Yeah, I don't think the same people who complain about the lips in ayu's threads frequent kumi's thread haha. I could be wrong though. Love that last pic of her with the curls.

I think Ayu fans are complaining that she has fish lips in more "official" pictures, like covers or magazine shoots. Kuu's are usually only in candid shots. Also, Kuu fans always complain that her mouth is always open in her official shoots.

Thanks, but this link doesn't really work. It's really slow and needs more than a day to download. And I have a very fast internet connection and was able to download the full a-nation show with 19 GB without problems in an hour. |

GOSH I LOVE THE TOUR
Girl got me singing along to the overperformed songs, screaming with the old gems and pretending to be dancing with her hahahahaha Plus Moon Crying was stunning, plus Kimi Omoi sounded really good live. I hope there's a live album for the tour btw the band gave the songs a really nice adding. Oh and the shooting was really good! The angles from the audience were really well done. |

The link worked after all! Even though I cancelled the download, I noticed some time later it downloaded anyway. Needed about 3 hours in the end, but it worked, yay. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Watched it now and it is great! Was impressed by Shhh!, CWGB and Moon Crying especially. Also the medley was really nicely done. Trust Your Love and TAKE BACK! Wowow cut it a bit strangely, cause e.g. you can see the end of the fan interaction time, but not the rest. They should have just kept it. Also the rip is missing the end of the dance part, it's just skipping to CGWB. Her vocals were awesome till CWGB! After that she started to "snarl" with her voice for some parts of the last songs ( like in TABOO at Dirty Ballroom). Guess it's intentionally from her for a cool effect or something, as e.g. at the last part of POP DIVA she uses her voice normally. A pity. I wouldn't have anything to complain about without! The audience is great as well. They party, cheer and sing so much on their own. Really looking forward to the DVD as quite a bunch is cut this time from the broadcast. Watched a few clips and oh my god. I'm SLAYED by the Shhh! performance! So much energy, great choreography and she danced with such power. Plus she sounded amazing. DAMN. I haven't enjoyed a Kuu perf in such a long while.

My thoughts about the concert:
- LOVE the stage, even tho it still underused. Just like the boat on Bon Voyage Tour was used just for half song, the whole jukebox could be used a lot more. - The lights are on point this time! Love how much colors they used this time. I was thinking that this tour would be very "monochromatic" but it's quite colorful! - When the medley started I was like: http://66.media.tumblr.com/01b4d1a00...tcpt89_500.gif It was so awesome that I don't even care that Someday whas there (love the song, but wtf was it doing there with the old school "hits"?). - Her voice is so much better than during The Artist, she's not struggling to sing Crazy 4 U, which is good. - How is possible to someone dance as hard as Kumi with that 6 inches heels? Amazing. - Love the interlude, it was fun without being campy, and she looked gorgeous during the bar scene! - First time that I wish Moon Crying was the full song, such a beautiful performance. The scene with the thunder and the fire was so much more interesting. - The rest was good, some highlights here and there. As said already this is a great show. I love that her dancing has improved every year. I really can't wait to see whats in store for next years tour which will hopefully be an arena tour for a brand new album!

Some days later I where there i saw some bad comments about voice, dance, staging, lights, songs, atmosphere... I was "Come on! Did you see the same live??" Of course, it's not an arena, of course no exclusives songs, of course each of us don't like some little points... But this live is incredible! Interludes are back! (And you didn't see everything !) And the setlist work!! It could be a disaster if she made like the first class second limited live! And impossible to make 50+ days nation island live!! Just prefect of what she would! Talking about her family in MC! In 3 lives i were, there was misono, mother and son! And I saw them! Really incredible! Many new fans in fc, in live, sold out venues, ... And with this fns live as promoting... little craze for kuuchan this year!! |
I think one of the reasons I love Kuu so much is her ability to dance in those heels. Like, all the respect in the world for this woman!

The concert was what I expected it to be: really cool to watch because it's Kuu we're talking about but far from being anything special
We had already seen all the performances before, even if it's a concert celebrating all her hits I would've liked more diversity. Either way, the live band was really cool and the old medley was amazing <3 |

I just finished watching her tour and here's my comment
Like : 1. the theme of her tour is always creative. I love how she used jukebox theme for Best Single Collection that makes nostalgia vibe. 2. I'm convinced she put her whole energy in dancing and I love that she always feel what she does and lyrics she sings. 3. Lights and sounds effect is good. 4. her costumes look good and fashionable, there's no any weird ones. Dislike : 1. Setlist would be better if she changed it sometimes, there are many single songs ignored, how can this called "Best Single Collection" perfectly? 2. Her voice is damaged undeniably, nevertheless it's still on point. Look forward to what's next from her? |
Did anyone notice for dance songs and poppier ones she recently tend to switch between her "normal" singing voice and the squeaky nasal voice? It gets annoying sometimes.

I haven't watched the whole thing yet (I've been busy) but the performances I have watched are epic as hell.
Also, why did they cut real Emotion and 1000 no Kotoba from their medleys? That's just weird if you ask me. Doesn't it ruin the flow completely? O.o |

I LOOOOOVE this tour!!:love Can't wait to get my hands on the Blu-ray!! <3 Her vocals were SO on point 90% of the time, even if she did sound a little squeaky at the end. Yet still you gotta give it to her, she's effin' awesome - almost 50 tour dates, no lip-syncing, so much dancing, rehearsals, etc. I bet all the people who complain bout her vocals / performances in the last few years must be exceeding their bosses expectations at their jobs on a daily bais. It makes me happy that she doesn't perform globally, her international fans would rip her apart. Literally for everything.
My 3 tiny complains are: lighting was a little too dim in some parts, short versions of Trust Your Love & love across the ocean were just pathetic and sad, as mentioned already stage was underused. |

I hope for either a 3A-4A side 60th single announcement or new album. It's been too long to announce another mediocre release. SOL, WOL, Shh were cute and all but they are by far some of the most uninspired and bland releases she's put ever put out. WOML was a bit better but even that was somewhat underwhelming. I hope Kuu can excite me with a new release again.

Since WOML is one of my favorite albums from Kuu, and all the songs she released so far after the album are pretty good, I like the direction that she is going.
I'm not creating any expectations about the new release that will come, her release schedule is a little messy right now, and I still feel like something was scrapped this year, I mean, why would they put a brand new song on a commercial, and then the song not being released at all? But anyway, I remember that during late 2014 / early 2015 it was pretty much the same thing, being on the studio pretty much every week/month and all of the sudden there was WOML, so we'll have to wait and see how it turns out. |

She even released Beach Mix when she was pregnant . She's on a long tour right now which wouldn't end until Nov but some artistes still release new material in between doing long tours too For her not to release a Summer single this year is a bit disappointing as I always look forward to them . Now the way I see it , at most she probably can shoot for an end of the year release ? Also sure some might find KODA KUMI LIVE TOUR 2016 ~Best Single Collection~ boring and not as great/exciting as her past tours/concerts but there's still a theme/story behind it which's a celebration of the past & present Kuu |
It's funny. This tour generates a lot of buzz over on Baidu. And with the Japanese as well it seems.
Just for 4 dates tickets are still available. I acutally see this tour as extention of her 15th Anniversary celebrations. Maybe they couldn't tour all of Japan in 2015 (not making it in time with booking e.g.) or Avex wanted her to make an arena tour and special first to make more money. Whatever it is, they clearly did plan this as we got Summer and Winter of Love and not a new album before. And releasing in between the tour would go agianst the concept of the tour. |

From what I know , some artistes tend to personally announce important announcements during the MC of their tours/concerts and/or at the end before the news eventually get posted on their official site

Yeah it's rare for artistes to include countdown timers on their websites . The only other artiste that did it a few years ago was NEWS (when they were making their comeback as a quartet)

It's not her first coutdown, she had one for 4 TIMES as well. The weird thing is that the countdown is set to "random", and will probably start the regular time tomorrow.
For WOML she had one preview per day until the release, with a new image as well. |
For WOML we also had a lyric snippet of the song WOML every day some days before the actual announcement of the album (two or three days or so).
