I'm already starting to think this album isn't gonna sell too well. There has been absolutely no hype except for some mentions on her blog and the official site and the album is coming out in two weeks.

This is total wishful thinking on my part. But *maybe* this is her indy album (as she said) and Avex doesnt want to promote it, and she isnt too bothered in promoting it either. But then later in the year she will release a second album with Smile World, Thank you my baby, and the other new songs she was talking about (thats assuming the tracklisting posted is real) and actually do some promotion.

The last single showed that even with minimal promotion, a decent tie in, and a pv hitomi can still do decently on the charts.

That could happen. I mean we still don't know anything about this album and the tour is only like 5 dates which seems really short for a tour in support for an album. Most artists would put out more info on the album by now, so maybe its something different like a mini album or some kind of compilation.

I always thought her like Tina Turner cuz of the legs, but you know without all the ike and crazy costumes.

So I guess that tracklisting is real after all. The article says that Advanced Alternative Media (AAM) is going to be her new management firm/is going to handle the promotion for this album (idk I'm confused on what it said), MAXIMUM 10 is her new label and she worked with producers who has previously worked with Madonna and B. Spears for this album and that she wanted a new start to celebrate her 17 years in music.

speaking about "cheap", LOVE LIFE 2 might be even cheaper for you then. I think this is quite fine, she just did a cosplay for being a nurse. When you look at Namie wearing an air stewardess holding a whip, you dont think she's cheap too, do you? But I totally understand why people think this is cheap though, blame the porn in Japan.

EDIT: okay someone bought the album (I thought its going to be released tomorrow?) and some said it sounds really good, even like yasutaka nakata-ish sounded, it's very different from what hitomi did in the past, but some commented "what the hell are that?" and that sounds like not a good thing. But the collaboration songs has a positive review, even the hater said thats the only song that can be listened from the whole album. So... I still keep my finger crossed in this album, not really expecting too much, but hopefully it's a good album!

The album is out now in Japan. Its not on iTunes though. . . althought there is a 20 minute hitomi megamix that came out today on iTunes <3

the megamix looks interesting though.

I agree. Avex are horrible at promoting their artists. which is so weird, because they are such a large record company. I guess they make all of their profits on their artists tours/a-nation and they just figure the albums will sell themselfs if people really want to buy them?

Like 2 weeks ago I went to avexs website and I stubbled upon their "new" business model. It said since sales of music (both digital and phyiscal) are falling, they are going to focus on making profits through artist's tours and the merchandise they sell there. There was also all this talk about restructuring and moving people to place where their strengths will benefit the most which could explain the sudden label change. I mean besides Ayu its seems like they don't really even try to promote their artists.

not many pics either, the elephant one on the poster, hitomi with a computer monitor as a head, and a baby in a bunch of white wrapped presents, that's it.

hmm finished listening to the songs, and I have to say I'm not sure about her music style in this album, it sounds REALLY good in hands up!! (my favorite track in this album :heart) love me love body and rollin' with da homies and some other song, but other than that, she just sounds like singing songs that been rejected by Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, Private flower is a good example, I can see the Britney vibes.

But overall, the whole thing sounds very fresh to me, a very good try for hitomi as well.

EDIT: euww, typos in the promotion sheets sounds so cheap :rolleyes and how can you not liking the last song? :laugh I found its soo cute and interesting

This was really different than I thought it was gonna be but I'll say that I like it better than Love Life 2.

i had crazy high expectations. This album met them in every way, although it was NOTHING like I thought it would be.

Its like someone took the clueless soundtrack, added in hitomi's signature sound, remixed it for the club with production values from 2020. Then the Virgin Mary herself baptised the album.

Its really too early to compare it to her other albums. But at this point I would say only thermo plastic, LOVE LIFE, huma-rhythm, and LOVE CONCENT are better. I love every track on this cd.

I think it has a very LL2 sound and actually reminds me of ETERNAL☆SUNSHINE.

I'll start


1. Hands up!!: This song is pretty catchy. However I don't really think that much of it and not for any specific reason. I guess it just doesn't seems like anything special to me. Her english is pretty good, its comprehensible and that says a lot.
2. Time Machine: Really cheerful. Reminds me of her classic music style but still kind of brings something new to the table. The only thing I don't like is how this song is so short.
3. Private Flower: It's simple, I don't like this song. It sounds like a knock off a Ami Suzuki song. I also find it kind of boring.
4. Heaven & Paradise ~ 2010 ~ make money: I don't really have anything to say about this song. I like it and thats about it.
5. Lights on☆: Pretty funk and different from her usual material but it works. One of my favorites. I reminds me a lot of that song "What Is Love" from that movie A Night at the Roxbury LOL.
6. Spirit☆: My favorite from the whole album. It's like a feel good song and gives off those "Happy days let's have fun" vibe.
7: Sweet & Honey: Sounds like a Perfume song. I like Perfume but my problem with song is that it doesn't really seem to go anywhere, it just stays on the same level for the entire song.
8. Love me♥ Love body☆: I've loved this song since I first heard it. It fits the album and yet at the same time it kinda doesn't. I think its because its really rocky and classic hitomi style unlike most of the other songs on the album.
9. Freedom☆: Not a bad song, but I think the autotune is a bit much.
10. Supernova: Not anything special. Honestly I forgot it was on the album.
11. Song for you☆: It's a nice song. But I think it would be better had it been on LL2.
12. Rollin' wit da Homies: You can barely even hear hitomi during the song; its more like Rollin' wit da Homies ft. hitomi. Also it sounds like one of those awful songs by one of those horrible Alternative Rock band. Total thumbs down.

The album was really good. It's a shame it won't get the promotion and publicity it deserves. Also I think it would have been better had Smile world been included.

hands up!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song, I knew it since I listen to the first few seconds. Im not sure if the vocoder make hitomi sounds like she's pronouncing the english phrases so well or what, but she sounds like she speak them fluently! I really like the atmosphere in this song, I bet this will be the first song in her upcoming concert and she maybe have some hand movement to teach the audience to do it with her when she sing this song.

Time Machine This song is good, but just good. I think hands up was too amazing that making this song doesnt sound so memorable to me. And yah this song is so short, but I dont really care about this song :P the chorus sounds interesting though

Private Flower omg I feel this is one of the songs that rejected by Kylie or Britney :laugh and the producer let hitomi sing this song. I like this song, but I dont love it, it's not what hitomi did in the past, it's refreshing, sounds cool too, and sounds 100% western music style


2010 I LOVE this song. It's so summery, the song gives me so much positive energy, I got a great feeling listening to this song. It reminds me of eternal sunshine from LL2. A great song for party as well.

Lights on Is this the first dark themed upbeat song that hitomi has sang ever? this is so new to her, I love how the song sounds in this song, it's very western too, i hope I have a better earphone so that I can feel the bass, it should be even sound better

Spirit This is a continuous of 2010 I guess, I love it how they give me positive energy when listening to them, just like LOVE2000 as well. I think this is one of the reason why I like hitomi. She just make every song sound so positive, so supportive.

Sweet and honey This sounds like take me take me by perfume, I like TMTM, but not this one. I just skip it.

LMLB Love it since I listened it to the preview. Hands down to this song.

Freedom This is not bad, but not a fan of the melody of the song. She sounds pretty good with those vocoder, but not memorable enough

Supernova I dont like how the verse sounds, but the chorus sounds pretty cool. Along with 2010 and spirit, these are the songs that are so summery, so good to be played in summer activity or even beach.

Song for you It's nice to hear there's finally a slower song in this album, and this song sounds so perfect with hitomi's vocal, and with the decoration of the strings, just make the song sounds so perfect, really love it

rollin with da homies I'm surprise how people hate this song. I know you barely hear hitomi in the song, and she kinda messed up all the lyrics, but at least the weezer guy's voice is so cute and sexy, and the melody is so light and fun, I LOVE how this song end the whole album, it even sounds like an encore song.

overall, this is a very good album by hitomi. Very refreshing, a very nice try for hitomi to explore more music league, and this album proves that she did it very well. Well done hitomi.

I'm very disappointed by how poorly this album did, it charted for 1 week and has only sold 1055 copies. Do guys think she might be at risk for being dropped? She's already kinda been demoted from her own sub label to the indie label.

I think the fact that she's leaving avex for this album was the reason that the album sold poorly. Her last single sold pretty good compared to the other, wasnt it?

I missed the concert :( and it doesnt seems like available for us to watch the recorded video. Too bad
