Loved it! I started watching the video and my mom walked behind me and we were hooked lol.

Zeke. 11th October 2008 09:55 PM

^ Lol. I know; it's weird how I was kinda just drawn to the television along with 3 other people.

Keiichi_JPU 12th October 2008 12:01 AM

I think this PV is a direct reference to the Toxic PV, which I love because it's one of her biggest hits and it's a great song + pv.

just some points of similarity:
- 3 hair colors: black, blond, red-ish.
- nude scene
- shower scene
- sits on top of the guy + something with food (or poison in toxic)
- unrealistic throwing scene on the couch (where she throws the guy somewhere)

again, I'm NOT bashing the pv for this, but I love it!! She appeals to main stream while also pleasing the fans!

also, the chubby guy at the copy machine looks like the guy in the plane from Toxic! but I need a closer look when it airs on TV.

se7entheaven 12th October 2008 03:04 AM

this song is so great and the PV also so unique

I recognized that too!

sanzo2011 12th October 2008 08:06 AM

although this video 's similar to TOXIc ( imo ) .... but who cares !!!! i still love it so much !!!! i hope it'll be the best video of the year in VMA next year

Luv ~Venus~ 13th October 2008 05:51 AM

The video was great and yea, it definitely pays homage to Toxic. The only problems I had with the pv was that it was too short and that she looked like a tall buff man in the businesswomen scene. Other than that it was cool. :)

Btw, I agree with austin. Toxic jewerly Britney >>>>>>>>>>> Womanizer naked Britney. Somehow I found her naked scene disturbing.

bondingo 13th October 2008 06:18 AM

I think my only concern was her eyebrows in the sauna scenes when it showed her close up. They were definitely a different color than the hair on her head.

Vinylfantasy 13th October 2008 06:39 AM

I just love this video! It's so camp!!!

Yeah, but they matched her 3 inch roots perfectly :heart

i love "womanizer", it's so catchy ...

ALL is hot I LOVE britney SHE is AMAZING

Yum!Fruit_Salad! 13th October 2008 11:21 PM

@dddaiyamondo
frikken hilarious

I agree with a few people here, it's not her best video nor Best Video of the Year material, but is hell of a lot better than Blackout's videos. The full on naked scenes weren't needed and the short black wig made Britney look butch. Really, this is more of my taste, but the hair flipping moves were annoying.

So far, I have high hopes for Circus!

LEOyumi 14th October 2008 02:57 AM

I love the naked scenes. Not for looking at her body or anything lol but I like it.. Better than the Toxic scene, that I find strange >__>
Womanizer is total win!

If you can believe it. ET (Entertainment Tonight), which I never watch, actually said Britney's Nude Scenes contained the most "Strategically Placed Hands" in Music Video History.

I had to do a double take, and if I could I would have did a double listen, luckily I had Screen Captions on so I got to double read to make sure I heard it right.

Ridiculous. I guess the bar has been set so low for Britney for so long, all she has to do is make a music video that's doesn't look like a home movie to make history.

Anybody see the parallels to her real life. She was wearing those horrible wigs in real life, especially that pink one, and she brought it over into her music video.

Yeah, I think because we all remember how she's been looking in these recent years and that image hasn't left my mind at all. Especially the fact that we saw her Cesarean Mark in all its fleshy woundedness. I remember comparisons to a Moldy Hamburger or something like that. Ugh.

Yeah, we know exactly what that steam is hiding. Not to mention she did look good in those far away shots, but close up, I saw hints of how Britney actually looks now under the make up. She does look better though.

Catzi 14th October 2008 07:56 PM

It's very interesting that they added more steam to the nude scenes for TV, because in the director's cut there's barely any steam, and you still don't see anything.

This video isn't much different from any of her other videos. I still believe her best videos were "Everytime" and "Boys."

dddaiyamondo 14th October 2008 10:31 PM

UMMMM, there was a glitch today with iTunes causing "Womanizer" to be removed from the store in all countries. Her record label is working to get it back, but how the **** could that have happened? Did Xtina pay someone to do it?

:roflmao

That's kind of retarded. You would think someone could get that controlled easily. Maybe there really is a conspiracy behind it 0_o

dddaiyamondo 15th October 2008 04:58 AM

Christina probably spent her makeup money for the week and paid the iTunes people to remove "Womanizer". :uzi It better go back up soon or I'll be peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-ist.

sanzo2011 15th October 2008 05:23 AM

yeah !!! i hope it'll be backs so soon ... maybe someone doesn't want Brits reach no 1

bondingo 15th October 2008 05:31 AM

Well it's back now, and at number 5. This is just weird.

lovelism 15th October 2008 12:14 PM

YIPPY BRITNEY IS BACK!
I STILL LOVE HER MUSIC!

sanzo2011 15th October 2008 05:31 PM

that's all what i read " Britney Spears makes a 96-1 jump with "Womanizer," returning to the top of the list for the first time since her debut single ". . . Baby One More Time" hit No. 1 in January 1999 . . . This is the third time in the past two months that the record for the biggest jump to No. 1 has been shattered. On the Hot 100 dated Sept. 6, T.I. soared 71-1 with "Whatever You Like" and last week he broke his own record when he sprinted 80-1 with "Live Your Life." . . . Spears' massive leap to No. 1 is spurred by first-week digital download sales of 286,000, the biggest opening-week tally by a female artist since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking digital downloads in 2003, besting Mariah Carey's take for "Touch My Body" by just over 200 units . . . In between her nearly 10-year gap between No. 1s, Spears has placed four other top 10s on the Hot 100, the last being "Gimme More," the first single from her last album, "Blackout." That song jumped 68-3 last October with first-week download sales of 179,000. "Womanizer" previews Spears' sixth studio set "Circus," due Dec. 2. "

Because Britney wasn't such a spectacle then and was considered normal. The only reason she's having such success at this point is because of how far she fell in her life and career and everybody is interested to see what she does next, good or bad. It's all entertainment.

freedreamer 16th October 2008 03:33 AM

Because she's "when again"? Since when is "when" an adjective?

And no, the song is actually great, and that's why it's so successful. If Britney just recorded herself farting it wouldn't be this successful.

Zeke. 16th October 2008 04:43 AM

^ Kinda agreed.

That certainly has something to do with it. So many have been rooting for Britney and to see that she's finally getting her "oomf" back, at least as far as Music Videos go, endear people to her. They've been feeling bad for her, she's now seems to be doing better so they're supporting her all the more to encourage her. In some aspects, it more about the artist and not about the song.

Partino 16th October 2008 04:56 AM

Do I think some people are interesting in this just for that reason? Yes. Makes complete and total sense. Everybody is interested in the state of Britney Spears.

People are "interesting in this"? I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're saying.

And no, not everybody is interested in Britney. Many people are, but stating that "everybody is" is a generalization. People are glad to see her doing well, yes. However, people wouldn't buy the song if it were crap. It's a good song, and therefore people are supporting her by purchasing it (and yes, the fact that her fans wish to support Britney herself is a part of this, as is the case with any fan purchasing a song from an artist they consider themselves a fan of).

Exactly. I can't think of any examples of people buying a song they don't actually like. I mean seriously, it makes no sense. Clearly if people are buying the song, then they actually LIKE it, and they're not just "interesting in Britney"...

Thank you. I don't support Ayu when she churns out ****, and that's why I didn't purchase A COMPLETE. It's a lazy release, and even though I adore her, I'm not some blind fan who will waste my own money in order to buy a compilation of songs I already own simply to support her. If people thought Womanizer was not a good song, and were just purchasing it to support her as a person, then it would be sad how many blind fans she has.

CoriKaru 16th October 2008 05:15 AM

I didn't really think that I had to explain the fact that when I said "Everybody" that I didn't mean every single human being on the face of this earth. Some people don't even have television or know who Britney Spears is so really it goes without saying.

Melon Panda 16th October 2008 05:33 AM

I don't like Womanizer all that much (she can definitely do better), but I'll support the song if it means helping Britney produce better music in the future.

Yup, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just how it works sometimes.

ImpactBreaker 16th October 2008 08:05 AM

She said "support", not buy. Unless she's indeed buying it for that reason.:shrug I don't understand how you'd encourage an artist to produce better music by applauding them when they've made a bad song though :shrug

I'll buy her next album, but not because I pity her. I'm already a fan and well, a lot of people liked BLACKOUT, and I definitely loved it, so it might have gotten people really hyper to check out how Womanizer would sound like. I haven't listened to Womanizer yet, though I'm extremely curious, but I don't feel like downloading it (and I haven't been paying attention to what's being played on radio..).

lovelism 16th October 2008 08:11 AM

Love BLACKOUT AND WOMANIZER ALOT! Will buy her upcoming album!

dddaiyamondo 16th October 2008 09:48 AM

The argument that Britney is only finding success because people are rooting for her and they are caught up in her making a comeback is bull. If that were true, how come Blackout sold so poorly? I know it's hard for the haters to admit that "Womanizer" is a catchy and amazing song, but they need to face facts.

heartplace83 16th October 2008 04:33 PM

totally agree with u. BLACKOUT did crap. and those haters just scared to accept her really coming back to the scene. christina aguilera's fans all decided to purchase her single "Keeps getting Better" in iTunes on the same day Womanizer was released just so Britney would not get the top spot. but too bad, she's even #1 in Billboard Hot 100 now. there, in ur face = ="

edit: owh i forgot to mention how much i love Womanizer. The video is awesome. the office scenes cracked me up ~ XD

lol cant believe i still see these kinda bull around.

panda87 17th October 2008 07:21 PM

i'm so happy to see her come back. i've never really cared much for britney before, but now, i'm really interested in what she has to offer now. Womanizer isn't that great, but it shows a new britney that's now put her foot down. i'm going to support her for that, to keep her doing what she's doin b/c of that "what now?" kind of curiosity i have of her. maybe that's why she's up top on the chart for that reason. some people could be thinking just like i am. it's about the artist AND the new sound, which, in this case, is a new sound for Britney, imo. its like, one would keep nurturing an unknown pot of something after it was returned by a person who took poor care of it, which once bloomed daisies, to keep it going just to see what it would offer this time.

JaysenRyan 19th October 2008 04:45 AM

people are gonna have their opinions about Britney, and sadly all those people who hate her for the stupidest reasons and want her to fail, well those are the kind of people who will end up just like Britney in her darkest days. At least Britney is picking up her pieces and making a comeback, and whether or not ppl want to admit it, she is coming back full force. Her new single has already broken a few records. /rasp

Same here, I think the whole thing is going to be a lot better, especially since she herself is in a better place, so I am looking forward to a more put-together sound. BLACKOUT was good, but it seemed a little disjointed, so hopefully Circus will feel better oiled.

Agreed, totally. I'm expecting an all-around better album with Circus, especially since Brit herself is doing so much better. I even like Womanizer more than Gimme More, which not many people seem to.

Me too! Not that I didn't love Gimme More, but there's something about Womanizer that just makes me want to dance more, and I smile more. Maybe it's because it's still new, but in any case, I am loving it. And congrats to her for another #1 =D

*Loves Gimme More more than Womanizer*

I hope Circus is better than BLACKOUT as well. BLACKOUT was okay but I didn't like most of the tracks. :no I haven't been to enjoy ALL of Britney's album tracks since Britney was released. =/ Britney = :heart In the Zone was another okay album but I wasn't feel'n some of the tracks either. I seriously felt that I wasted money on ITZ. I really hope that I can enjoy all of her album tracks on Circus like I did with Britney.

dddaiyamondo 21st October 2008 10:59 AM

^Wat.

ITZ was her best album by far. That's when I started taking her serious as an artist, not just some pop culture phenomenon. "Touch of My Hand", "Breathe On Me", "Early Mornin'", "Everytime", "Toxic"... so amazing. And Blackout is one of my favorite pop albums ever, hands down. "Gimme More", "Toy Soldier", "Radar"... it blows away pretty much everything else in 2007.

Continue the dance rehearsals to build her back up to the performer she used to be. That's all I want from her as an entertainer right now.

Also, THANK GOD THEY DECLARED A MISTRAIL. That should never have even gone to trial in the first place.

That's very fitting for her 10th anniversary. Hopefully we'll get to hear the track!

Kobayashiwoof 27th October 2008 10:25 PM

Oh Mai Godz SHE COPY AYU!! MAYBE SHE KNOW AYU? OH NOE!

god lmao jks kiddies

I think that would be cool, Christina is re-recording a couple of old tracks for her upcoming Best, now Britney doing it... its gonna be great :D. 2 of the greatest pop icons doing it at the same time :D.

Melon Panda 28th October 2008 02:02 AM

The media will probably turn it into a battle of the divas, and you know fans are going to buy copies to support their favorite. It'll be like Kanye West vs. 50 Cent, only neither is going to stop singing if they "lose" in sales.

Judging from Christina's latest MV...i think Britney has the chance...
Seems like November 2nd is the day where all 4 stars clash..

Britney, Xtina, Leona, Beyonce are all releasing their singles on Nov 2nd.

Leona's Forgive Me was some bonus track material...
I cant comment on Beyonce's

Anyways...I hope she makes the re-record well haha..that'll really show a lot

waterballoon 28th October 2008 05:15 PM

I just remembered that 2008 is Britney's 10th Anniversary! LOL.

her eyes look horrible and so is her dress. imo worse than the blackout cover

Sundae 31st October 2008 11:45 PM

Britney's covers have always been okay. Blackout had to be the ugliest cover though. This is one of the prettier looking ones. It's over air brushed feel reminds me of BEST FICTION.

edit:What a sec... Bonus Track is Radar?! The Bonus Track is a song we already have(if you bought the last album)!

~X2RADialbomber~ 1st November 2008 03:18 AM

She looks fugly as fugly can be.

'If u seek Amy'? What? :\

stickyrice 1st November 2008 03:35 AM

Geeez the cover is bad =\ Oh well, I'll still buy the album =)

I'm assuming that could have been a typo and they meant 'If U Seek Any'

se7entheaven 1st November 2008 03:40 AM

OMG the cover is sooo nice
so pretty ^^
something fresh from her
somehow looks like Paris Hilton
LOL

That's what I was thinking. :P

Sundae 1st November 2008 04:08 AM

On her official website it says, If U Seek Amy, so maybe it's the title. Btw is that hole in the chest of the dress? I'm trying to find that dress.

I'm curious to hear what Circus sounds like, they say it's a fast tempo song and as her next single we'll get a music video, i hope.

~X2RADialbomber~ 1st November 2008 04:12 AM

MTV says "If U Seek Amy" as well...

'One track, entitled 'If You Seek Amy', has left fans wondering if it's in reference to troubled British singer Amy Winehouse.' (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...bum-cover.html) hahaha.

Kingdom 1st November 2008 04:25 AM

i think she looks pretty on the cover but the text ruins it! better than blackout but still pretty tacky :(

and if anyone thinks there is going to be a big media battle between britney and xtina, you'll be disappointed lol. it's pretty much going to britney hands down.

dddaiyamondo 1st November 2008 05:11 AM

WOW LOVE THE COVER! SO GROGEOUS!

freedreamer 1st November 2008 05:47 AM

I think she look really pretty on the cover hahha...even though the font is tacky but...for a "circus" font, its ok

DOLCE 1st November 2008 05:59 AM

It looks cheap and ugly, Blackout is still worse. and her eyes lmao, she probably forgot to take her meds before the photoshoot :laugh
