I hate be a buzz kill but I think it was mostly due to the fact it received a huge price cut on the site, like it was for 1,500 yen only on the month of august.

Still, it's cool since it encouraged people to buy it, I just wish that site would she actually numbers and sales figures. or certifications, so that we can now how much it sold exactly.

It doesn't make this any less significant. The important things is people are still interested and besides what's marketing for.

I don't think the discount doesn't make the return less amazing, but neither is insignificant. There's a huge difference between "omg it's summer I miss ayu I'll look for her songs to buy" and "Oh, there's that ayu compilation with many amazing songs and at that price! It's a must-get". Still, impressive she made it to #2.

Just makes me think of how pityful it is there was no new summer song this year ]: She didn't release a summer song in her 10th as well, but still...
