remember when she did the PVs with mannie, there was also hinted he was cheating on ayu (that's what the other girl symbolized for me in last angel or love song, i forget...) not really a positive PV... talk about a self fulfilling prophecy!!

and now this? they are constantly shoving each other around. this would not be good publicity at all :p so weird...

and yeah, she is out of sync in snowy kiss and the slow motion does not at all fit to this fast song.

i wonder if ayu always gets into a physical fight if she is having an argument with someone, lol... too much of that abusive behavior lately, wtf is going on??? :shakehead

I'm uncomfortable with the content of PVs like snowy kiss etc., too. I also think she's singing about Mannie, and perhaps her past relationships in general, but even given metaphor and artistic direction, I don't know why you would want to act out a scene like that with a new love--the literally violent end to a relationship--and present it to a public who has only just learned you're together. Also, how could you ever bring yourself to watch the result?
Watching them smack each other around in despair makes me really uncomfortable.

I don't know...Ayu's been much more into sort of..."literal" or real-life-ish (as opposed to fantastical PVs with no apparent setting, like ourselves, STEP you, forgiveness, or even BALLAD) stories in her videos. Maybe that's what makes me uncomfortable? She's very obviously presenting a real relationship she's had/is having, and doing so with actual romantic partners in actual locations "as themselves." So while I don't think this is what their relationship is like in reality, it feels somehow just real enough to make me uncomfortable watching.

I wonder if these concepts are taken from Ayu's relationship experiences or its all just for fun, dramatics or has her and her team run out of great/good conceptions...

I know they are just P/Vs but I find myself asking, does she like to get thrown around and abused? I've kind of had enough of it; I'm over it. Ayu, get over it! Move on to a different concept and stop beating the dead horse with the Maro-beating-up-on-me series! Doesn't paint a good picture of your new beau anyway.

Its great if this was for domestic violence awareness or something, but it clearly is not.

I have to say it: She looks amazing as a fairy, as a princess or as a hipercute girl but... I love to see that Ayu, like a woman in a bad time of her life, arguing and fighting.
Maybe it's odd but when I'm watching Snowy Kiss preview I think: "I wanna do this, I sometimes wanna act like that" and I like it because I feel she "understands" me.
Maybe I love variety, that's all.
And I like her as a ordinary woman, no as a flawless princess.

I really like these pvs. I feel they are linking into you & me, and I'm sure ayu has a good enough reason from her private life to do these.

From what I can make out of snowy kiss so far, the lyrics are really sad, and it reflects in the pv. she wants people to feel uncomfortable. She wants people to think that not every relationship is 'perfect'.

I also think because her and Maro are together they can act really well together. Because at the end of the day when the camera stops rolling he's not gunna hit her in real life. Or she would have chosen another guy to represent him in the video.

But yeah, just my thoughts, I can't wait to see the full videos :)

Also, I think she is showing two 'extremes' of love. just how I see it after seeing real life couples like both in you& me and snowy kiss.

Love the pvs. I don't think they're boring at all. I love pvs like JEWEL too but it's great to see her out of that bubble and in the real world.

I love how she goes after him after she pushes him over the bed and into the lamp. Ouch!

domestic violence is as far as I know not very much talked about in japan (i know it's a big issue everywhere but....). ...I mean that country has mentall issues and doesn't have the pros to make that better. So i think it might actually very much BE something to show that if the relationship is all pretty and what not, there might be a darker side on it too. It doesn't have to be directly related to her.

and we can't clearly see if it is or it's not. we don't know. One we DO know - she is a smart woman and has compassion to those who have been through things. Maybe she finally decided to actually go REAL in her PVs and show the true world instead of as someone said fairies, butterflies and imaginary places.
I actually DO like this side of her. There has been a few, but she's not known for much of a big drama going on in her vids ;p
