I looked into the gift card thing...and apparently for 3000 yen, it's about $45...

which sucks. And the 1500 yen ones werent in stock at the site I saw...and they were like $25...

I wonder if it's possible to use a site like CELGA...

I'm pretty sure I read the same post and what was said was she couldn't 'rip' it. She can still upload the m4p... It's a file saved to her computer after all.

you can remove the protection from itunes files, i'm sure that person just didn't know how...or have enough intelligence to realize it was possible.

It could just be Japan, because someone on YouTube sent me an Australian iTunes file and it works just fine on my computer...

^iTunes Japan still uses DRM on their files and it's pretty restrictive. I think you're only allowed to listen to your music on one computer. :P

Most other iTunes stores did away with DRM a few years ago and instead just embed your account info into your files; the idea being you won't share them because they can be tracked.

But there are many ways around that.

One of the easiest (in terms of no additional programs being needed) is to burn the song to a music CD (which iTunes does allow) and then rip the song from that CD back into your library. Of course a conversion program or something like that avoids having to burn at all, but still.

It can totally be done - a member here did it with YUMMY's You Make A Magic feat. Ami Suzuki.

I'm just not too optimistic about it when the most common method is to transcode the file. Transcoding from lossy to lossy is never a good idea and I hate how common it is in the Asian music scene. As long as the bitrate looks big, people don't care how it sounds. :P

The best way would be to remove the DRM from the protected AAC files using an external app, but I don't know if there are any apps like that still being actively developed and maintained since projects like that are usually spearheaded by Westerners. If someone could tell me of one (maybe via PM as I don't know if it's allowed to link to stuff like that) I'd be interested.

So...I know this is old and we are still nowhere near getting the song...BUT...I've been watching more ENA lately, and I decided to finally watch this MTV special thing on youtube about her store...and low and behold, it had all sorts of info on the song "Only One"....so peoples might have already seen this, but I'm gonna post it here anyways....

It has a much longer clip of the song playing, and you can see her in the recording studio, and filming the PV. Soulja is in it too lol (This is part 2, part 1 is more about emoda)



So I really love the whole version...and I have to find a way to get the song or my life is incomplete...does ANYONE have it yet?
