Girl Next Door tells me it is...

But I kind of hate eurobeat now, lol.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 11th January 2011 07:38 PM

^^Honestly I really doubt ayu-ro-mix will happen...

6 wasn't really a bad album, unlike how 5 was. I just found most of the remixes on 6 to be bland and not my style. There were really no remixes that I really liked that much, except for the MSTRKFT remix of Beautiful Fighters. I much preferred the style of remixes that were on 2, 3, and 4 I think.

If a new Ayumix DID come out, I'd LOVE it if they got lots of electro/nu-disco/french house remixers like Russ Chimes, Fred Falke, Grum, Fear of Tigers, Penguin Prison, Starsmith, etc to work on it! :D

Pieces_of_SEVEN 11th January 2011 09:00 PM

ayu-mi-x 6 was half and half.

60% of the albums were horrible, IMO.

Cyria 11th January 2011 09:14 PM

Trance, awesome! And they're actually considering another Ayu-ro mix? YES!

channy 11th January 2011 09:26 PM

ayu-mi-x 6 -GOLD- and -SILVER- were about the best ayu-mi-x albums so far, in my opinion. This being said, I would add those edited iTunes ayu-mi-x 6 remixes to the discussion as well, because especially the YOJI's GAME remixes are by far the heaviest and best ayu-mi-x remixes I have ever heard, man! =O

Regarding the upcoming ayu trance album, I wish to get at least a 2DISC album or two different versions in the same style of ayu-mi-x 6, as there have been added lots of new songs to Ayu's discography and they should remix at least 25 songs of them!

Picaflor 7/4 11th January 2011 10:43 PM

Ayu better get some top names going for this remix album. I demand people like yoji, ferry corsten, above and beyond, deadmau5, yasutaka nakata, and wideboys. I never understood why all her remixes (except a few) are by some cheapo, never heard of, amateur remixers. She can afford top dollar ones. I don't want to hear any crap about her not being able to afford them she's one of the richest women in japan. (tbh though she actually does a good job when it comes to ayu trance. but all her other remix albums seem to have low quality remixers)

channy 11th January 2011 11:19 PM

I absolutely can't agree with this.

Don't know, what do you mean with "she's rich, she can afford expensive DJ's" because this is not something that has to do with buying pricey celebrity DJ's. Just because someone is famous, does not mean he/she is actually good.

These so called "amateurs" should not be underestimated, as for example DJ Amaya proves it since almost eight years, that underground still has skills that are not uncommonly way above mainstream works of producer/DJs.

Please name some of these low quality albums and explain why they should be called like this.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 11th January 2011 11:53 PM

The only exceptionally bad remixes I can think of are some of the ones from her older ten-track singles. then most of the tracks from ayu-mi-x 5 and 6.

lol Yeah. This is basically what I'm talking about. I probably shouldn't say album, but her old singles were long enough to be considered albums.

AyUta 12th January 2011 01:26 AM

I'm so glad for this :banana2

The thing with 6 was that sure about 40% were pretty bad, but the other 60% (I thought) were absolutely amazing.

clara adnaloy 12th January 2011 06:07 AM

yes!!! Ayu-trance 4!!!

Sandy 12th January 2011 07:09 AM

Well remix-albums are not so important to me, but I have the thing that I have to buy every single Ayu album ever made. But I don't listen to remix-songs, ever. Unless they are like euromegamix from LOVEppears Disc2 b/c it has like several Ayu songs put it one and that's what I like ^^

I basically just wanna see the cover(s) of the remix-CD. But if she's really gonna have mixed version of Sexy little things or rollin' I wont' even bother trying to listen... And then again, one more remix of GREEN or Fly high I'm gonna go craaaazy ~~~ >:<

You never know. Even if they do remix those songs, they might end up sounding NOTHING like the originals, like with Push's remix of Boys and Girls. ^^

I think the best way to promote this release would be to include a brand-new trance-based song. Pair up with Ferry Corsten and call it Disconnected. :yes

ownsarai 12th January 2011 11:57 AM

LOL damn you Pieces_of_SEVEN...making me think the release date was announced. xD
Oh well, I still can't wait for this!

Good idea! And a new pv to promote it would be great too. :)

This exactly.

I think it was a hate and love type of thing. There wasn't a single remix that I was like "meh". It was either I love it or I hate it. And it was about that, 60% good and 40% bad.

Not unless you count the dream I had the other night in which ayu trance 4 was released on that date. lol
