Well it used to be this long live show filled with special performances (like girlgroups and boybands switching songs) and joint stages (like different artists covering an American hit song or a classic trot song) in addition to performances of the biggest hits of the year. But idk what happened in this year's KBS Gayo, it was just like intro --> ****** remix of a song --> dance break --> back to the song for every artist with a couple of tributes sandwiched in between :shrug Last year's KBS Gayo was by far the best though.

The switching-songs thing was really fun :laugh SNSD and f(x) covered Sorry Sorry while Super Junior and SHINee covered Gee. Now I have an excuse to post these here :lech

Yuri is one of my favorites as well. So I've been watching some of dangerous boys and I can totally see why some people may not like Seohyun. I don't like Taeyeon and after watching some of the show dangerous boys I really don't like Taeyeon that much... >.<

At 8:17 I really dislike what Taeyeon says. How could she say something like that especially being a celebrity herself. I'm pretty sure she had a big dream of being a singer and she became one. I thought that was really rude for her to say something like that. I know being president is way out there but damn she could have something else besides that and could have been a bit nicer about it. I hope the girls will have a nice break in January and then comeback with a Japanese single for the end of Feb and a Korean mini album in April, maybe the second Japanese album in July because there's no way SM will miss out on doing another Japanese tour this summer after last year's grossed them $20M.

Err k.. I actually agree with her, there's like a 1% chance your dreams will come true. Even if you do, it's better to be realistic than just hope for something which will obviously never come true and feel decieved by everything all your life. I actually think she sounded really humble when she said that, not taking into consideration that she herself achieved her dreams and remained down to earth. I don't think she meant it the way you made it sound like though, more like a "down to earth" type of joke you wouldn't expect from someone who is in the show business like her.

But when I come to think about it, I actually think maybe becoming part of SNSD wasn't her true goal at first?! Who knows..

Well it's not because she became a 'hallyu star' that she necessarily achieved her own big dream though. She worked very hard to be part of this world for many year, this guy didn't do anything so far, she had every right to be a little bit judgemental and realistic about his remark IMO.. There's nothing magic behind it, most of those people worked their ass off to be where they are.. SNSD's girls trained for years in order and finally got some success all around the world.

But anyways, I guess that I'm a very realistic person and I tend to think like Tae did, not because I was disillusioned by dreams, but because I achieved mine with a lot of efforts. ;)

Exactly if he set his mind to it he could have to possibility to train for years too. I just don't think she should have said it like that considering she's a star herself and that's a big dream. The show is actually making me like Sooyoung and Sunny. I'm shallow and never liked them because I don't think they're pretty, but their personalities are great. It's reinforcing my dislike of Taeyeon though.

I agree with you. You know, I really tried to like Taeyeon, and started to make excuses for her before but after really getting into SNSD and reading all sorts of comments she has made and ways she has acted in variety shows I've just come to terms that she is a really bratty, rude, inconsiderate, ignorant person. She just seems to get more and more bitter and cold over the years.

hmm i've not yet started to watch dangerous boys, but from what i know taeyeon has been known for her naughty personality since WGM days. LOLS.

There is a live rip from The Christmas Special I posted here some pages back and if you're lucky they had the studio versions for each solo stage somewhere, I happen to saw Taeng and Fany's Lady Marmalade studio version :D

But the MR was played a bit too loud on some parts, and there's this thing about SM's concert editing method that covered the real concert audio with the recorded version on some parts.

I don't really get why some of you guys really don't like Taeyeon, cause for me she's very okay. Well, people have different opinions *shrugs*

Just to make things clear (because on some previous pages I see someone said that Taeyeon wants to become a hallyu star), according to her mentor, The One, Taeyeon's dream was not to become a famous idol, moreover a hallyu star. The One said that out of all his students (including some famous Korean singers/idols we know) Taeyeon was the only one who said that her dream was to become a singer with the best capability, unlike his other students that said they wanted to become celebrities, or famous artists. That explains why she used to be so uncomfortable with all the attention she got, but now she has opened up to her fans more, though I'm sure the Angel Price incident (where she's dragged from the stage by some unknown man in the middle of RDR performance) made herself scared and more cautious of strangers :/

imo Taeyeon's doing pretty okay on Dangerous Boys. Sunny's my favorite there. Seohyun gets on my nerve most of the time though lol

I don't think anyone is 100% sure yet what's going on with "The Boys" yet. :/

The MR.TAXI version that was just released seems more like an alternate version (Type A, Type B, etc.) than a proper repackage. Repackages generally feature a completely new song that is used to promote the album further on music shows and this new version doesn't have one, so some of us are expecting a real repackage sometime in the new year (not the US edition that was mentioned by Pow!). If you want to play it safe, I'd advise you to wait it out for a bit longer.

I don't know if I would call it "more complete" since it completely replaces two songs with remixes; remixes that sound different from the original versions and don't really fit in with the rest of the album. :P

The original version of their Japanese album has a better song flow, while the repackage includes two new songs but doesn't really feel coherent. In this case, I think they're different enough that it'd be okay to own both, but if you just want one, I'd go for the repackage since you're planning on getting only the repackages for their Korean albums.

Keep in mind, though, that any future Japanese repackage albums will probably follow the same set-up (a few new songs and remixes replacing original versions), so you won't really be getting a complete album experience buying just one version. :P

well i mean we got the new song, the boys japanese version, the old songs plus remixes also the PVs, where we can't find it on the 1st version of the album. so that's pretty complete for me.

I was also tempted to pick up their Japan singles, but I think that's going a bit overboard for the time being. Anyone's opinions on if the singles are worth it? (Shame most of the overseas versions of the singles are out of print already)

Also, how good is their concert Blu-Ray? Worth it?

^ The singles are...just like that lol. CD(+DVD)(+very thin booklet)(+poster). If you want to buy the singles I suggest to buy the Korean version since they're A LOT cheaper (sigh T^T) and posters were included too, but Idk if they're still in stock or not.

I bought the Japan First Tour dvd 1st Press Edition because the bluray is too expensive for me. But I watched the bluray in my friend's house and, seriously, watching the girls on a big LCD screen is a very different experience T^T
What I like about it is that the video angles were taken quite nicely, and it showed many of the girls' dorky moments xD
But the biggest flaw of the Japan First Tour dvd/bluray is that it doesn't contain any solo stages at all. And there are two (or three?) short videos that weren't included too because they were played between the solo stages :(
So is it worth it? For me, it's worth it. But I don't know for other people lol since you can even download it anyway x__x

I'm guessing that they're going to include the solo stages in the GGTOUR dvd (the Korean version of the concert). I think they didn't include the solo stages in the Japan First Tour one because the GGTOUR is still going (still got Hong Kong and Bangkok) and SM doesn't want to (officially) show the solo stages to the public yet :/

Or maybe they couldn't get the rights for them in Japan?
Pretty sad, I really wanted to see them. I hope they put them on the Korean DVD. It didn't seem to be a problem for the ITNW DVD.

^Both CD+DVD editions of the repackage album come in a hardcover slipcase so I wouldn't be surprised if the CD Only version is the only one that gets an OS press.

Special packaging always seems to be an issue for OS press. :/

Actually some OS presses have special packaging. I guess it depends if the company wants to spend money on it or not xD

Plus, an overseas version doesn't have to have special packaging, it could just be in a standard CD&DVD case. I've added the Japan version of the repackage to an open order I have on yesAsia. If the overseas press is announced before it ships, Ill swap it out. I don't want to risk missing out on it as I've heard the remixes on the repackage and think they're awesome. :)

If they wanted to put the limited editions in regular 2CD cases they'd either have to completely reformat all the artwork or create a new page (maybe an insert?) for the regular CD Only booklet with credits for the DVD.

I'm more inclined to think, though, that if there are any OS presses of the limited editions, they are going to be as similar to the JP versions as they can be or there won't be any at all. There's just too much effort involved to make different packaging for a different market. The only people I've seen make that sort of effort are bootleggers:
