In the end I don't like the PV. If they just wanted to show the inner beauty and confidence of the girl the part with the makeover would have been enough. She didn't need to turn into a slim, heavily glammed up and outrageous flirty Ayu at the end (and the actual ending isn't any better...).

I get that you guys want to defend the PV by any means, but it doesn't change the fact that the inner beauty and confidence of the girl is portrayed by a slim and very sexy woman. So the PV basically says beauty = slim and sexy. Even if the girl turns into herself again at the end. Not to mention the guy shoves her away after she turns into herself again, so where is this "he sees her inner beauty thingy" gone?

I don't think at all that's the message Ayu was aiming for. But my problem is Ayu could have come up with the whole inner beauty message without any unintentional body shaming.

The girl doesn't change into a slim sexy girl, she changes into her idol. The same idol she is listening and watching thought the whole video.

I did mention a range, so while I think Jewel is pretty, it's ultimately functional. Same with Blue Bird. I don't think they really transcend their purpose as promotional videos.

OMG though Ayu is the epitome of perfection in the JEWEL PV though. Those scenes with her lying her head on that box. She is undeniably gorgeous.

Really disappointing PV. The message was stupid, the ending was stupid, the only good thing about the video is the song itself, which has grown on me.

i was watching T-ara's new MV, titled, "Do You Know Me + What About Me", and I saw Hyo Min's hair which is similar to Ayumi's Party Queen era~~ I think~~

the whole PV is just super gorgeous, not spectacular but really pretty to watch, i think if not the PV i wouldn't have even started liking the song, cuz it's a very generic ballad for me.

I personally feel like the scene where the protagonist "turns into Ayu" is symbolic in measuring the amount of confidence that she has in herself, which is equal to the amount of a celebrity. There was no actual change of physicality. From my reading of the video, I think that the only reason why James looks so confused is because the protagonist suddenly pushes him away, when they were enjoying an embrace.

I do think that Ayu made a hyperbolic point in selecting a woman who could be considered slightly overweight to portray the figure of the laywoman or everywoman, but the issues that are touched upon in the video definitely parallel to those that many may experience in society.
