Ever since Max Matsuura has been kicked out of Twitter it seems I'm not showing some love with Ayu very much. Even with the announcement of more details regarding this album. I do NOT have plans to buy this, and if I had any plans to buy this, assuming I bought the two mini-albums, I might not have bought it either...

I think the Japanese reaction is pretty positive (compared to here), if not neutral. Some people who were on the edge though probably are fuming but that's always the case.

i am very happy about this release and i knew it would have alle the songs from LOVE, again & You and Me!
covers are beautiful and i'm gonna get the CD+DVD+GOODIES, which has the best one!

the only thing i don't like about this is that the only "new PV" is Melody...

I'm agreeing with you now. [Although I'm one of those who was "tricked" to buy LOVE and again] You know what? I'm blaming only myself, for being stupid and naive. And what's done is done. well, i bought LOVE and again as well, BUT it's ok for me!
Ayu is one of the few artists i want to buy all singles, albums and mini's (and mostly main best of's like A BEST and sometimes Compilations like A BALLADS if it's worth it), so i would have them anyway...

i can understand if some are kinda dissapointed, BUT i don't see the the point being winy and throwing stones at her...
we should be happy that we get new music and seriously i am more satisfied with an album that i know i'll probably love most of the songs than something like Party Queen which has some good songs but nothing more...

I'm looking forward to seeing what the Ayupan looks like as well! I love the fact that it's going to be an exclusive Ayupan that only those who've ordered the limited editions will get. It's probably going to be quite rare and worth a nice chunk of change in the future. I'm also really looking forward to seeing the photobook as well since the covers are gorgeous!

One of the worst parts is that there's nothing on the ****ing DVD. I really couldn't care less about the Melody PV.

I am excited about the ayupan cover...if it's ayu on the cover of the album, that will be amazing.

I was disappointed at first when I saw this announcement... But now I feel okay about it.

I'm one of those who usually don't buy singles, so I feel tricked as well. But well it was kinda my mistake as well, because these were quite obviously singles in disguise lol

Anyway, that's what most of fans wanted: she released 'singles' and included them on her new album.

Even if she labeled these as singles instead of mini-albums, I'm sure everyone here would still go 'I wish this album only had new tracks'

I feel like Ayu is having a mid-life crisis way too soon. I want her to still release new music and be around, but not if it means she does crap like this. I'd rather she go on hiatus to refresh and get inspired and then have a great comeback. It would give us time to miss her and she wouldn't look pathetic by releasing stuff just for the sake of releasing something!

Oh well, saving money by NOT buying this album. This is the first "major album" I won't be purchasing. And I still wish I hadn't bothered with buying Party Queen. :laugh I feel like she never would have willingly done a release like this back in the day. WHAT has happened to her?? I completely fail to see how this is a "THANK YOU TO THE FANS" when it's really a HUGE SLAP IN THE FACE! This album is going to bomb so hard. Probably because it's a lot of material in a short amount of time? I mean, 2011 was really barren for Ayu releases and we never get news so quickly for most Ayu releases.

I wouldn't feel tricked if I bought the singles before an album was released, I mean, I have bought them on iTunes before. It's just that I knew what I was doing, I guess. Also, the singles are usually released long before the full album is.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if I had known her release schedule for the 15th anniversary project, I would not have bought LOVE and again, but I'm kind of over the initial dissapointment. I'm looking forward to it now. :)

I still feel like we were lied to. How is that a thank you? I only bought "again" and didn't buy "LOVE", but it's the principle of the thing that irks me. I guess I was gullible in believing they were stand alone releases and we wouldn't see them repeated on an album. It's hilarious/pathetic that Avex isn't calling any release a "single" anymore so she can keep her streak. She'll still HAVE the streak, it'll just have ended. Lauren was right. They called them mini albums just so they could charge more for them. They weren't stand alone releases, they didn't have their own concepts. They were just singles. And it worked.

I feel slightly bad for everyone who spent money on it, but hey, it's business. Personally, I think I'll wait a while before I ever decide to make music purchases.

I feel so cheated. I am an album person only. Hence I bought e mini albums. Now this 14th one has more than 50% containing tracks from LOVE and again. I think my no1 hate list consist of whoever who came up with this stupid idea

My entire theory was that she'd release 5 mini albums and combine them all anyway, so I'm actually kind of glad she jumped the gun and is releasing the album sooner than I expected. The quality of her music lately has been pretty great so I for one and am excited for the new tracks. I think both mini albums fit together pretty nicely too anyway, so I'm looking forward to this!

Ok, why are people pulling the "if they were labelled as singles you'd love it, stop whining"/"would you feel this way if they were singles" argument? It's simple: people wouldn't complain if they were singles because you expect them to be on another release. A mini-album you do not. When something is a single you make the conscious choice to purchase repeated material.

It's why I don't buy singles, I (thankfully) didn't buy LOVE or again, but I was planning to - because they're mini-albums! Glad I've been rather broke these past few months.

i think people should accept this, this is not the end of the world, it's a typical album release with just a few new songs and thats ok...
i mean look at Hikki's HEART STATION (3/4 new songs+ 1 interlude) or Namie's Uncontrolled (4 new songs)...
so 7 new songs (probably 5 songs and 2 interludes) isn't the best, BUT it could be much worse!!

some people are dissapointed of some reasons, yes!
BUT people shouldn't act like this or tweet her bad things...
it's not you own her, she can do whatever she (or avex) wants!
you know, she's an artist, she's a product, she's here to make people throwing money at her!!

It's disappointing for, I guess where I like to have Ayu in my list of creative musicians.

It would have been really cool if she could have come up with something really interesting...but it seems like she mostly does really interesting things when she's all...sad or on medication.

Maki was a different case though only maybe half her songs from the minis were put on the album. Also it was her first and last Avex album and was meant to encompass her entire career at Avex - like a mini best of basically.

I have only heard one or two new Ayu songs from the last year, since my interest in her and her music has dropped significantly over the last few years; so I will be happy to hear the album as a whole, but I can completely see why others would be pissed off about this situation. I've lost a lot of respect for Ayu in the last few years, but this has kind of been the big kicker. Yes, it's mostly Avex's fault, but Ayu could have put her foot down and prevented it from happening.
