To me, RED CLIFF is alan's best single. I love every song on there alot.
Kagome and Modern Sakura are equals in being her best B-sides (for now).

I only find RED CLIFF a-ok on whole but Sora Uta's the one that got my foot started on alan's music

I love it when people think 22 is the end of the world. That's quite good if you compare it to her past sales. Especially since Megumi no Ame is a pretty generic song. She's in the top 30, out of what, 200? That's really good >.>

^XD I wouldn't put it past alan to get an A Song for XX effect with her album. She's got her foot in the door and she's not going anywhere for the time being though, her sales are decent and pretty steady between singles, especially since she's releasing so close together, you'd think one of them would have dropped, they've all remained pretty consistent comparing their first week ranks and sales

Why is everyone flipping out about 22? Seriously, last time I checked, that was pretty decent for a single WITH NO PROMOTION, and an artist who hasn't really ever had a big hit to begin with.

It's not TERRIBLE, but it certainly isn't going to help her gain any popularity; if anything, it risks her selling less and less until she's dropped. I think that's the biggest fear, that avex will stop supporting her if she doesn't sell a lot. But 22 is good with no promotion. I do wish she would perform live more often though; once for this single would have been nice.

Anyways, #22 is not that good a position considering the success of the RED CLIFF movie. But I feel Avex is to blame here. They put ALL their money and effort trying to promote ONE single, that's RED CLIFF. They shouldn't have promoted it that much, I mean, even the movie itself would be promotion enough. They should have focused on her future singles and hopefully, her debut album...

alan mentioned the album in her blog a few days ago, 2008.11.11 she shot the jacket for it, and mentions that it will be released next year. she was also concerned about her skin for the shoot. looks like the album tunes are completed though. can't wait for the album already.
