^ I really hope avex will let her to get some rest next year, she wants to go to Paris and NY in winter and LA and Hawaii in summer but seems this is only her wish... makes me feel sad.

I doubt she's retiring. She's only young, I see her having a 20th anniversary atleast before she retires.

I really doubt she's about to retire anytime soon. Like everyone said, Virgin Road is for her mother. And she's had songs like this before. :yes
Also, when you say "L" in roman numerals is "50" or "last" keep in mind that "L" is the last single in the 3 single project :yes

i think Ayu has more say in if she wants to take a break or not. Avex can't really deny her of that, considering she's they're biggest money maker. :laugh

I'd like to think that twitter has given her another reason to continue singing, because she can hear the voices of all those who love her, and support her, and I think that's what drives her to be so busy, so she can make the people who encourage her and rely on her on Twitter happy, and this in turn will make her happy. She's gotten all of her energy back, and judging by the latest releases, her voice is almost top form, there's no way she'll go on a break now... she's really happy about where she is now, because you can even see it in her tweets... so great and happy and everything. It's really inspiring.

Considering Matsuda Seiko, Nakamori Akina, and others are still singing after almost 30 years, don't worry, I think Ayu will be the same LOL

I hope people will finally realize that she's not going anywhere for quite a while. It came from Ayu herself...so yea. Stop with all the "she's retiring soon, her lyrics say so" crap. It's NOT true.

I'm pretty sure Ayu could not live without the music so of course she will never retire but as you can read in her tweet she HERSELF says wants to get a break / vacation but seems as it's only her wish... because of the "?"

it seems like she have to ask permission from the daddy "avex" to get a rest... if so, why not to change to Sony or EMI? answer has a name: Max Matsuura, she loves him too much to leave avex.

I think she's not happy working 24/7, imo she continues working hard not for herself but because she love many people (her staff is like a family for her, her dancers, her band, the fans) and to not leave them behind she keeps working hard for everyone of them, I'm sure she herself would like to enjoy her own life so after reading lyrics of her new songs I have the feeling that she found someone and will marry next year but hey, this is just my opinion.

I need some clarification here - I'm getting confused about Ayu's Twitter situation and the "retiring"/"take a break" issue - what did Ayu say? Is she taking a break? Well, already someone said earlier she's not retiring, but is Ayu about to take a break in 2011???

she said wanted to go to Paris, NY, LA, Hawaii... she said next year wanted to take a break / vacation... she can't be working without stop all her life, mygosh... she is the hardest working lady in music, she deserves takes a vacation.

I think she will never retire.
