And I think in the prologue we should say that maybe in this book there are letter from 100 fans, but that there're a lot more that aren't on the internet, or couldn't participate on this project...

I hope we get alot of people to do this, a few hundred from around the world. I mean this book is a representation of all her fans that she doesn't know of, so if the book ends up being really thin, I think it'll sort of be a letdown.

You can put it on the center most part of the page.
But in my case, I put my country's flag instead of Ayu A. :)

@everyone: it's true. D< When I saw "for ta" I thought that was a real slap in the face. She has no plans on touring outside asia, TA is only for members in japan, she never talks about, or collabs or anything with any artist. She can kind of speak english but she very rarely ever uses it in songs. and when she does, its never a heavy amount of english, maybe a word here and there. It's like She only wants to exist in japan or something. She acts like ta members are her only fans. Like they're the only ones helping her get the millions she makes every year. >>

I do love the title though, A WORLD IS ONE is awesome. I do hope a lot of people are getting involved in this, like Picaflor said, only about 30 or so people doing this is going to be pretty disappointing, and Ayu will think there aren't that many international fans, so what's the point of touring outside of Japan/Asia? Not like this book is going to make her think about a world tour or anything, but maybe it could!

.png isn't for web only use? I read that before in a design web o.o
for press are .TIFF, PFD and JPG but this last one has a bad resolution, the problem here is that the first ones are too heavy

Basically, .jpg is a lossy format that is designed for saving photos nicely. However, it can't handle sharp contrasts very well, which means it's not very suitable for text, and since we're writing letters there's obviously gonna be lots of that. But the .png format can handle this just fine, which is why i think .png should be better for this project. See here for explanations (scroll to the bottom for summary). Also see this page for some more examples.

Of course, if you guys have made jpgs already and didn't save the photoshop file or something, then by all means don't stress about starting over. But if you did save the photoshop file, you can just save your page directly to .png from that.

QUESTION! I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered, but I don't have time to comb these pages.

I know we have to write in English, but if we want to quote her lyrics to express why we like them or something of that nature, can we put that in Japanese? Sometimes English translations don't carry the meaning as well and I'd like to be as clear to her as possible? Is it okay if we put an English translation with it?

^of course! And I think it's better that if you quote Ayu's lyrics you put them in japanese cause if not Ayu will be "mmmm where do this lyrics come from?" She will have enough work reading in english all our letters, her lyrics should remain in japanese...

Okay I'm gonna start my page, but I have a problem. On Photoshop, when I set the size to A4, it shows the dimensions in mm. There's another part that says

Resolution: xx pixels/inch

I always use 300 for my graphics, but when I put it as 300 there, the thing turns out to be VERY HUGE. Like the page needs to be scaled down to 16.7% of its original size just to fit into my screen! And my screen is 1280x800?!

So is that correct cos it's so big, and if it's not, can someone tell me what to do lol.

My screen is 1024 x 768 and to fit the whole thing on screen (with Paint Shop Pro) it's 16% zoomed. haha So yeah, that sounds right. It is really huge. I think it's like that so when it's scaled down to fit paper it will be really nice quality! :yes

^I wouldn't think you have to be all flashy with it. The most simple things can be the most meaningful, imo. :) So whatever you feel you want to do, go for it!

Something really simple is fine too. It's not a contest! We want as many international fans as possible to be able to reach Ayu!! We want her to know that it's not just TA!!

Write something in Word, or just in a Photoshop page. Add a little bit of color and where you're from. It's simple! I like the idea of putting a picture of yourself with one of Ayu's CD. But it's totally up to you!! Do whatever you want! Write her to tell her thank you. Write her to tell her which songs you love. Write her to tell her how much she changed your life. It doesn't have to be a wall of text! Heck! Put a picture of your Ayu collection if you want! Lol

If you only want to say "Thanks Ayu!" with your name and where you're from, then just do that!

The point of this book (from my understanding, anyway) is for her to know how much her international fans love her and support her! I'm sure she will be touched, if we can really get it to her, even if we have to send it to TA.

We have fans in several countries, if she's not in London, I'm sure we can find a fan it whatever country she's in and all try to get to her BY HAND. That would ensure that she gets it, and we will know that our hard work would not be for nothing.

The "problem" here is if TikTok don't have the same typography that you use in the letter... I think you can convert your letter from word document to PDF file, that protect your typography colors, etc...
