i have lost my interest on seeing her live since i'd be bored to death since she seems to perform Key, teddy bear, The Show must go on, evo, NOW & 4EVA, progress and STEP you all the time :no every single tour. +WARNING

Everyone saw it coming, no surprise here.

Honestly she can perform STEP you at every single concert until the end of eternity and I will not complain. I get nervous every time I see it in the setlist though because I feel she's gonna wear it out and by the time I get a chance to see her again then that's the time she won't be performing it! It's like the one "hope" I would have on the setlist next time I see her.

All I will say about song selction is this...

1 - As a fan, and a longtime fan, I would love to hear older/more underperformed songs. I'm really sad I didn't get to see Return Road on either night.

2 - That said, many of her fans DO know her mostly for her hits. TA tour is slightly different, but even still. I will always repeat that last year when she did Present in the encore people were like...what's this song? I don't know it, I don't know the lyrics. And there is a visible drop in energy in the crown. Before the finale, I was talking to a Japanese girl outside and she was asking if me or this other girl have been to CDL. I said I haven't been to one since CDL 04-05 and her jaw dropped that I had been a fan for so long, and had seen her that long ago.

3 - To the above point, as an audience member, the energy is everything (in the best way). The concert is like a giant party. Even if you may be sick of Evolution, the crowd isn't. Even songs like Progress and NOW & 4EVA, which I don't particularly love, were awesome. And I was even surprised to find out that I knew the choruses pretty well.

I've enjoyed the giant party as well.

I was about to peace out the moment Red line was finished until I heard the first note of Ivy. It was a good surprise :)

Key's vocals were the rawest i had ever heard her voice. I could feel the emotion.

When I saw that she didn't stop to change the setlist I thought the same thing. As if she was taking advantage of the TA tour to train herself to sing these songs.

It was definitely filmed at the Tokyo finale. There were cameras all over, and the 1F standing area was a good 3-4 feet further back from the stage to allow them to move around -- it was not like that the night before.

Yes, that's right. Only Timmy was some more songs on stage. But not long also.
Most of the time only Ayu and some dancers.

She used the different levels a little bit, but not extensively. And she mostly used a backing track for music and vocal.

not sure if its been mentioned but how did she do with the Real me choreo? I could see her killing it seeing as she is in amazing shape!

Also, I don't recall different stage levels in Sapporo... If there were different levels, I didn't notice them, because she isn't really using them. Most of the the time she just stood in the front.

And she did the Real me choreography very nicely! One of my favorite moments from the show :)

To be honest I hate it when artists don't use a live band. I don't need the dancers, but a live band is essential for me.

May be is just me: I feel like, a live concert without live band is like fish-&-chips without chips at side.

^^ I agree with you both. I was slighty irritated that all of her dancers were there throughout most of the concert , but the band only for two songs.

I don't mind if the band was not there for.. like Real me or whatever, but for the ballads it would have definetely more intimate.

I totally agree, I hate it too! Especially in Ayu's case where it feels like we know the band. But hopefully it's just a one off for this tour.

The band adds something special to her concerts because they always try to change something in the melody of the songs, so it's not like you're listening to the "(Instrumental)" version of it.

Yeah, the band was only up there for the acoustic section. The rest sounded like it was the recorded versions of the songs.

Real Me was the best performance imo. It was the full song with full choreography with the music video playing behind her.

Chances are it will be out somehow and given the previous one's release, expect it in the next album or best. Like... we'll probably see CDL bundled with the Just the beginning tour again.

Probably it could bundled with expensive TA only edition of CDL later this year. Or maybe TA only edition of new album + CDL+ TA tour. I don't see it being released as standalone DVD/BD, because AVEX won't miss chance to milk fans.

I'm still recovering from the MIJ boxset, with middleman costs it cost me close to $400AUD. I don't know if I can spend that much on a boxset again. :shakehead
