Aside her winter ballads and summerpop songs the first performances of her songs never get bigger reactions from the audience I think, like Microphone, I don't remember seeing some great audience reaction.

Maybe they're too busy trying to listen all "wow this is cool and new i don't want 2 scream and act like a rabid dog bc i might miss what she is singing" and they really like it?

I think this album is amazing and I really want it to be successful. :(

they were just so dead lol. they weren't quiet last year with evolution! and they cried during You were... last year too. this year no emotion no nothing. oh well.

You Were... = winter ballad that got quite a bit exposure before that performance already
evolution = just about her biggest hit

Love Song = for most people new or only known in part + just not a typical audience reaction song

lol ik ik, it's just I expected some sort of positive reaction is all.

japanese audience are like the opposite of korean audience on those music shows..korea has all the loud fanchants that goes with the song, but in japan its just utter silence and clapping when the song ends LOL

maybe ayu fans should start making fanchants :lech

It's not that the audience doesn't like it, but rather, they don't know it. And plus, it's not like everyone there is there for Ayu. :P

I believe Ayu is trying to put the link for mobile phones up, haha. She did it with the do it again video as well. I don't think she knows that mobile links are different from normal computer links :P

I asked her if she or Avex or whoever would
consider putting her performances on her youtube channel. No response but soon after she tried to post that link. I'll try asking again later because that would be so convenient for us overseas fans lol.

Performance was a bit rough in the beginning but it was really good. I hope her vocals stay like this for a long while. :heart

Overall a very solid performance, and it was evident that she's putting in lotsa effort to improve her vocals :heart

I really didnt like that Best Artist performance very much. :( That mainly stems from the fact though that I think the song itself is kind of meh and I am not a fan of the way she chose to sing it in both the performance and the recording of the song itself. But in addition to that, I thought that the combination of the outfit, hair, and makeup just made her look quite weird actually. I can appreciate though that she was definitely going all out with the performance and took a chance performing a new song.

Same sentiments with regards to your last point. Her recent makeup made her looked so weird and overly mature.

You know when people are amazed with something, they can't help but stare at it without doing anything :)

And audience's reactions are definitely secondary. What matters more is that imo this live performance was much better than you were's and microphone's.

I quite like the performance! It's NOT the (exactly) last year's MISHAP when she messed up singing "evolution"! Remember that?

Her hair is back to where she had in 2006!

But, uh, exactly, why am I hearing some negative reactions with the outfit and the makeup? She's 32, after all, but at least she did not make mistakes like what she did exactly one year ago...

Haha..I wonder. You know, I went to watch NEWS,ARASHI and AKB48's performances...and ok...I can totally see the difference between the music of them and Ayu. If japan is going through a music evolution again at this point, along with swarming k-POP groups, ayu's music is just not gonna fit in that market, cept her summer pop and pop ballads (which may even feel too slow for today's hyper pop generation).

Of course, they may just be stunned at her charisma and I dunno how Love song sounds but I know its not Just a pop song and certainly not one you can wave lightsticks to. The reason why I turned up the volume at the end after watching a muted video was to see how they reacted at the end. Not bad.

About her makeup, that's just to bring intensity. its not like she does this all the time..and costume?? Come on, japan is famous and cosplay and visual ..this costume is just a more rock-ish outfit.

I just realized she recycled the outfit of the performance of evolution in L's cover shoot.

They were very happy for ayu when she was talking/going to perform. I think that they were trying to listen to the new song/lyrics :yes that's why they were so quiet XD

It looks a bit similar, but I think Akira Noda made a completely new dress for it. Not sure why they went with what they did for L's cover though.

And her 'YEEEEEEEEE' were much powerful than the studio version ones lol. I loved her outifit and hair, they looked so awful by the TA pic lol.

I think she should perform crossroad at Kohaku. It was probably her biggest hit this year and she has proven she can nail it live.
It would be nice to see her do a ballad again too.

I would like to see an epic ballad at Kohaku this year. I think Virgin Road would be a good choice and she can perform it in a gargantiun wedding dress or something. :) Crossroads would be my second choice.

Don't over-exaggerate it ^^ She sang M back in 2008 during Asia tour and she was just fine. It's a faster paced song, she'll do just alright. If she could nail For My Dear... the way she did during NL tour M won't be a prob.

With the way her voice has been, I'd say it's probably gonna be great. There have been no slip ups this year vocally for Ayu. Probably her best vocal year since 2005 or 2006.

Is it just me but her schedule is really...slow. Usually she has tons of magazines scans rather than just two and more performances to promote the album rather than a few end of year performances.

She might have performances leading into January along with magazines since her magazines all seem to bleed into 2011. Just wait and we'll see how things end up.
