OMG I want to knoooow! xD

jbrat2219 15th January 2010 05:00 AM

It's 1pm in Japan right now... I'm growing ever impatient. I always get this way when the her deadlines are close...

kyomiayu 15th January 2010 05:06 AM

i keep refresh the page every 15 mins

AyUta 15th January 2010 05:19 AM

So I didn't miss anything? They're just on the verge of announcing parts of it, right?

polka-dot-jewel 15th January 2010 05:22 AM

^ It's the 15th in Japan, and Ayu said it would be announced then, so... sometime in the next 11 hours we'll be getting something.

AyUta 15th January 2010 05:23 AM

^ :shimmy

Maxker 15th January 2010 05:41 AM

oh my, finally! The official website is updating it's news section ^^

edit... W_w

.... naah, nothing new yet. Just some information regarding a 'Calendar 2010 Special Shot' version for mobil-phones in Japan.

Bigtop 15th January 2010 05:49 AM

Oh, hello there... Only some cellphone stuff - but maybe at the end of the Japanese day (around 7:00 a.m. PST; or maybe before that), maybe we could get some information of the tour...

truehappiness 15th January 2010 05:59 AM

Hm, if they do post information, I don't think they'll be doing it on the official site first. Since she mentioned it first on her TeamAyu blog, it'll probably be on TeamAyu at some point today in Japan.

KPL 15th January 2010 06:02 AM

waiting kills me.

lollipop sophie 15th January 2010 06:07 AM

^ I know right! I'm excited right now I
hope they release it soon! (I'm getting sleepy)

admkewe 15th January 2010 06:07 AM

It's already 1pm!! +08 GMT...in japan it's already 2pm...the wait is killing me too >_<

zyoeru 15th January 2010 06:09 AM

This is so nerve wracking. ;)

No it isn't really. At all. I'm just curious as to what she has in mind.

It was posted at the same time, actually. Or, I just happened to see it on the official site before somebody posted the exact TA posting of it. So, it's possible that it'll be posted on both at the same time. It is important news, after all.

I took a nap earlier today just so I could be up for this! :laugh

truehappiness 15th January 2010 06:22 AM

Looking back at AT09's announcement, it happened fairly late at night on the West Coast here, after midnight on January 6th.

Perhaps it'll be posted at around the same time this time around? If so, 2-3 hours to go.

Announcement of AT09 found by Ayumiko at Ayuchina, reposted from Realayu.

It was 11:26PM my time, which is in less than two hours... haha. What time is it now for you?

emi♡ 15th January 2010 06:56 AM

wait what are we waiting for? Is it a surprise? Or like what kind of tour it will be?

the news/leaks always come at like late night here...I usually don't see them until like 3 am lol...so I suspect that'll be when it happens...but I hope for earlier!

truehappiness 15th January 2010 06:59 AM

emiko, we're in the same time zone, so it should be about the same [11PM-12AM PST] if it comes out...

Most people are just waiting for the official confirmation of the tour (whether it is Asia-wide or Japan-only) and to see the dates, I guess. And maybe the title of the tour so that we might know what the album title is.

polka-dot-jewel 15th January 2010 07:00 AM

^ That's a bit strange considering you're only two time zones behind me...? Haha. Oh well.

We've got 9 hours before the 15th ends in Japan. I bet her die-hard fans in Japan are going crazy as well.

Girllllll all I need is a damn title for the tour and album. If you usually get news around midnight, it'll be 3am for me '-'.... Being on the east totally sucks xD;.

8:26 AM on January 6th.

Oh. I just realized for some reason that page is displaying it's time as GMT+1. In my time zone, that would have been 1:26AM on January 26th. Haha. So that is only an hour and a half away...

truehappiness 15th January 2010 07:10 AM

I wonder if the TeamAyu fans already have gotten an e-mail or something about this...

When Ayumiko posted it to AHS, devilayu mentioned that an e-mail was sent out with the details a few hours before with the same details. Anyone from TeamAyu around?

RIN over at the "AyuIppo BBS" mentions the venues and dates at around 7am Japan time... but maybe at this time, they only knew as much as we did?

polka-dot-jewel 15th January 2010 07:15 AM

Aah, another second week of April start in Saitama with a finish at Yoyogi...

She definitely won't be participating in the beginning of a-nation. She'll probably just perform at the Tokyo shows.

Interesting dates. I'm not upset that it's, so far, another Japan-only tour. Is this really her longest, though? Or is there a note suggesting more dates will be added?

Thanks!

truehappiness 15th January 2010 07:16 AM

Ah, there we go.

Thanks, walking.proud!

There'll probably be more added. Every year she has a tour, there are always additional dates added on. Last year had quite a few added on, so this one will probably maybe push 36-40 total?

polka-dot-jewel 15th January 2010 07:22 AM

Aah, I always forget more will be added. It happened a tad with AT08, and then quite a bit with AT09. She'll probably add for more later in the year, probably after a-nation, since she's been touring during that time of year for the past two tours...

emi♡ 15th January 2010 07:22 AM

I knew it was too good for the titles to come out~

Oh well...list...meh lol

thanks for the info.

Bigtop 15th January 2010 07:22 AM

HA!!! I told you guys there would be another Arena Tour!!!...wait a minute - why is it really that?

truehappiness
At least you are right - she does need to take a lot of rest...

But in general, why would she go like at least once or twice every week to perform a lot? She said this would be the longest tour to date, but really it's going to be up until end of July? Umm...that's not the longest in terms of calendar length...

But anyways, thanks for sharing, truehappiness and walking.proud! I think maybe she should just stay in Japan while she gets a bit of rest while the JAL bankruptcy situation still follows...

Blasterion 15th January 2010 07:23 AM

ah yes thank you!

not that I'm going...or am I?? ^^

aura~ 15th January 2010 07:25 AM

I've made shot of the website, it's clearer ^^

http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/30/tour2010.jpg

I still count only 31 dates for now ^^

i doesn't say nothing about adding more dates... but you know... they always do ^^ and we have only 31 dates from april until july.. if she's gonna have the longest tour ever in her career she can add a LOT more in autum ^^

nanakopy87 15th January 2010 07:26 AM

wow...31 shows?
how many shows she held for AT08 and AT09?

truehappiness 15th January 2010 07:26 AM

Knowing Ayu, she will most likely add dates after a-nation occurs in August/September and end the tour some time in October or November like she did last year for AT09. I remember we had no idea that AT09 was going to extend into late October last year, and then when she added the dates, it was like "WHAT?" and people were surprised. We should probably expect a repeat of whatever she does at AT10 at a-nation '10 after having Mirrorcle World and Rule be the opening acts for the last two years. I wonder why she waits until it gets close to a-nation to announce those dates... I guess to see if she's up to it?

!!! at the tickets being 700 yen more than usual. (7800 yen is the usual price.)

Bigtop 15th January 2010 07:27 AM

Umm...8500 yen!!? I mean, previously it was around 5500-6500 or some 7500 yen, but 8500 yen!!? Why does Avex really have to set Ayu's concert ticket prices that high!!? :thud

(That's around $93.25 in USD, as of 1/15/2010 - really quite high there...)

aura~ 15th January 2010 07:29 AM

@nanakopy87
at 2008 had around 33 but with Asian dates, AT 09 had 35 only in japan (I think so ^^)

Blasterion 15th January 2010 07:30 AM

hmmm I guess they need the cash since everything's gone up...
or maybe everybody's getting golden tickets..??? ;D

nanakopy87 15th January 2010 07:31 AM

so,i think she'll add some dates in the future?since it not considered as longest tour unless she's going to taiwan or shanghai or hong kong for her extended NEXT LEVEL concert(if she counted that to AT10)

kyomiayu 15th January 2010 07:32 AM

FInally it out! Gonna plan my trip now

polka-dot-jewel 15th January 2010 07:32 AM

Ayu holds very grand tours each year. It's very expensive to move around the sets to and from each city. Because Ayu told us she would be having a longer and / or bigger tour this year, the ticket prices increased... probably.

jbrat2219 15th January 2010 07:38 AM

Ugh I was hoping for a title... but at least now I can plan my Japan trip around which date I'll be going to.

emi♡ 15th January 2010 07:40 AM

ouch at the ticket prices~

But well...at least we know what is offsetting the cost lol

PoetGirl 15th January 2010 07:40 AM

finally.

aura~ 15th January 2010 07:42 AM

first post updated (it would be nice to change the thread title to "ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2010 A (provisional) [dates announced] anyone know how to do it? only mods can do??

well so that's it... I was also impresed how they increased the price... but well... It has been quite a lot of years and the price was the same... amb used to see prices increas every year for everything... so well... ^^

as you can see in the screenshot it says that TA will start buying tickets on the 18th of january ^^ so only in 3 days tickets will start selling for TA ^^

Maybe those high prices are to offset those costs associated to a lot of moving, because they're going to visit a lot of venues...

And maybe sometime later this year she might announce the autumn campaign of the Arena Tour 2010, as usually a-nation comes in August, and the autumn campaign during October (maybe November also) might also be exciting; she might also add dates during the spring/early summer campaign, but we'll just have to see...

7800 yen is the usual price for her CDLs and tours, at least it's been like that since AT05, I think. (Checked AT05 and it was 7500 yen back then.) It's really not that much higher. But the higher ticket prices might translate to needing more money to execute the tour. (new set? bigger outfits? something else?)

Maybe also struggling economic conditions?

jbrat2219 15th January 2010 07:45 AM

If the price of the tour jumped, maybe Ayu is taking AHS's tour advice.... xD;

emi♡ 15th January 2010 07:45 AM

I really hope it is for something cool, and not for avex just wanting to be sure of a profit.

(and i mean like...not because of something cool)

truehappiness 15th January 2010 07:47 AM

It's a little too big of an increase for it to be because of economic conditions. A hundred or so yen, maybe... but 700? It'll probably show in the tour itself since the tickets are so much more expensive. I wonder how much the production cost for this tour will end up being.

Yeah, we could try to take a look at the production costs, but unless we politely ask Avex about it after they post those dates in Ayu's actual official website, then this data is quite a bit classified...

Ayumiko 15th January 2010 07:53 AM

finally tour dates! I don't mind another arena tour...I guess the overseas concert thing won't be happening. New album in March?

btw...how soon after last year's tour date announcement did we get the info on the NEXT LEVEL album release?

From what I've seen, production costs tend to almost always be revealed in post-concert articles. I think AT07 was something like 1.6-1.7 billion yen? Even DOME TOUR 2001 was said to have been around that price.

Also, since CDL09-10's tickets were offered at the normal price, I don't think much has happened economically since a few weeks ago, so that somewhat rules out the economic times as a reason for why the prices are slightly higher.

love in music 15th January 2010 07:56 AM

So we should get an album before april 10th then. An album announcement by Feb maybe? Hopefully sooner.

emi♡ 15th January 2010 07:56 AM

Maybe they're scared of ticket sales being low?

(:laugh)

About a month after. February 10th last year (heh, my birthday... what.) was when we first had notice of a new album coming out in March via an avex press release posted by Coelacanth. The album will likely come out in a similar timeframe.

Yeah, and that's why this will be one of her longest tours ever...

It makes (slightly crazy) sense to me, but it's not funny at all. More shows means that more fans will be going, so even if the some shows don't sell out, there will be another show that is also near capacity to make up for it. However, from what I saw from photos and the like, AT09 had slowish sales at the start, but still ended being relatively full/sold out.

LOL. Not really considering if they were that worried, they wouldn't give her more dates. I'm going with production costs on this one. :P

emi♡ 15th January 2010 08:06 AM

:laugh I'm just messing with you true.

I really hope that the increase is for a cooler show...but I kinda...don't get my hopes up for tours anymore lol

It's probably just to cover the costs of more venues for more profit.

truehappiness 15th January 2010 08:11 AM

Well, people out there should note that higher production costs isn't necessarily going to mean a better show or that you'll like it.

Don't overhype yourselves and then fume at Ayu for not living up to your hype later on.

"But the tickets cost 700 yen more than they did in the last 3-4 years! WHY ISN'T THE SHOW GREATER? BYE AYU."

I wouldn't expect anything either, but it is kind of interesting. I mean her prices are amazingly low to begin with but an increase after 5 years kind of makes me wonder... If it were just to cover costs of venues, why weren't AT07's and AT08's prices higher? She went overseas for goodness sake lol (unless they were higher and I'm just dumb lmao). I thinking (but not expecting) that she may be building a new stage design and the works for this tour.

Ayumiko 15th January 2010 08:14 AM

I do hope that this year's tour will be better than last year's...at least better outfits please! If 09-10 cdl is like the prelude of the tour, then that gives me hope. The money spent on the cdl outfits especially the dancers were decent.

C+R+E+AYUMI 15th January 2010 08:15 AM

njanjayrp 15th January 2010 08:18 AM

So Ayu pretty much over-exaggerated the longevity of this tour as I said, even if they do add a couple of dates after, it could end up having a similar number of dates as the NEXT LEVEL one.

Didn't she go to like Taiwan and stuff? Dude, they probably paid her to go over there :P

nah, I think it was more like 09 was the test run, and this is their solution for making more munny off having more dates.

But whatever, I'm kinda excited for the tour anyway...because I feel like, even if she does rehash whatever, it's going to be interesting and different in some way.

My only tiff with the costumes are those stupid pants where the sides are cut and you can see her legs! xD; Either wear proper pants or take them off, woman! I wouldn't mind the latter. :lech

I suppose you're right. I'm looking forward to this tour as I have all her other ones though. No more or less... But for some reason I have a feeling she has a few surprises up her sleeve... Especially if CDL was the prelude to this year's theme.

well even if this tour will have 1 more date than NL tour, it will still make this one her longest tour. :D

Anyways, koda's UNIVERSE arena tour tickets are selling at 7500 each. I really wonder what's so different about this tour of ayu's that the price increased...

truehappiness 15th January 2010 08:36 AM

According to tethevo/teth@JPM, mixi is getting worked up over the 700 yen price increase... I wonder if TeamAyu members will message her about it. Maybe then we'll get an answer via her blog?

About this tour being intense, I'm hoping she'll be able to manage her voice through all the concerts. She mentioned in the SCawaii interview that her throat was strained during AT09, but hopefully she learned from that experience. I really don't want her to get sick or lose her voice after the first few dates like last year... oi. That seemed like a disaster. How do you perform two days in a row when you lose your voice?!

Misa-chan 15th January 2010 08:37 AM

I'm kind of worried about her here though. Looking at the tour dates, she's really giving herself no rest at all. :no

2 consecutive days at each venue, then less than a week to move everything to the next venue (most of which are in different prefectures). And she's going to do this for 3 whole months.

She's really stressing herself out this time. I don't recall her previous tours being so intensive.

Andrenekoi 15th January 2010 08:39 AM

^Oh noes! She is gonna die!

NL tour was just like this iirc. Still, I'll be wishing her luck.

Matthew 15th January 2010 08:44 AM

I guess I'll be off to one of the Saitama dates then. I'm not that bothered about the price increase, I have to usually pay about ¥15,000 for a reseller shop ticket anyway :(

I'm pretty sure her workload was way more intense than this back in the day. Not to mention, Ayu is physically capable of carrying out these tours. Unfortunately, the same can not be said for her voice. That's what I am most worried about.

Apparently, that's the current concern we have... :(

ayuready1232 15th January 2010 10:30 AM

when will the tickets go on sale for the FC and public?

you can't really deduct this from the two dates that CDL makes up. a nationwide tour grosses much much more and it only makes sense (for avex) to increase prices then. we don't really know if avex is in any kind of financial trouble. in any case I'd be interested if this made avex' stock rise. instanto $$

Honestly, I'm very hoping she can take her rest... I think she need that to make another great songs just like in the past. She obviously too much push for production, tour, TV promotional and everything. :no

I'm really excited about this tour too but still... she should take a rest just for a while...

Matthew, there's still Yokohama Arena on May 15th and 16th. It wasn't translated correctly. We could go for that one too.

I'm hoping this. It's a big increase, so if I was a paying customer I'd be expecting more. What is she going to do? Excited to find out!

crea_spain 15th January 2010 02:39 PM

I'm sad to see that I awoke from the dream of a possible World Tour even though I trust there will be add more tour dates but also happy that she will start 2010 arena tour in April cause I'll go back to Japan in this month and quite possibly could go see her first two shows (again as in AT09) at Saitama Super Arena and maybe to April 22nd at Osaka-jo Hall ^^

so who's coming from AHS to see ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2010? ^v^

AyuGAME 15th January 2010 03:05 PM

From the dates,i think there is a lot of possibility that she will extend her tour to asia or maybe world. There is empty slot on october-november.So still crossing our fingers together

nanakopy87 15th January 2010 03:11 PM

i still don't hope she will extend her concert to worldwide.i only hope she will do her concert @ Japan or taiwan.

I must be the only one who is happy she isn't touring in asia or worldwide actually ^^.
