that the demo for CWGB was presented to her by the original composer/producer/w.e. it never said anything about Kelly Clarkson. :yes

but i still get what you mean. i'd rather have COMPLETELY original songs, lol.
maybe she should compose more. idk all the songs that were composed by her, but I know Milk Tea was. and i adore that song! :love

i didn't realize she did so many covers. I think shake it is also a over. there's some idiot on youtube that posted a video about it "omg koda kumi stole from yadda yadda yadda". bla blah. but she should have a best album of just her covers lol.
