I agree, she looks stunning with (long) dark hair. I hope that she's going to pull it off soon.

On the topic of hair, I do like her GUILTY era hair. In terms of colour, I like that brown colour from You were.../BALLAD cover.

I'm really hoping POM will be out on DVD/BD by Christmas, but I guess that's wishful thinking lol

SURREAL__RAINBOW 28th October 2011 01:03 AM

I was also a big fan of the GUILTY era's hair, just stunning :D

I hope the DVD is out together with a new single or something :P Since Tim is working on new music and stuff ^^

adantatu2 28th October 2011 06:44 AM

Dark and long hair is so hot !!!
I love Startin' PV only for that hair !!

No.. that's not true. Look at for Example Jane Seymore... sie is over 50 and has long hair. There are a lot of older singers and actors, who are having long hair.
And.. for me.. I also wear long hair.. and I'm older than Ayu. I cutted it shorter last year.. but came back to long again.
So.. no.. that's not true. It depents on the women, if she like it or not.

mi|kshake 28th October 2011 07:43 PM

Hair wise - honey is my favourite as it's her signature look. But I really liked the redder colour she had in Is This Love?

Omg, hearing red being mentioned I would almost rather have her trying something like that.

Ayu, you look stunning in blonde, but please move on. Why not pale pink or some gradient hair? Go a bit crazy for once! :laugh

Ayu's version of crazy is butching the whole thing and bleaching it blonde. t2m + FIVE era = :no

yuniko 29th October 2011 12:32 PM

I don't get why everybody hates Ayu's current hairstyle. XD Personally I really like it. ^__^ I think it suits her age. Though she looks great with long hair too of course. And dark hair would definitely be awesome as well. \o/

I think her makeup changed and all that because the guy who was her hair-make person (Keizo Kuroda) left and was replaced. If you see other artists who have an "Ayu look" to them, they probably are using her old staff members. It's happened a few times, lol.

Hope thats true.. I really want ayu with black or dark brown hair... :love

I think the Yw/B hair was gray. I really like that look too. ^^

njanjayrp 29th October 2011 07:12 PM

I loved her STEP you/is this LOVE? and (miss)understood hair the best, right after the 10th Anniversary one which was worthy of a true diva <3

RayJason 29th October 2011 07:27 PM

The 1st post contains so much info! Thanks for that, gonna read it now. ~

I really wanted her to sing Rule, since she hasn't sung it for a while.

I really liked that color too, but I keep wondering why she bothered to dye her hair that color when she changed it so soon after. I mean, if she was going to re-color her hair why not just wear a wig?

Unless maybe she thought she would like it but ended up hating it in the end? Lol

I'm also a fan of the dark brown from (m)u era !!!

ComatoseBunnySnatcher 3rd November 2011 01:13 AM

I have seen the full concert on YouTube and it is an amazing concert :luv2

I really like the songs beeing performed with an orchestra

for me Ayus voice sounds very good in this concert

I can't wait to get this on Bluray :yes

axmish87 16th November 2011 02:11 PM

Vocally she didn't impress me at all,and WE ALL know
she can do really better.
It seemed like she is struggling too much with some songs
she was obviously off key for the most part of the concert
forgiveness was absolutely ruined, but progress was really good <3
and i also liked new versions of the trilogy, pure awesomeness !!!
She really was shouting a lot more in Power of Music
than ever in any of her previous concerts
She rocked vocally at 7 days FINAL RnR Circus tour.
I was blown away and couldn't believe my ears :))

She can't do better, this was her best vocally post-hearing loss.
What the **** are you talking about? xD I know my vocal theory and practice enough to see that Ayumi had major improvements towards Power of Music :innocent
Have you watched the low quality video rip or listened to the better audio rips? The video rip often made her SEEM off when she wasn't because of the low audio quality. Cause vocally progress was the worst song of the concert and forgiveness one of the best. progress was shouted and off, forgiveness had her hitting most of the Eb5s in the chorus, the damn hard chorus.
And the reason you prefered RnRC may be that this is completely unaltered while RnRC was only released on edited DVD/Bluray, her vocals were worse in that tour, but editing made them sound great. While Power of Music did not yet get editing. When this gets out on DVD and Bluray - after they get to work on her vocals - it will probably feature her best vocals.

Yukitora 16th November 2011 03:07 PM

I think you're forgetting the difference between technical quality and aural pleasure. The opening of forgiveness gives me a negative reaction. I don't care what notes she hit or her breathing technique or whatever, her English singing voice in A Capella is horrible.

progress on the other hand has some emotion, which may involve more screaming than refined vocals, yet sound powerful.

As for the RnR Circus tour i read the posts(on AHS forum)
from people who attended the last dates and they said
she sounded really good :yes
(songs like Microphone,countdown,Memorial Address,Virgin Road...)
I have mixed feelings for Power of Music
but let me name the few song that really liked
the trilogy(music mainly)
M
walking proud
part of me
progress
days
A Song is born(although she was sobbing a bit in and made me cry as well :)
and BRILLANTE (and she was shouting even more here but i liked it
Looking forward to DVD release :luv2

The difference between technical quality and aural pleasure is that hitting notes properly and breathing aren't relative... You either get it right or wrong...

Liking someone's english voice or the overall feeling of it it totally relative... u disliked it, doesn't mean it's bad.

This. And from the technical aspects forgiveness was some of the best Ayumi has done in a long, long time and that is all we can rate without putting an "I think" before it.
While M and progress(while I loved both performances!) had some of her worst vocal technique in the main concert, especially in the quieter parts of the songs.

If axmish87 was talking about subjective aspects like you(and it appears that was it) then that's ok, but the first post said she could "vocally do better" and was stated as objective without referring to those aspects at all. It made it appear like Ayumi was off more than in most of her tours(not true) and shouting more(she was shouting in parts but many people confuse belting, which she only recently started to do, with shouting even though it's the correct way of singing).

BTW: fan reports generally said this tour was better than RnRC tour, and even considering that it's very hard to judge vocals correctly when you're watching a concert of one of your favorite singers live, it's loud, there's excitement, there's bias...so judging depending on that won't get us anywhere really.
