The first three songs are great! Meanwhile, the rest sounds just for the sake of entertaining. I kind of foresee SpeXial to make a debut in Japan since they're having such a huge exposure.

I'm a little disappointed with the performances this year but End roll was beautiful.

I really don't like her vocal in this show, waiting for the show on 30th Aug.

Predictable setlist, my only big surprise was End roll, no expectations at all she'd perfom it. (She could bring monochrome together, eh? :rolleyes)

Her voice in the first three songs... :no it was a struggle to watch Wake me up, what happened to it, she sounded so good at AT, thank god it got better at End roll and onwards. Speaking of which, idk it it's because it's not edited or because it simply was bad, but I prefer the AT08 to this. From perfomance, to arrangement, to voice. And not her cutting half of evolution... AGAIN. :eviltongu

And Ko was so much cuter when he had dark hair. He basically just looks like an ugly version of Kazuma with the blonde and it’s really distracting because at a quick glance from a distance you can’t always tell who’s who. Maybe not so much in this particular show because he styled his hair with that godawful part, but when it's straight I'm just like :shakehead

It was also funny when SpeXial were on July 1st and didn't even know the song to do lalalala with their mouths and looked clueless lol.

End roll here sounded way better than the AT08 one imo.

I totally agree. Plus, it's apples and oranges--this was totally live, and what we've heard of AT08 was edited and processed.

Didn't love it lol. Hope she performs Summer diary though!

Uhm, I am not really digging her live vocals in this show. Yeah, she sounded nice at SONGS and she totally nailed de Minuit Tour, but she sounds off here. As if she is really tired.

I was a bit surprised as I'd never seen A-Nation so empty. Hopefully Tokyo has better sales...

vocal wise, end roll was quite bad but it truly looked amazing! (Ok, not that bad, but she had better days + the mic setting wasn't great)

Wake me up and Sayonara were sooooo bad imo... The rest was ok. I hope she changes the setlist and improves singing before the final night. Overall, I'm not impressed.
Midoring dancing with those feathers <3 I'm in love. And I thought I was seeing things, but when I watched her introduce the dancers, I realized my eyes weren't playing tricks, Shuya's back!!

Omg when she sang evolution she sounded like, to me, those people who go on those TV shows and try to sing like her. Poor girl sounded like she had a cold the entire time. Even Step by step, despite being newly released, sounded a mess. I actually chuckled a bit when she attempted to sing the chorus. Oh Ayu, we love you.
She looked nice though. I would have gone just to see her.

She definitely changed her singing technique and still try to adapt with it...

the define example will be End roll...she don't want to shout when singing the high notes...usually she shouts on Hikariiii..tenshiiii...but now she changed it with falseto (head voice) but it's not perfect...at least she try to use new technique...she learn...

other than that her vocal is ok...especially during summer songs medley..all is good...

It's a shame that when a lot of non fans get to hear her at the stadium, she sounds so bad, moreover it's being broadcast. Definitely not gonna change her image for the better.
Enjoyed the part when she messed up lyrics in greatful days.

In my opinion :
1. the whole sound system of this venue isn't good. Not only Ayu but also TRF, Koda Kumi, they can't barely control the vocal. The headliner - BIGBANG is good at this.
2. She seems really tired and unconfident at her performances
3. I don;t like her hair ...

i think the problem with artists sounding bad is the size of the stadium/open air design and how the sound is spread out around a huge area with a bunch of speakers

Oh my god, SpeXial was sooooo awkward during July 1st. I was getting secondhand embarrassment just from watching them. It's weird, it's like Ayu has no chemistry with them the way she did with Naoya and JUNO before this. Maybe someone set them up instead of being Ayu's personal want?

This whole a-nation was just a pass for me. The only thing I enjoyed was how hot Kuu looked. Literally nothing else.

Loved ayu's performances so, so much! :love My favorites were especially "Sayonara" & "Step by step". I actually kinda found it a bit funny, seeing SpeXial & ayu all on that stage...and including her backup dancers, the stage was just super crowded! :laugh :P But ayu's outfit was stunning, for sure. :luv2 And I'm sill in love with her casual top & shorts look during "Step by step". :luv2 ayu looked incredibly pretty & was totally youthful throughout the whole performance. :heart :)

The audio was SO BAD. The mixing's so bad, it made Last minute sound good. And her mic in Wake in up was so badly fitted it kept slipping off lol.

Also, the cornrows are back. Meh.

I love her performance... Although her voice is not really good especially in sayonara, and the head mic always moving on wake me up.. But i found out when she sang sayonara with spexial some of the audiences sat on their chair.. But when ayu sang her song alone most of them stand up and enjoy the song... But i also think that lots of ayu's fan come to that stadium.. Because i saw lots of her uchiwa in the videos..

Agree with you, but Ayu tried even holding arms with one of them lol I guess their appearance in July 1st was something from last minute, they didn't know what to do very well.

Whatever the heck was going on ´sound wise´ was sooo annoying. Especially noticeable during the first 3 songs. Sometimes it sounded too loud and others you could barely hear her. ANNOYING! She still sounded pretty good vocal wise in m opinion. She missed quite a few notes here and there but not her worst performance or anything. It was pretty good.

She looked beautiful for most of the show and then she had to come out with the a-nation t-shirt all cut up like that and with her weird fitting pants and the huge and awkward looking earring...:tired

Yeah not her best performance vocal-wise, but I think that's mosty due to the sound being out of control most of the time, so she was more focused on her microphone than her vocals. And it seemed to me that she had to scream during the chain part because you could barely hear her :tired I think that kinda ruined her vocals for the night, too.

Still, not too bad, especially comparing to her older lives (between ~GUILTY and the latest CDL). I was preparing myself to cringe before every high note in End roll, and was pleasantly surprised when she didn't shout them, even though she struggled to hit them sometimes.

I hope they provide better microphones for the next shows :D

As she wasn't the headliner, the whole sound set wasn't programmed having her on mind... This gets really clear when you notice she sounded off and strange even while talking and shouting to the audience. She kept the first 3 songs trying to sing around the issue until she actually got to a nice place during End roll. But microphone issues aside she herself didn't really sound bad.

Imo it didn't even work well for the headliners. I could barely hear BIGBANG's voices over the studio vocals. At least in Bang Bang Bang and Tonight, because I gave up watching after that.

So Kuu wasn't the only one with sound issues then. It really frustrates me when my top 2 artists (=reasons why I watch a-nation) are having sound issues in their performances. Ayu didn't sound that bad in End roll but the rest could have been better. I guess I gotta wait for a edited version and rewatch these.

When i saw the pictures of her with Naoya i was sure she'd sing with him on stage haha, that's a big "fuc u" to the people who were upset when she sang with him at a-nation 2011. I'm a little disappointed that she didn't change the setlist much, but very happy about DEPARTURES, i love this song, AAA covered it a few years ago.

However, I agree. She looked beautiful and even though it wasn't her best performance, at least she tried hard! She's trying! Someone here mentioned how she tried a new singing technique (for her, at least) where instead of yelling the notes, she's actually trying to sing them and it may not be working just yet but I love that she's trying. It'll improve if she keeps trying. I'm enjoying watching her do all these new things. It may not be perfect but just the fact that she's trying shows so much.

And I've never heard that departure song before, but it's beautiful. Who originally sings it?

She sings this as good as KEIKO does. This song is so ayu.

I think it's really awesome Ayu performed DEPARTURES, even though she was having trouble with some of the higher notes...it's a really nice gesture imo, especially since we're coming up on globe's 20th anniversary and it's not like they're able to perform it themselves.

just watched wake me up...and she sounded more powerful..looks like they took care of the sound problem...

on the first day...she try to press the ear sound monitor...looks like there is problem on the sound monitor...but on second day..she didn't do that...and she sounded lot better...

is it just me or anyone else realize that the led light fan is more bright now..looks like they are using a new lamp on it...it looks brighter, sparkling and expensive..I want it..the blue light is so pretty and cool...
