^^ikr. There's no hikki song I hate. So that's why I just consider her my fa along with ayu. Even if there's a lot more songs from her I have issues listening to.
Its more like I used to love r&b but now most of it sounds dull and generic so it was the same realization for hikki music
Its not like I could expect mariah carey out of her r&b though *sigh*

And the other songs. I'd just rather not listen but I've heard them enough to remeber them. But anyway that's why I asked for ur least favorites. I don't figure many hikki fans hate her stuff.
Though Automatic part 2. It just makes me feel like a hypocrite willingly listening to that. Which makes me a pathetic person.

Hikki has so many fantastic songs in her career. Even if I don't listen to her anymore like now. I at least know that these genius songs and albums existed. And her lyrics. :heart
I'm jealous how poetic she is

Best first post ever!

Maybe Hikki retired and forgot to tell the world.

JackieRos 29th July 2010 11:26 PM

Pretty sure she's too lazy to retire. And even if she did, she'd be too lazy to tell us.

KremlinChaos 30th July 2010 03:00 AM

I doubt Utada is still going to retire at 28. That was from an interview 6 years ago where she was struggling to make music. During the HEART STATION era she said she was planning on performing for another 10 years if I recall correctly.

WELCOME BACK, haven't seen you here in ages! (but I might not have been paying attention).

Anyway, I agree with you. If she'd have actual recorded material, then what's taking her so long? I think the song is still under construction.

Oh and I've been completely addicted to the Utada United live version of Kremlin Dusk ~ YMMWTBAM, it's so amazing!! gives me chills.

:wave Yeah, the American Tour talk really bored me and I had nothing to add, but it has stopped now.

As time went on we thought the supposedly recorded material was going to be a new theme for Evangelion. What a dud that turned out to be. That's when all hope began sinking and I made some fake announcement of some song in which I can't recall the name of now.

And yeah, I love the live version of "You Make Me Want To Be A Man" so much more than the studio version and I don't believe I even started liking "Kremlin Dusk" until I saw that live performance of it.

And hi Corikaru ^^ We haven't had some red in the posts here for a while, but there wasn't anything to talk about so I don't blame ya XD

:wave Hey.

Figured I'd wait for some news, but it never came, and I got bored.

I've been suspicious as to whether Utada is putting off releasing music because she doesn't want to release a Single in these low selling times and have it really bomb. In that way, it's kind of a blessing and a curse, but I don't see physical purchases ever going back up in the world so she's going to have to deal with it sooner or later if that is indeed the case.

^I knew that was fake the moment I saw it, but I really like the cover. I don't like how it says "live at irving plaza" though. I really hope that if we get a dvd for it, it'll be a compilation of all her performances. Especially since she only had 9 stops so it shouldn't be that hard to do. I don't even know if I'd want to own the dvd. Going there and seeing her live was enough for me. I might buy it though just to see me on a dvd. :D

Are you serious? You're the creator of this whole "Show Me Love" crap going on for a few months now?

primavera♥ 30th July 2010 06:23 AM

^i hope they are cuz I would be laughing myself to tears if they were. Oh gods~

But they may be referring to something else. Considering show me love is the thread title andi think they would remeber it, yeah?

Pieces_of_SEVEN 30th July 2010 06:27 AM

cute fake cover. lol

mcluva420 30th July 2010 06:59 AM

it would be cool if In The Flesh goes DVD but i doubt its happening :no

Keiichi_JPU 30th July 2010 10:09 AM

That DVD cover gave me a heart attack, thank you very much!! :laugh

And to answer questions, no Corikaru is not the creator of the Show Me Love rumor since it was on some website and I saw it myself. (so unless he hacked an entire website.. nah)

I forgot which website it was.. that's stupid though, since I used to check it every day to see if Show Me Love had returned to the list >__> can someone refreshen my memory?

Dunno about the other shows, but during the final in London they had quite some camera's for such a small venue, and they were filming throughout the entire concert, and they filmed the fans during the wait between the main setlist and the encore and stuff.. I'm pretty sure we'll get a DVD. eventually.

Zeke. 30th July 2010 10:32 AM

I think when it was stated that Hikki had the vision for her next album put together, and was ready to get to work on it, her "vision" was more something like this:

Week 1: "I think I should start working on new material."
Week 2: "Perhaps a new album."
Week 3: "For my fans."
Week 4: "Kuma, you so cute!"
Week 5: *writes in blog*
Week 6: *posts photo in blog*
Week 7: Repeat weeks 1-6

wildconnetta 30th July 2010 12:14 PM

^^ Wasn't it DSIGN Music?

JackieRos 30th July 2010 12:30 PM

Is it bad that I noticed the little hikki logo first and not hikki herself:laugh

ohsixthirty 30th July 2010 01:59 PM

I almost died when I saw the DVD cover. Uggggh. I hope it will be released one day, but I doubt it. :(

primavera♥ 30th July 2010 02:15 PM

I want a dvd of that concert since I didn't get to go. I need to get my drivers liscense now. If only I were 16.
But I would need a plane to see hikkis show.I just wanna know why she couldn't go to atlanta. If miyavi can go there hikki can too.
especially if she wants to stay away from florida

So I want a dvd release. Espeically if they were recording the concert. T.T that would be a solid good release for her.

Cameras mean nothing. There are always cameras, whether it's for documentary, or commercial purposes. Just because there were cameras doesn't mean they will put it on dvd. Of course it was recorded. there was also a few cameras at the NYC one too.

In New York City at Skylight Studios on February 23, 2005, Utada held a live showcase to American press, in which she performed six songs: "Devil Inside", "Hotel Lobby", "Exodus '04", "Animato", "You Make Me Want To Be a Man" and finally "Kremlin Dusk" as an encore. Though footage of this concert was recorded (bootleg as well as official) a DVD of this performance was never released.
This right here tells me that just because there were cameras recording stuff, doesn't mean it will be put on dvd. All concerts (whether private or public) have cameras, to document the performance.

They weren't just recording the performance, they were filming the queue outside, and during the concert also filming the crowd at times. It really was filmed in a way to be put on dvd!

I'm sorry I have to go against you but I just want a DVD and I won't have my hopes shattered just because of that stupid showcase that was never put on DVD :laugh

primavera♥ 30th July 2010 11:04 PM

^oh don't shatter ur bright hopes. What the point in hoping and expecting the worst :3
