With how sporadic her releases are, I would have never expected another new song this soon, especially since her latest single hasn't even been released yet! The single is solid. There's a variety and a little for everyone: a catchy, r'n'b track, an upbeat/pop track and a ballad. We'll see if it will be a success :)

The more I listen to NAKED the more I love it omg! I don't know what it is but for some reason when I listened to FIGHT TOGETHER while listening to the single I didn't like it as much as I did before, but I'm sure it'll grow on me. & of course Tempest is just beautiful :heart.

I wasn't going to get the Japan press of the single, but the 'NAKED' packaging is just so pretty that I caved and ordered the CD+DVD from CDJapan (they were sold out of the CD only, and I just don't know if I can trust YA to have the first press when its not stated in the item's description...).

Oh and the 500 yen bag is probably only made of paper. It's supposed to be like a bag that you get when you go shopping at stores, a la Abercrombie, etc. The only difference is that you have to pay for it... haha. It's a "shopper" bag that fits all the good in it, as opposed to the bags like Ayu and Kuu which, while they fit all the goods, are made of completely different material.

but anyway, Namie's never been a single seller =_=

Considering the success of "Checkmate!" and the solidity of this single with diverse sounding songs and tie-ins to a makeup company, a j-drama (I think it's a j-drama, correct me if I'm wrong,), and an anime, I initially thought this single would have had higher sales as well. But if CDJapan is any indication of how well this single is selling, I'm not surprised that the number is a little low. They haven't even sold out of the first press editions of the CD+DVD edition of the single. The only reasonable explanation (from my perspective) that I can come up with is that maybe a lot of people didn't buy it because they think by it being a triple a-side, all the songs may be on the album. So they'd rather wait until the album comes out rather than buy this particular single. Either way, in comparison to the other artists on today's daily ranking on Oricon, these numbers seem to be quite normal (with the exception of SKE48 of course). Hopefully sales will increase throughout the week though and she can at least make it to the number two spot for the week (I would normally say number one but let's be honest, she's not going to outsell SKE48, no one will, lol).

I was hoping for better but I'll be happy as long as the single ranks somewhere in at least the top 5 for the week.

i was expecting higher sales, this single is good, maybe is not better than 60s 70s 80s, but it has tie-ins and good songs

For the first day, those are pretty good sales, considering a lot of my favorite artists who have been around for a while have single sales that sometimes barely hit 10k. :)
