Like what STROBE said, I want songs like Dance in the Dark, So Happy I Could Die and Teeth (all blew me away) and Telephone, Paparazzi and Bad Romance (commercially awesome).

If "You" and "I" are conjoined in the subject position and then they are assigned a nominative case by the tense of the sentence and thus it has to be "You & I" not "You & Me." Haha, I like Hair, especially around the 3:30 mark. However, I agree with the similarities with The Edge of Glory.

I've listened to The Edge of Glory a lot, and I still don't like it, and Hair is just... boring.

I still love BTW and Judas though, but I just hope this isn't an album where I only like the album singles.

It's not that EOG or Hair are particularly bad, it's just that with more than a year of anticipation, I was expecting... more.

to be honest, im not some uber fan of GAGA..but there's something I can appreciate from her recent songs. Just see the acoustic live of The Edge Of Glory...as plain as the melody it can be, likened to old pop, it was really beautiful..

i mean, thats just my point of view. I was expecting weirder stuff...and she could sing RA RA RA RA and POH POH POH POH to make hits...but i like how the recent pieces give me such a feel-good feeling

This album is not bad but is not outstanding at all. BTW the song itself is quite medicore...its only hyped by us gays because of its lyrics. Judas is just a provocative songs but it sounds like a german schlager in the beat. hair sounds sweat but boring and the edge of glory is probably the worts I herad so far from her.

I say The Fame Monster is the best so far....all 8 tracks were on spot and the artwork and production were top-notch.

don't get me wrong. BTW will be great...but it is overhyped because of her name.
i kinda wish she would pull an Andy Warhol tough and just trhow out her Music. Not every song has to be decade-hit...but having more music (she said she is so creative and her record label just holds everything back) would let more insight in her grow as an artist rather than her beeing a greta msuician and pop artist. for me she is rather the former than the latter.

It's a matter of music taste. Some people are not so hard to please when it comes to the Gaga music, no offence. :)

What's with her new found obsession for saxophones? First TEOG and now Hair.

It's definitely a better song than TEOG, but I'm not really impressed. Both of the songs come across as really lame to me. I want more hot GaGa, cuz Judas is all we've seen of that so far, and that's a quarter of the songs we've heard full studio versions of. My expectations for BTW keep lowering with each new song I hear (with the exception of Judas).

I thought Gaga said none of the album tracks would sound like Born This Way, but BTW, Edge of Glory and Hair all sound the same to me...

Anyway, the only song I really like is Judas, Edge of Glory being a close second (for sentimental reasons). Born this Way is still meh and Hair is a disaster.

It's really interesting reading everyone's opinions of the songs. So far I've only heard 'Born This Way' 'Judas' and 'The Edge of Glory' and I love them all!! Especially 'Judas' I have not been able to stop listening to that song since the day it came out, it's so addicting! And I love the video for 'Judas.' I find it to be a lot better than the video for 'Born This Way'

I am so ready for the new album, at least there is less than a week until the release, I'm going to get it as soon as the stores open. I have a feeling that I am truely going to enjoy this album.

wow, all the tracks that have leaked/been released (BTW, Judas, TEOG, & Hair) sound NOTHING like the rest of the album. i probably say they are the weakest of the album (well, i'm not a fan of "Bad Kids", lol).

it definitely has a sound of its own. nothing like The Fame or The Fame Monster. heck, it doesn't even sound anything like what's out in current pop music. dark, but at the same time playful. i love it!

I haven't heard all of the songs yet but the ones I've heard don't sound like single material. What does everyone think her next single will be?

Okay, so I really like Marry The Night and I think it's a great opener for the album! I still am not super fond of Born This Way, but I love Judas and I'm really please with the way the studio version of Government Hooker turned out too! I think Americano is sick and was not expecting Italian lyrics in this album! Hair reminds me oddly of this reggae song I heard once called "I am Not my Hair" which is ironic considering it's saying the opposite. :P

I really love Scheiße too-- love, love the way the German part turned out. Bloody Mary is quite creepy... not sure how I feel about it. I think Bad Kids is kind of awkward... sounds a little bit like a cheerful Ayu song. I can see this one being a big part of her next concert. Highway Unicorn sounds like Born This Way x Dance In The Dark.

Heavy Metal Lover doesn't really leave too much of an impression.. Sounds like an updated version of a song from The Fame. I quite like the chorus though. I think Electric Chapel is gonna be a grower. I got the same feeling I got the first time I heard Judas when I listened to it. The studio version of You and I isn't as powerful as the version she's been performing live. Wish her voice was more powerful. I still love this song though. And finally, the Edge of Glory. I really like this song also and think it's a great ending song!

Overall, I like the album. I liked The Fame Monster a lot, but I didn't really like The Fame-- so this is her first full length album I'm feeling all the way through pretty much. For me, this solidifies her position at the top with Katy Perry. I think it's hard to deny she's going to disappear anytime soon either with this album!

was concerned when hair sounded like edge of glory, and perez said that those singles were representative of the album... i don't think they represent the album at all! like most have noted, i feel like those songs, while good, pale to compare to the rest of the album, with it's strong electronic beats. love love love is all i have left to say, and that i will definitely pick up my copy on mondayyyyy

Wow, I don't think I could disagree with you any more, ESPECIALLY in regards to Government Hooker, Judas, and Hair. Born This Way and Marry The Night are fine with me though, despite me not liking the latter on first listen.

I believe that many people who didn't like the album is because they aren't in tune with what she's putting out there this time, and stuck with the Poker Face era look in their brains. I'm sure you will change your mind about it as time goes on.


I love the album, it is much richer than her other 2 albums, it is overwhelming, easy to listen to and dance to, omg... I'm really buying on this.

I could even do away with the melodies of certain songs like Government Hooker (i have no idea whats the melody LOL) but the music is truly cool and fresh.

Americano is hauntingly addictive in a good way. Scheiße is a brilliant surprise!!!! I honestly didnt really care for the song but it actually has a good melody along with that current sound and beat :P Bloody Mary is darkkkkkk and beautiful.

Bad Kids feels so 80s/90s lol! I love the verses though. there's this punky attitude if not for the melody. Highroad Unicorn sounds GREAT!!! (to me) :P there's this kinda messed and complex thing going on...I don't know, Im actually intrigued by it.

Heavy Metal Lover is kinda...in this twilight zone. What I mean is like I feel like Im in another place..the same feeling Christina's Birds Of Prey gave me. Electric Chapel (i love the title somehow)..and this is kinda like Heavy Metal Lover...brings me to another trance state.

You & I...i was wondering how this song would turn out...It's still amazing :) She's got the swag in a ballad heh..Love the bass beat too.

I guess I don't like it partly because The Fame Monster was just perfection.
Personally though I don't think the sound of the album is far from the sound of Fame Monster and The Fame.

I'll give it the time to grow on me but I don't think I'll be buying a copy, I'll probably be buying it from iTunes though.

I'm in way more love with this album than Ithought I would be. I agree that the promos thus far are the worst on the album, but that doesn't mean I don't like them (ex I love Judas and Edge of Glory)

I love how that there's this great mix of dark gritty shock pop and optimistic 80's throwback, and it all goes together. Marry the Night and Edge of Glory are two of my fave songs and that's not even normally the style I like from her.

The cover is still one of the worse I've ever seen though XD

After listening to the album I can finally understand why she chose this cover. The whole album sounds like it could have been released years ago but not in a bad way...

Marry the Night is boring T-T. I got used to the song now, but still don't like it. BTW is very week too. I have the impression this song don't fit the album very well.
I hoped a lot of Goverment Hooker but is so ZZZzzzzZZZZzzzZZ. Serious what a boring song. When Judas came out I didn't like but it's perfect on album. Lift up the album energy instantly.

Overall it's a good album I like the fact she worked with metal instruments. The best tracks are: Americano, Judas, You and I and Electric Chapel. The worst tracks are: Marry the Night, Heavy Mental Lover, Goverment Hooker.

I thought the same thing. I don't know German myself, but my brother speaks it so I hear it enough to know it sounds nothing like what she was saying. Not sure exactly why she gave it a French accent. I'm surprised her of all people didn't try to perfect it, but oh well. I imagine she sounds to Germans how J-Pop singers speaking Engrish sound to Americans like me.

I listened really closely now for a second time and I think she didn't sing any German, just Scheiße and Fräulein, two words. Sounds more like a mixture of languages, Dutch, French...or even just a fantasy one.
Would fit cause the first lines are: I don't speak German, but I can if you like
