I appreciate that she has this deep concept, but honestly, I don't really care about it. As long as we have great performances.

I am not going to judge the setlist yet since there is a chance that ayu will change it a little bit. The only thing I don't like so far is the cat maid costume one! Ayu's hairband and hair style doesn't match with the outfit!

Setlist is okay, is every PQ song on there? Eh, aside from the new songs none of them are anything I'm excited about (and I didn't like PQ much anyway). Stuff she's done before. And Ew at Happening Here, I know it's the theme, but it's still a gross song.

Nice to see appears there, I guess it's theme of "the lovers appear happy" is appropriate. Only song I really love on the setlist.

Costumes are a mixed bag, some look really nice (MAID), while some are awful (the pink bob wig).

Ugh, this is such a disappointment, especially after I only JUST watched the R'n'R Tour on my 55" TV in high-def and I was blown away. Now I see this setlist - only song I'm looking forward to is reminds me. I just don't get why they left it "HOTEL Love songs" - how misleading.

The title is very misleading. Really needed some more Love songs tracks that we never got to hear live. Although I love Love song (one of my favourites off that album) so that will be great to hear live.

Would have preferred call to letter as well. Hopefully she switches her encore around.

Far from a disappointment. These tours are to promote her latest material, not have a balanced setlist spanning more of her career like her CDL's. Even then, we've got a few oldies here to enjoy. appears!!

But the crossroad for R'n'RC was never recorded, only a mini acapella was recorded for the DVD. I know it was performed on a-nation, but the stage setting won't be the same as an arena tour. She can't just forget a flawless song like "Like a doll". And tbh I only like 5 songs from the album, not even half the album. She should keep the HOTEL Love songs theme and add a few songs from Party Queen. I know she wanted to spread her news about her divorce and new album, but why can't she make the first half of HOTEL Love songs delicate to Love songs and second half Party Queen, then finally she should do another seven day special or some special live which includes both Love songs & Party Queen songs, then she can record it as the DVD.

I'm sorry, but LOL; can we just calm down a little bit here? Just because you may not like the look of the setlist or the costumes, etc., and are feeling really underwhelmed with the look of things, or apprehensive, or un-anticipatory, or whatever, doesn't mean you can start declaring the tour a disappointment. Good grief, the first show was last night, and we haven't seen or heard any of it!

If there's anything I've learned from following Ayu, it's that I need to swallow any preemptive disappointment at previews and snippets, and wait until I can see everything as she wants it presented.

Most of those outfit pretend to be epic, grand, etc. but at then end, they just appears to be a complete mess. RR dress is ridiculous (ugly pink wig + little-child-princess-crown = FAIL). Most of that mess is the hair's fault : those wigs are pretty useless I think (especially when it makes her head 3x wider -_-).

The only good outfit is the one for Happening Here. Unfortunately, it has been used just for one only [*******y] song.

Disappointing as a whole, hope she will bring drastic changes.

I remember the huuuuuuuuge drama in 2009 for the rollin' and Sparkle wig, I'm sure some people back then cut themselves looking at the pictures, seeing their fandom ruined and over, the World ended several times after that wig.

I'm pretty sure she messed up during "appears" tonight. During the last chorus, I think she sang the wrong one, cause she suddenly stopped (and I could tell something was off) and then the background singers kept going.

Also we have a new background singer? It's not the middle-aged one from CDL and last night. It's a younger lady. Forgot the name.

I was a bit surprised with the lack of 14th anniversary celebration stuff. Like, I've seen on past documentaries when staff would pass out the lyrics to the chorus of "poker face"... no one did that today. There was no announcement to sing "poker face". like, Ayu came out, said good job to the dancers for the "DANCE CORNER!!", and then the chorus of "poker face" began. I think people were a bit shocked, and no one really sang 'til the end. They did a bunch of group photos, though.

I think Ayu shed a few tears during the end of "reminds me" and the beginning of "Tell me why". She looked like she was trying to keep the tears in, anyway.

Also, I think there was a bit of a dress malfunction during "Return Road". Last night, at the end of the song, Ayu and Shu-Ya switched places - Ayu back to the main stage to look at the dancers, and Shu-Ya would uncover his face and stare at Ayu. Tonight, Ayu was holding the back of her dress, but after the song was over, she was sent down at the center stage. (I also remember the colors the top of the dress would switch to - light blue, dark blue, dark purple, pink, dark blue again, black, white, red... I think that was it, in order as well.)

Other than that, the crowd was more energetic tonight. Still a bit quiet, but not as much as last night. They responded a bit better to the jazz section. Ayu was a bit more energetic and feeling it tonight as well. She really belted out "reminds me" tonight, which she didn't quite do last night. She sang a few songs better tonight than she did last night, and a few songs worse tonight than she did last night. But, I never expect Ayu to be "A+ perfect" and nonetheless, she did an amazing job.

lol And the concert tonight was a bit longer than last night's, but only because the MC was a few minutes longer. Still surprised at a lack of MC, but we'll see how future songs go.

The setlist looks amazing. I can't wait for the Dvd... the release will no doubt be next year.... :'(

They weren't like "OMG AYUUUUUUUUUUU"...well, a lot were, but I think a lot went yesterday, so they knew what to expect and how to react today. They were actually waving their glowsticks/fans around a bit during the jazz section instead of just standing around or sitting down like last night, aha.

I wonder how the Yokohama shows will go. A lot of people go to Saitama, Yokohama, and Yoyogi during the tours, so I can't wait to hear reports of the audience from the Yokohama shows (and hopefully the Yoyogi shows, if she adds dates to those!!).

Yes, I find it a bit unusual she's had potentially one messup on each show... but really, last night she started to sing when she wasn't supposed to during "Boys&Girls" and I'm not 100% sure on the messup during tonight's "appears" but I'm pretty sure she did mess up.

That's not most songs - just one song. Per show. And last night's was an adorable mess up where she and the audience were laughing.

She has used wigs from her earlier years to this day: concert tour 2000, dome tour, in PVs (TO BE f.exmpl). She has used extensions & fake hair (during endless sorrow dome, f.exampl) etc. :shrug

^^ Don't read what people are speculating - a lot of people here seemingly don't like the show based on the setlist and pictures, from what I gather. It's a really good show. Shake It, Eyes Smoke Magic, and the next LOVE actually grew on me after tonight's show!! Most people I've talked to about the show have liked it - only a couple have been "meh" about it. Like I said, it's a really good show, and I haven't seen anybody flat out hate it yet (who have seen it, anyway).

Me and some other fans are used to see "innovations" in Ayu's concerts. Every tour she brings something new, specially regarding the stage. In other words, each tour has a personality that makes anyone remember the tour easily.
In AT08 she had the big ship on the stage during Mirrorcle World. AT09 was famous by the lights effects during the whole concert, specially in Rollin' and Sparkle. AT09 also was different because of those stairs in the middle of the stage, and also the "games" they played in MC sections, haha.
AT10, imo was really epic. The setlist, outfits and the stage built the personality of that tour. And Ayu semmed very happy and energetic.
AT11 - well, there's no need to say - the stage in the center of the stadium and the orchestra was really something different and new. I enjoyed that tour very much!

But I'm not feeling anything new in AT12. For the time being, I didn't see an innovation, different stage or a special effect to consolidate a "personality" of this tour. Maybe when I see the DVD next year my opinion will be different. I think she should have done something new in the stage, like two catwalks or maybe stairs to access the audience, just like a-nation '09.

They're great stages, but they seem small for all the dancers and the band, haha.

I'm not being "demanding", but like I said before, many fans were expecting a surprise in this tour, just like she's been doing over the past few years. Could it be lack of Ayu's time?

The 'personality' of this tour is in the story and screens it seems. This tour has the most she's ever had.

Wow, this setlist is perfect! Of course I'd change Letter for call, but I'm happy either way because PQ is a gorgeous album and she's doing almost all of it. And there's appears, Ladies Night... This is so good! Don't really like the costumes, but at the end the setlist is what matters the most to me.

I hope they'll put them on the future DVD, because they didn't put any on the RnRC Tour DVD :(

Ayumi is re-using the same basic stage since At05 (the exception being At11)... And thats how it works when u have a new tour every year, if we consider most acts and bands the same size as her would have two or three tours on the spam of time she had 8. Even if she is one of the richest women on asian pop business, stages aren't cheap.

Still, I would disagree about having something that stand out from most of her tours, as the CDL stage was pretty different from her past ones considering both scenary and the band position, also, this tour seens to be her most theatric yet, relying heavily on storytelling, more like a broadway show than a pop concert. At05, At06, At07 and At08 also had some storytelling on them, but they were mostly showed during on the screens... once Ayu got into stage, the story stoped and everything went back to the pop concert format.

Also, she still is using a different aesthetic from her past tours... her outfits and performances for At12 wouldn't really fit any of her past tours...

We saw them during the show, it's right. But it wasn't on a second DVD, we didn't get the actual videos, like they used to give us on earlier tour.
